Usagi, a normal teenage girl, finds out she's Sailor Moon and gets into all sorts of trouble at the beginning trying to fight for love and justice. She then gets better and with her friends Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus they fight against the evils of The Dark Kingdom, The Hell Tree, and The Black Moon.
The magical action-adventures of a teenage girl who learns of her destiny as the legendary warrior Sailor Moon and must band together with the other Sailor Soldiers to defend the Earth and Galaxy.
As an anime fan it is mandatory to watch the 'classics'. This was not one of them. i had expected one of the most hyped anime of all time to be great, with interesting characters, good writing and at minimum a decent plot. What i got was a repetitive bore that was more like watching Pokemon than Cowboy Bebop. i apologize but this show is SO stupid. The characters suck, are pathetic and at times downright stereo-typical. The plot is so far-fetched and clichéd that even avant Anime fans will cringe at the lack of an explanation and the cheesy love story aspect of it could have been thought of by a 10 year old. There's no surprises in the story, and when they are they become boring. No where near the brilliance of Fullmetal Alchemist or Cowboy Bebop, this show even fails to keep up with shows from it's own time like Ranma 1/2, and that didn't even air in the US(but that was due to it's mature content.). It in no way shape or form earns it's 'classic' status,and is more comparable to Dragonball Z and Pokemon then Nadesico, Fullmetal alchemist or Cowboy bebop. don't watch it.
OK OK.. this is without a doubt the cheesiest show ever created.. cheesier then family matters, stupider then saved by the bell and thats why i love it. OK OK, i&#39;ll give you a plot breifing so that this review of sorts looks bigger, it&#39;s about girls in short skits fighting evil...<br/><br/>let that sink in for a minute.<br/><br/>yes. you&#39;re thinking is it REALLY that cheesy?<br/><br/>yes. yes it is.<br/><br/>from the extremely silly characters to the really really stupid plotlines to amazingly bad dialouge, this is a classic peice of cheese. anyone who&#39;s into watching bad TV shows, movies should watch this i think you&#39;d laugh yourself blue.<br/><br/>Rating: 9/10
