  1. >You are Anon, and your ears just picked up the most curious sound
  2. >happy humming coming from one batfilly named Heartbeat
  3. >Curious at what she’s up to now you follow the sound of her humming and soon enough you find her near your stereo system, sitting down on the floor with oversized headphones on her head
  4. >She’s swaying her head back and forth to the beat of the bass, apparent on the display of your stereo system as a line that keeps bouncing up with every untz
  5. >Suddenly the other lines on the display spring to life and heartbeat opens up her wings and now she’s swaying from side to side while flapping her wings to the unheard beat as well
  6. >She hasn’t noticed you yet and you walk closer to her
  7. >You can now hear the music trough the headphones, and it’s pretty catchy
  8. >you walk next to her and she has not yet noticed you
  9. >She’s now got her hooves holding the headphones on her head as she moves from side to side more roughly
  10. >You peek at her face but she’s got her eyes closed and her mouth in a big grin
  11. >You shake your head and poke her
  12. >Heartbeat stops moving as she lets out an eep of surprise, followed with her whipping her head to the side as she notices you
  13. >but as she does so, the cord comes loose from your stereo system and suddenly the music is blaring trough your speakers
  14. >Heartbeats mouth turns into a scrunch as she stares back at you while sitting still
  15. >She looks like a deer caught in headlights, her ears flat as she’s waiting to see how you’ll react to her going ahead and listening to your music collection without permission
  16. >You stare back at Heartbeat while the music plays
  17. >You know this song, it’s one of those catchy ones you have that makes you want to dance to it
  18. >You start moving your foot to the beat
  19. >Heartbeats eyes instantly focus on your foot pounding to the beat against the floor, and then she looks back at you as her ears perk back up
  20. >you’re moving your head to the beat as well now and grinning at her as the music arrives at a part where the chorus and the faster beat starts
  21. >And as it does you spring to life and start dancing to the music
  22. >Heartbeat looks at you with awe as you bust out your dancing skills and move around on the floor, and soon enough she’s smiling and cheering you on
  23. >You sign for her to join you and soon enough the two of you dance in the middle of your living room
  24. >Heartbeat’s moving from side to side to the beat as you amuse her with an epic dance move after another
  25. >As the music picks up again Heartbeat takes flight and you jump up from the split you did so the two of you can dance together, you hopping to the other side as Heartbeat flies to the opposite, and then switching around with each beat
  26. >It was a batty sort of an evening
  27.
  28.
  29. >You come home and the first thing you notice is the sound of little hooves stomping rapidly to the beat of upbeat music
  30. >Curious what might be happening with the only one who can be making those noises you glance into the living room
  31. >And there you have it, Heartbeat's playing stepmania in the middle of your living room, rapidly stomping on the gaming pad
  32. >She finishes a song and as the large A letter appears onto the screen she jumps up into flight and does an excited little cheer in the air before landing back down and browsing trough more songs
  33. "Having fun?"
  34. >Heartbeat pauses and turns to you while nodding excitedly
  35. >"Yeah! I'm beating all your scores!"
  36. >You chuckle a little
  37. "You know that was meant to be played on two legs instead of four, you're not exactly beating me"
  38. >Heartbeat tilts her head and then tries to stand on two hooves before falling down with an oof
  39. >"I can't do it on two"
  40. >Heartbeat climbs back up
  41. >"But it's not easier, it's more impressive to be able to do it with four instead of two!"
  42. >Heartbeat nods her head sternly and then pushes out her chest out like she just won a debate while sitting down proudly
  43. >"And I bet I can beat you on any song"
  44. >That get's you interested and you dig out another playing pad
  45. "How about we have a duel?"
  46. >Hearbeat jumps up
  47. >"Bring it on!"
  48. >You set up the pad and then as both of you are ready you get to selecting a song while Heartbeat stretches her hooves
  49. >You choose a devious song, one that starts up easy and slow and then suddenly jumps into absolute madness
  50. >Honestly it's a song where you can barely survive, but you're betting on Heartbeat failing the song since it's so hard
  51. >It's not like you're feeling a bit grumpy about her managing to beat all of your records, not at all, it's just because she did it with 4 hooves and thinks she's better than you
  52. >You choose the song and as it starts up you and Heartbeat exchange glances
  53. >She's giving you a smug look and then the music starts and both of you focus on the screen
  54. >The start is easy, both of you have no trouble hitting all the steps and you get a good combo going
  55. >But so does Heartbeat
  56. >But then, the madness starts
  57. >Hearbeat gasps as you grin and keep tapping the mat rapidly with your feet
  58. >there's a small pause and you quickly glance at Heartbeat's side of the screen, but to your surprise she's still alive
  59. >You look at her and find her with a look of absolute concentration on her face while her little hooves drum the pad rapidly
  60. >A sudden sound pulls your attention back to the game and to your surprise you find yourself almost dying, seems like you focuses a bit too much on Heartbeat
  61. >You rapidly try to save yourself while your feet scream at you in agony, but it's no use, you get the game over message
  62. >You sigh angrily and sit down on the pad while catching your breath
  63. >You look at Heartbeat and she's still going, her face in slight agony as a few beads of sweat fall from her face
  64. "You can stop now, I already lost"
  65. >Heartbeat just shakes her head quickly before hopping around to quickly slam the two arrow buttons behind her
  66. >Her tiny hooves are a flurry as she hangs on
  67. >She's not acing it but it is impressing
  68. >Soon enough the song ends and Heartbeat collapses onto her back, panting wildly with her hooves in the air
  69. >"I-I did it!"
  70. >The screen shows her result, she got a B
  71. >Wow, you've only gotten a C at best
  72. "That's amazing"
  73. >Heartbeat opens her eyes and smiles while catching her breath
  74. >"But now my hooves hurt..."
  75. >Heartbeat wiggles a little on the floor so her head turns towards you
  76. >"Carry me to the couch Anon"
  77. >Heartbeat extends her hooves towards you
  78. "Can't you just fly there?"
  79. >Heartbeat responds by giving you sad puppy eyes and waves her hooves a little n the air
  80. "Alright I get it"
  81. >Heartbeat squee's happily as you get up and pick her up into your arms before carrying her on to the couch
  82. >You set Heartbeat down and she smiles happily wile lying on her back and squirming a little to get comfortable
  83. >"Now bring me a blanket"
  84. >You raise an eyebrow
  85. "Are you planning on napping now?"
  86. >Heartbeat shakes her head
  87. >"No, but it's warmer under it"
  88. >You shrug and fetch her a blanket and leave her comfily lying under the blanket while you go and get started on doing your own daily things
  89.
  90.
  91. >You are staring at Heartbeat as she happily licks away at a large lollipop, stopping to playfully gnaw on it every now and then before resuming her licking
  92. >You’re not staring at her this much because you’re imagining something indecent, but because you’ve noticed something about her
  93. ”Heartbeat”
  94. >Heartbeat pauses mid-gnaw and turns her head to look at you with the lollipop still in her mouth
  95. ”I’ve noticed that you...”
  96. >Heartbeat removes the lollipop from her mouth and stares at you intensely, the curiosity to hear what you have to say apparent in how her ears stand up and point in your direction
  97. “You’ve got pudgier Heartbeat”
  98. >Heartbeat’s mouth falls open with a little gasp and the lollipop falls from her hooves to the floor
  99. >“Really?”
  100. >You nod and Heartbeats ears droop down
  101. ”It’s your fault, you’ve been eating way too much candy lately”
  102. >Heartbeat hangs her head sadly, her little wings joining into the overall droopiness, but then she suddenly lifts up her head, her ears and wing both perking back up
  103. >“Wait, isn’t it your fault since you always give me candy?”
  104. >You shake your head
  105. ”Even if you get candy you don’t need to eat it all right away”
  106. >Heartbeat tilts her head and looks at you like you grew a second head
  107. >“Yes I do”
  108. >You give Heartbeat an unamused look as she starts sulking and glaring at you
  109. >“It’s your fault I’m pudgy...”
  110. >You sigh as Heartbeats expression grows sulkier and her ears droop back down, as do her wings
  111. >“I don’t want to be pudgy...”
  112. >You sigh
  113. ”Don’t worry, I know how to fix it”
  114. >Heartbeat stops sulking and her ears perk back up
  115. >“...really?”
  116. >You nod and Heartbeat looks happy again
  117. ”Yes, you need to exercise and sweat a lot”
  118. >Heartbeat starts sulking again
  119. ”Or...”
  120. >She stops sulking again and waits for the other option
  121. ”Just stop eating so many sweets”
  122. >And she’s sulky once again, and collapses on the floor onto her tummy while looking grumpy
  123. ”It’s not that bad Heartbeat”
  124. >She’s not looking at you
  125. >“Yes it is”
  126. ”Even if it’s exercise, we can always turn it into a game like tag”
  127. >her grumpiness lessens
  128. >“That could be fun...”
  129. >You walk over to the sulky batfilly and lift her to stand up properly
  130. ”Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll have fun”
  131. >She looks like she’s not trusting you 100% on this, but her mood also appears to be visibly brightened
  132. >“I guess it could be fun”
  133. >You give her a smile
  134. ”That’s the spirit”
  135. >Heartbeat glances at the lollipop that she dropped on the floor and her ears droop a little, but she says nothing
  136. >You notice this, and decide to brighten her mood
  137. ”How about I give you another lollipop since that one fell on the floor?”
  138. >Heartbeat looks surprised but then smiles excitedly
  139. >“I can have another one?”
  140. >She’s practically wagging her tail and flapping her wings in excitement while waiting for your answer
  141. >You can’t help but to smile
  142. ”Sure you can”
  143. >Heartbeat lets out a happy eeeeeeeeee as you go to your kitchen and fetch another lollipop for her
  144. >Heartbeat flies after you and you hand her the lollipop
  145. >She gleefully accepts it and starts slowly flying back to your living room while gnawing at it
  146. >You can’t help but to feel happy as well at her excitement
  147. >...
  148. >...no wait
  149.
  150.
  151.
  152. >Another evening with Heartbeat relaxing in your lap as the two of you watch some human world cartoons you brought with you to Equestria
  153. >But since you've already seen the episodes yourself, you're not paying much attention to the tv screen
  154. >instead you stare at her ears
  155. >she moves them around while staying focused on the cartoon
  156. >You get an idea and touch her tuft
  157. >Heartbeat flicks her ear
  158. >you do it again and she moves her ear again
  159. >You should stop teasing her, you insert your hand into her mane for ruffles, but as you do Heartbeat quicky flies off from your lap
  160. >"Eeeeeee!"
  161. >Heartbeat turns to look at you while hovering in the air and hiding her head beneath her hooves
  162. "Did I do something bad? Sorry"
  163. >Heartbeat keeps looking at you with caution
  164. >"Your hands are cold..."
  165. >wondering if that's true, you place your hands upon your cheeks and suddenly it is like a couple of snowmen were raping your face
  166. "WHAT THE HELL THEY'RE LIKE THE COLD FINGERS OF DEATH!"
  167. >You detach your hands from your face and look at Heartbeat with shock
  168. "WHAT DO I DO?!"
  169. >Heartbeat looks around frantically before pointing towards your kitchen
  170. >"You have warm water there!"
  171. >You spetnaz off of your couch as Heartbeat follows you in a tactical position behind you as the two of you rush to the kitchen
  172. >You shoot for the kettle full of boiling water and Heartbeat shoots for the cupboard and throws you a large pot
  173. >You catch it while somersaulting and using your momentum you kick the kettle into the air, and just as planned the kettle sprays all of its water onto the pot
  174. >Heartbeat does a little cheer of success as you stab your hands into the water
  175. >and then you remember that the water was just recently boiled for your tea
  176. "AAAAAAAAAAAA"
  177. >You pull out your hands from the boiling water of death and scream at them
  178. "AAAAAAAAAAA"
  179. >You turn to look at Heartbeat and scream at her
  180. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
  181. >Heartbeat lands and gives you a sad look
  182. >"I forgot it was boiling water.."
  183. >aawww
  184. >You painfully dry off one of your seriously burned hands and give Heartbeat a little pat on the head
  185. "I can't be mad at you, you're just too cute"
  186. >Heartbeat blushes a little and smiles
  187. "Here, let me give you a lollipop you can eat while I bandage my arms"
  188. >Heartbeat takes flight and spins around in the air excitedly while you dig up a batpony lollipop for her
  189. "Now go back to watching the cartoon, it's getting to the exciting part now"
  190. >Heartbeat grabs the candy with glee and rushes back to your living room while you shake your head and laugh
  191. "Dump my hands into boiling water, what a goofball..."
  192.
  193.
  194. >Brushing Heartbeats mane while she sits in your lap
  195. >She asks you if she's a pretty filly
  196. >tell her she is
  197. >she gives you a big toothy grin and gives a cute little laugh while blushing a little
  198. >keep brushing her mane
  199. >She starts humming happily and moving a little from side to side
  200. >tell her she needs to stay still
  201. >she gives you the sad puppy eyes and asks if she can't move around even a little?
  202. >cave in and tell her she can
  203. >She smiles and gives your chest a very brief nuzzle with the top of her head before returning to moving around and humming happily
  204. >you can't help but to smile when she starts moving around even more and humming louder as her ears and wings join into the little dance by twitching to the tune
  205. >put the brush down and start drumming against your thighs
  206. >before you know it you and Heartbeat have turned the living room into a make-belief stage for your little performance
  207. >Heartbeat is holding the brush as a microphone and singing into it happily
  208. >You drum away against various household objects
  209. >it's a musical sort mane brushing session
  210.
  211.
  212. >You are lying on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket like you would be a burrito
  213. >for comfy and warm reasons
  214. >Heartbeat flies over you and wonders what you're doing
  215. >You tell her you're going to take a nap
  216. >she decides to join you and lands on top of you
  217. >you let her in into one of the folds of the blanket burrito
  218. >she cozies up on top of your chest and the two of you start napping together
  219. >her tufts tickle your face as she flicks her ears in her sleep
  220. >Her mane is all over your face
  221. >can't go to sleep because she's moving around and makes the burrito too warm with her bodily heat
  222. >doesn't matter had cuddles
