  1. Patashu Industries produces macro battlemechs known as Battle Fortresses, machines designed to work alongside armies, crews and in combination with other mechs to go on adventures, fill defensive garrisons and turn the tides of war where machines in these size classes are a good fit for the circumstances and challenges. They're often designed with the aesthetic sensibilities and incorporate technological capabilities and game-mechanical metas for the settings that they're designed to be fielded in - Pokemon Battle Fortresses for worlds of pokemon origin, dragons and mythicals and scaled up adventurers for worlds of MMO/final fantasy origin, vehicles and ships for worlds of more pragmatic origin, but no matter the local level of whimsy and ludophilia, Patashu Industries tries its best to make offerings of cute battle critter warmecha, whether it's in their colourful toony aesthetic design or in their iconography and markings and AI avatars if a more pragmatic focus has to be done to fit in, while combining ideas of abilities, moves, magic, video game mechanics and whatnot into combat robot design.

  3. This design in particular is rather special! Rather than a focus on DPS or tanking, it's a Support role Battle Fortress. Most notably, after PI engineers studied the original Shaymin and how it used Grass energy and the physics of the Pokemon setting to cleanse and purify its allies and environment, its head-wings have been repurposed into 'SANCTUARY FIELD' units, which glow with a radiant green outline when in operation, and extend an aura out to nearby friendlies, organic or mechanical alike, and steadily cleanses them of debuffs, tops their HP up, fortifies and energizes. (And it does, as a side-effect, render the surrounding greenery more lush and vibrant, so even that still happens!)

  5. Patashu's been watching development in the Pokemon Battle Fortress series eagerly; he always loves seeing what new creations come of it. This Shaymin Pokemon Battle Fortress has just been freshly prototyped, and Patashu is taking it along for a ride. After in-lab testing and diagnostics have proven promising, a mock mission has been set up to ensure that it's capable of basic field work - walking to multiple checkpoints with activities to do in each. Dealing with an ambush in the forest, helping a downed adventurer get back home, providing defense and aid to a village that comes under siege, et cetera - and then reporting back home to PI HQ to hopefully earn a passing grade, whereupon the model will be available for mass construction and deployment to areas in need of adventurer rescue, clearing out dungeons, stabilizing wartorn regions, as well as for entrance into competitive team mech combat tournaments!

  7. Technical information/specific part details:
  8.
  9. * The green 'mohawk' energy collector mesh: Thanks to analysis of pokemon in the field, a metamaterial that can collect and store grass elemental energy, for use with the other systems.
  10. * The red flower is a SEED-FLARE-100 cannon. It basically unfurls into an energy weapon, swiveling around to aim forward, the petals are shielding/heat radiation around a more delicate internal cannon. In general, energy emissions and blasts from Shaymin are green.
  11. * There's an ENERGY-BALL-73 mawcannon, hidden inside of the maw. It telescopes out when in use.
  12. * Two small LEAF-STORM-91 turrets are mounted in the forehaunches, retracted by default. They're basically the midrange weapoery. They have a wide slit instead of a narrow barrel, for the 'cresent leaf' shape to launch out of.
  13. * The head-wings are the SANCTUARY FIELD units. To make them easy to identify in field use, they're commonly painted (or holographically projected) with markings as follows: The part name is in bright green, and most of the surface area is taken up by a green logo like a stylized Socotra dragon tree ( <https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/83/Socotra_dragon_tree.JPG/1200px-Socotra_dragon_tree.JPG> ) in a green circle. (Basically think of it as a big, obvious identifying logo, that in-context would make you feel the same relief as seeing a green cross symbol because it means you can get nearby for protection and regeneration!). I imagine that they'd have a kind of 'techy' look rather than being blank surfaces, with seamlines branching through them, glowing green energy lines and series of slanted lights, vents, something like that (creative liberty can be taken here). When in operation it'd be outlined by a green aura and anything being effected would have a subtle green stardust shimmer, indicating that it's being healed, rejuvenated and cleared of debuffs.
  14. * The Shaymin Battle Fortress has the cartoony, high saturated, 'shaped like a friend' battle critter look of pokemon, but as a secondary goal also very much looks like a giant, assembled, metal machine where it doesn't compromise the aesthetics. It is also crewable and pilotable with a modest critter carrying capacity, so it can work alongside trained or local personel or carry guests or rescues inside of it.
  15. * The pupils are mechanical apertures. They have a cartoony look, and machinery whirrs and clicks as they swivel around. The glass screen in front of them carries a HUD that can be used to bring up information in real time, and shields the optical machinery against dust and damage.
