  1. Goodbye Romanization"Itʼs not you. Itʼs me." As youʼve probably noticed already, writing Korean usingRomanization (using the English alphabet) is a bit messy, and as we go on it will grow evenfurther away from the actual Korean sounds. This is why from now on, there will be nomore Romanization used in this book, with the exception of teaching pronunciation of newsounds. By the start of Chapter 1, it will be completely absent from this book.

Itʼs important to become comfortable with how 한글 actually sounds, and to steer awayfrom writing or even reading the sounds written with the English alphabet.It might be a bit difficult at first, but I promise you that your Korean will improve muchmore by learning the language exclusively through 한글.Now letʼs continue learning the rest of the letters in 한글.
