The O'Carrowills

A family with a history that extends itself backs to the Age of Gods, they were once during that time a branch family of the Fraga's however when the gods favored them over the Fraga's the O'Carrowills abandoned their vows and took their knowledge swearing an undying rivalry and hatred for the Fraga's and the Gods who blessed them.

This Rivalry continued in secret as works of Rune Magic were fought over and won, eventually this would die down into a Rivalry between the clans, whereas the Fraga's walked from the Mage's Association the O'Carrowills backed as a massive supporter of the Democratic Faction Trambelio making them one of the early supporters and loyal to them with this in mind the family does not hold the Barthomeloi in high regards and can be considered 'fine' with the Meluastea.

Their knowledge of Celtic Magecraft and recorded knowledge from that time earned them a spot as an influential clan within the Clock Tower, however despite this fact the family has only had 7 heads primarily due to the size of the family whereas the Fraga were blessed the O'Carrowill had numbers after all however as of the modern era the family itself had dwindled in size.

The feud between the Fraga's continues in secret with the O'Carrowills purposely collecting Celtic Artifacts and other such things and preserving them within Ireland.

As clear by their rivalry the O'Carrowills are a family whole focus on the knowledge of Runes and the truth behind them and what can be dechipered from them this extends to all forms of Runes regardless of the origin and thus the family has ties across the world in hopes that they can find a pathway to the Root with said knowledge.

Their greatest and most prized prodigy is Elara O'Carrowill who produced Magic Circuits far above normal and their quality was outstanding, ensuring the family to continue on through Elara though the family plans to extend it reaches upon Magecraft and the knowledge of the Moonlit world to the extreme in hopes to replace one of the Three Noble Families of the Clock Tower all though this would take decades of work before it could happen or one of the families suddenly dying off.

Their Sorcery trait is Rune it grants them the blessing of being able to use all forms of Runes with no real drawbacks including Primeval Runes, even being able to skip rituals used to prepare certain 'spells' it is still limited by the user's Magical Circuits though.

They are friends with the Edelfelt's who exchange information with and who Elara learned her martial arts skills from, in turn, they are also on good terms with the Tohsaka family.

In the Stay/Night timeline Unlimited Blade Works in reference it is Elara's father who recommends Shirou to stay full time as a magus and he sees great potential in the boy's magecraft whoever it's inheritor could be and if they refine it well enough, Elara amusingly looks back on this as her Father attempting to prepare a low-class magus to marry into the family.

In the Apocrypha timeline the O'Carrowill's are famous for the war they hosted in the 1980s, that took place in Ireland, this is how came into possession of numerous artifacts and used the war as a way to bait magus's into giving them up in exchange, they returned said bodies to the families but, not before researching them.

Elara was originally going to join the Great Holy Grail War as the Master of Rider but decided against it due to personally knowing Darnic as a fellow Grand, Elara has all participated in 25 Holy Grail Wars as of 2018, she grows tired of them but the Mage's Association tends to send her off from her duties to partake.

As of 2019 Elara has officially let the rivalry between the Fraga's and the O'Carrowills end, viewing them as a family not worth focusing on so much.

The Magic Crest of the family extends across the entire back as every dead member of the family contributes to it, those that don't are not considered to be a part of the family.
