  6. Ellis's car, an aged Toyota Corolla pulls itself into the
  7. lot.

  10. INT. ELLIS'S CAR - NIGHT

  12. Ellis puts the car in park. He closes his eyes and sighs.

  15. Here we fucking go.

  17. Ellis steps out of his car.

  20. EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX - NIGHT

  22. Ellis steps out of his car and puts his hands in his pockets.

  24. He closes his eyes.

  27. Not today, not today, not today...

  29. Ellis walks toward his apartment.

  31. KAYLA (O.S.)
  32. Maybe you shouldn't have PTSD when
  33. someone gets shot, Ellis!

  35. Ellis kicks a rock into some grass.

  38. (mumbling)
  39. Someone got shot and it was someone

  42. He makes his way to his door that reads "138", takes out his
  43. keys, and opens the door.

  46. INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT

  48. Ellis's german shepherd, Sadie walks up to them with an
  49. excited look in their eyes. Sadie comes up and nuzzles
  50. Ellis's legs, and in return Ellis scratches her ears gently.

  52. ELLIS
  53. Good dog.

  55. Sadie walks off and lays down in her bed.
  56.  
  57. KAYLA, (23) sits there on their desktop.
  58.  
  59. They're an obvious male to female transgender. They wear a
  60. brown wig with their brown eyes and are about 5"8. A "First
  61. Armored Division" patch sits on the table. They wear a tanker
  62. jacket and their headset with a pair of jeans.

  65. Hey Ellis.

  67. ELLIS
  68. Hey.

  70. Ellis closes the door behind him and sighs.

  72. ELLIS (O.S.) (CONT’D)
  73. (thinking)
  74. Don't say anything, don't say
  75. anything...

  77. He props himself on the couch and turns on his PS4.

  79. KAYLA
  80. Playing with people from my unit.

  82. ELLIS
  83. Yeah, that's great.

  85. KAYLA
  86. (into headset)
  87. Yeah, it's just my neverserved
  88. roommate that got PTSD over a basic
  89. bitch gunshot wound don't worry
  90. about it.

  92. Ellis winces.

  94. His grip on the PS4 controller grows tighter.
  95.  
  96. Ellis takes a deep breath, smiles, and stands up. He steps
  97. out of the room and comes back out with a 9mm.

  99. He sticks up to the back of Kayla's skull and pulls the
  100. trigger. Blood and brain matter paints itself against the
  101. previous white wall.

  103. Ellis carries a look of satisfaction in his eyes.

  107. Ellis holds the controller in his hands and sighs. He starts
  108. up Ace Combat and looks down.
