  13. Prologue
  14.
  15. They were the immensely popular vampires from manga and movies.
  16. Those fantasies had become real.
  17. Since ages past, humans and vampires had engaged in bloody conflict. But it wasn’t something that was publicly known. Instead, it was a secret battle in the dark side of society. The knowledge of the existence of vampires was absolutely forbidden from becoming public.
  18. However, social media completely crushed that rule.
  19. In a society where information could spread to countless numbers of people in real-time, the presence of vampires could no longer be hidden.
  20. The vampires, who went along with the trends of the time, made their existence known to the world.
  21. It was a social phenomenon commonly called “The Vampire’s Spring” even until now.
  22. While it was something that was hard to immediately believe, the vampires truly did exist. They weren’t just products sealed within books, but real creatures that walked this earth.
  23. It was truly frightening.
  24. But at the same time, there was a strong sense of fascination.
  25. By just existing, they injected variety into the people who were bored with their lives. Even the people who were not actively involved had their worldview completely turned around.
  26. Vampires were truly dangerous creatures.
  27. They had to be treated with plenty of caution and preparation.
  28. Anyone who was not careful enough would tragically meet their end.
  29. But humanity’s curious fascination had no end.
  30. And the vampires played along.
  31. Something had to be done.
  32. But the time to make a choice was already long past.
  33. This status quo has to be corrected, even if the dangerous creatures had to be utilized.
