- ELLIS
- Fuck...
- Ellis walks forward.
- The sound of a 1911 being racked echoes through the hallway.
- CHILD ELLIS
- Dad, no! I don't wanna die! I don't

- Child Ellis continues to scream.
- Ellis's face turns to that of fear. He walks forward more.

- ELLIS
- How long have you been there?
- Aster shrugs.
- ASTER
- About an hour.
- ELLIS
- You gonna tell the supervisor?
- ASTER
- Nope.
- ELLIS
- Alright, thanks I guess.
- ASTER
- You're not complete shit, you know.
- At the very least you do your job.
- ELLIS
- You caught me asleep.
- ASTER
- For the first time. Most guys where
- you are aren't shitrags, and you
- sure as hell aren't either.
- ELLIS
- Thanks- I guess.
- Ellis sips his coffee.
- ASTER
- Matthews inbound, get that laptop
- under your desk.
- RONALD MATTHEWS, (mid-20s) comes into the room. Aster goes
- back to vacuuming the floor and puts in earbuds.
- Matthews looks at Ellis. Ellis rolls his eyes and sighs.
- ELLIS
- What?
- MATTHEWS
- What's new, Ellis?
- ELLIS
- The hell are you up to?
- MATTHEWS
- Boss man wanted me to check on you,
- been making sure people are
- checking in?
- ELLIS
- No one's supposed to be here until
- 4AM, Ron.
- MATTHEWS
- Your job is to keep the site
- secure.
- Ellis gives a look of annoyance.
- ELLIS
- Yeah. I am, Captain Matthews.
- Aster comes between the two with a vacuum. Matthews taps
- Aster on the shoulder. Aster takes out his earbuds.
- MATTHEWS
- He doing his job?
- ASTER
- Are you doing yours?
- Matthews walks out in anger.
- ASTER (CONT’D)
- Cunt. Constantly trying to find
- ways to screw with people.
- ELLIS
- Nothing new here.
- Ellis sighs and puts his laptop back on the desk. He opens it
- up and continues to write.
