[09:12] Asa glances back at the sudden wave of people, his pupils thin.

[09:12] Malibu says, "Oh, man. Would've been a crowded class."

[09:12] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Ha ! I was getting worried !"
[09:12] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Anyway, to the class room !"
[09:12] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "There will still be another class in 6 hours for those in standard schedules !"
[09:12] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Take care Alucard !"
[09:13] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Alright ! Everyone, take place !"
[09:13] Sonya Lange whispers something.
[09:13] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Since we are 4, you can take all the couches."
[09:14] Asa says, "..."
[09:14] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Also ! Mh. Small warning."
[09:14] Malibu says, "Ah, excuse me for a moment."
[09:14] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Yes?"
[09:14] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Oh right."
[09:14] Malibu says, "Sorry- Kind of uncomfortable after a while.."
[09:14] Svengalf Sandsker unties his cloak along with his armor, putting himself more casual.

[09:15] Sonya Lange keeps her unhealthy amount of viridium on.

[09:15] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Mh ! Also little warning."
[09:15] Asa 's ears perk up.
(Asa)
[09:15] Svengalf Sandsker says, "I haven't entirely prepared this class. Due to unfortunate events these last days."
[09:15] Svengalf Sandsker says, "So... that means it will be a liiiiittle slower than the first class."
[09:16] Svengalf Sandsker joins his hands together, bowing in apology.

[09:16] Svengalf Sandsker says, "I hope you understand."
[09:16] Hina Lam says, "That's okay, Sven! Take your time and do your best."
[09:16] Sonya Lange says, "That's... totally fine, yeah. "
[09:16] Hina Lam gives him a reassuring smile!
(Hina Lam)
[09:16] Svengalf Sandsker smiles, nodding.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:16] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Thank you kindly !"
[09:17] Asa doesn't seem to mind. He mumbles as such in a tone that's hard to hear. Not that he was there for the first class.
(Asa)
[09:17] Malibu exclaims, "That's fine! Don't worry!"
[09:20] The lapine claps his hands, smiling to the class.
The blackboard behind the lapine is filled with rolled up scrolls, all hung in line.

"As mentionned, welcome to this second medical class ! Today, we will be talking about injuries. Be it physical, or magical."

He picks up a book on the desk, opening it.

"But first ! I hope you have remembered and kept notes of your first class ! Since we have a new student, this will be also a good way to provide a little catch up."

He glances towards the students presents.

"First ! I would like to hear the 5 medical rules for doctoring. One rule by hand risen, so everyone can have the chance to speak !"

He smiles, awaiting for the answers.

[09:21] Svengalf Sandsker says, "And to simplify, we will go in order that I have mentionned. So the first hand risen will talk about the first rule, and so on."
[09:22] Sonya Lange raises her hand third.
(Sonya Lange)
[09:22] Asa produces a small leatherbound notebook. The mere mention of his existance makes him shrink back a little despite Svengalf's friendliness

[09:23] The panting Kitsune follows in tow, seating herself promptly on a cushion at the front of Svengalf's class. If it wasn't obvious to tell, Hina's disposition was lighthearted to Sven's situation, understanding, and held an excited demeanor.

She scrutinizes the front of the room, nodding at the mention of the second class, and opts to remove her medical notes from her bag with a writing utensil thereafter.

Setting them on the desk just as Sven finishes his last sentence, the little Kitsune teenager is swift to raise her hand in the air to answer one of the rules about medicine!

[09:28] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Yes Hina ?"
[09:28] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "What is the first rule ?"
[09:28] Hina Lam says, "The first rule of medicine is to not harm your patient and avoid any extra harm to their injury if possible."
[09:29] Svengalf Sandsker nods.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:29] Malibu dumps her trusty ripped papers on the table. You were going to get a proper book, idiot! Have some shame! After a little organization during the speech, she raises her hand for the question.

"Consider the patient dear to you..?"
(Malibu)
[09:29] Svengalf Sandsker nods towards Malibu.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:29] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Correct ! "
[09:29] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "And yes, Sonya?"
[09:29] Malibu clamps her fist in victory!
(Malibu)
[09:31] Sonya replays her sound-mnemonic through her head, aiding in recall of the previous lesson.

"Mm... Three, to give a regimen after you treat somebody to help them recover better and to improve their situation."

[09:31] Malibu silently claps

[09:31] Svengalf Sandsker nods once again, smiling.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:31] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Good ! Now, who will take the fourth and fifth ?"
[09:32] Malibu looks around nervously, someone OUGHTA raise their hand!!
(Malibu)
[09:32] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Yes Malibu ?"
[09:32] Malibu asks, "HUH?"
[09:32] Malibu says, "Ah- Uh..."
[09:33] Malibu says, "Don't take on a patient you can't handle.."
[09:33] Svengalf Sandsker snickers, suprise interrogation !

[09:33] Malibu asks, "..Right?"
[09:33] Asa's shoulders seem to relax a little with the rote motions of writing, stopping to smile just a little at that second rule.
(Asa)
[09:33] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Mmmmmh."
[09:33] Svengalf Sandsker squints, holding the suspense.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:33] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "... Correct !"
[09:34] Malibu is losing years off her life by the second
(Malibu)
[09:34] Malibu lets out a sigh of relief
(Malibu)
[09:34] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "And the fifth one ?"
[09:34] Malibu says, "Ah- Uh.."
[09:34] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Anyone else than Malibu ?"
[09:34] Svengalf Sandsker looks over Sonya and Hina.

[09:35] Malibu asks, "Be respectful of their body.. or something.. right?"
[09:35] Hina Lam says, "The fifth one is to respect the secrecy of your patient."
[09:35] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Correct !"
[09:36] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Asa, don't forget to take notes about it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them to me, or to your colleagues later."
[09:37] The fox was indeed, taking notes. He looks up with a demure, "Yes."

[09:40] The lapine smiles once everyone has answered to the rules. He flicks one page of the book.

"Now that the rules are reminded, let's also talk about the anatomies we have mentionned !
Normally this would be an open question for any student to take. But this time…"

He looks towards the trio of students who attended last class.

"I will simply ask just a quick sumary of each anatomies. No need to go in details, but simply get over the essentials !

Hina, you will present the biological anatomy.

Malibu, you will present the magical circuits.

Sonya, you will present the soul and the essence.

Once prepared, please stand up, and do your quick presentation !"

He smiles, as he sits on the desk, watching the students.

[09:41] Sonya Lange nods.
(Sonya Lange)
[09:47] Sonya runs some more memory-charged melodies through her head and consults a few taken notes before standing up.

"Mm... Souls are our source of life, and they're protected by a divine barrier so only really rare magic or divine power can touch it."

The drakanite produces a small orb of pulsing light.

"Then, there's uh... essence around it, that's more 'the current us'. It goes between our magic circuit and our soul, and it's a bit more touchable by... holy, faith, and occult magic. Some parts of the circuit connect to it and those are the most important bits. It recovers eventually on its own, but there are also ways to soothe it."

She cloaks the orb in a mélange of light, shadow, and sound magic to represent her own essence.

[09:50] The lapine turns his attention towards Sonya, listening.

He smiles, when she displays her own magic to even represent a metaphor of the schematic shown.

"Good summary ! Thank you. You can resume your place."

His attention turns towards the two other students, waiting.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[09:51] Asa watches the display intently. A rough sketch being made of the orb with lables and a smattering of tangential thoughts in the margins of the page.
(Asa)
[09:52] Hina's index finger tapped lightly against her chin, contemplating the rules - she remembered the basics, though some of the longer details were escaping her some!

Luckily, the two rules she did mention were ones remembered well.

Her notes are procured from her little book then - She had to present the biological anatomy to the small class. The Kitsune choked back a little; she wasn't good at this sort of thing and looked nervous immediately, though Hina nods her head.

Whether the girl needed to stand or not wasn't mentioned, but she'll stand anyways and turn towards the class.

"Biological anatomy has to do with the physical form of the body. Your skeleton, your muscles, and blood vessels.

Our body is a shell that we live in, in our material world. Without it, we would not physically be here - like spirits." The girl nods.

"Our bodies have a lot of functioning organs in it that are important, like the brain and our hearts." With that, the girl awkwardly seats herself back down!
(Hina Lam)
[09:52] Malibu jolts up! Which causes her papers to flutter around a bit, making her fix them before standing upright again for her presentation.

"Now... like our nervous system, we also have magical circuits that flow through our body, these practically allow us to do the things we do ever so casually. Like summon a bomb under our fingertips or just.. make a tree appear out of thin air."

Hey, this is not so bad! It's no different than having little sound magic theories with Sonya, right?

"We have three convergence points, one is in our throat.. one in our head and one in our chest... These are basically the main components in our bodies that help us cast spells."

"I think.. this is a little extra but might as well..."

"While the throat is for using our voice for casting, the one in the head is for... uh... rune..casting? Ah- and the chest one is casting through emotions... And there's one where you use all three in order to use.. visionary casting.. I think."

Her memory slowly failing, she struggles to continue her presentation.. Too bad, it was going so well too.

[09:59] The lapine turns towards Hina, listening to her explainations. There is a satisfied smile as he nods.

"Great answer Hina. Again for learning about all the details towards biological anatomy, there are many books covering it written by non-magi available. You've done a great introduction summary, Hina."

Turning his attention back to Malibu, he listens. There is a nod after first paragraph, still listening in silence.
In the end, he smiles, nodding.

"Correct. For visionnary casting, do not forget that is set in the eyes, as you it helps you visualize your own circuits and use these images to cast such. But overall, it's a good answer !"

He claps, then watches over everyone.

"Now ! Any question before we proceed on the injuries?"

[09:59] Malibu clamps her fist in victory, phew!
(Malibu)
[09:59] Malibu says, "I don't have any."
[10:01] Sonya Lange says, "Um... I met someone who had something called..."
[10:01] Sonya Lange asks, "Barrier magic. Is that related to the soul barrier?"
[10:01] Hina Lam sighs with relief! She was glad she had that little knowledge of anatomy without the book she wanted to get, one of those days!
(Hina Lam)
[10:02] Asa continues with the notes, and the accompanying sketches. The biological matter and the existence of magical circuits he knew of, but the convergence points were something he was more ignorant about. Upon reaching that bit of information, the fox would dig through his back for another notebook, flipping the pages past what appears to be detailed dissections of common monsters, a boar, and finally, a medical cadaver. At least, one would hope that it was a sanctioned medical cadaver. Lines were drawn to the heart, throat, head, and eyes.

The fox slowly raises his hand, still scratching away with his other.

"Yes," he said, voice suddenly level now that he was focusing on the work rather than anyone's face.

Though his voice was still just a hair above a whisper, and he'd wait for the other questions to be answered.
(Asa)
[10:02] Hina Lam asks, "I.. have a question about a type of injury.. It was something of a demon's doing; one that attacked Aphros not long ago. I think that was the same demon that hurt my friend. Uh.. How do you work with.. mental injuries? Or.. Something deep within that isn't really.. there?"
[10:03] Hina Lam had no idea how to word her question about the particular injury that a demon had given to her friend, Eivor. She looked awkward and slightly confused about how to explain it!
(Hina Lam)
[10:09] The lapine looks towards Sonya, considering her question. He then nods.

"It has been a loooong time I haven't seen a magi exercing barrier magic. It is indeed a form of magic about conjuring protections. I am not sure if it interracts with the soul's barrier. But if we tell that Holy represents that intense feeling to protect, then Barrier magic would be something physically greater too.
I would have to read some books about it one day."

His attention turns towards Hina. A pained smile when she mentions such attack at Aphros. His voice softens.

"Since we are on the subject of demons, I would suspect this is of magical nature. In which we will cover it eventually today. Don't worry."

And now, his attention returns towards Asa. He squints, approaching closer to get a better listen while his ears perk up.
"Sorry, I couldn't hear. May you repeat, please?"
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[10:10] Hina Lam nods her head. The pain smile Sven had was reflected on her own features. To know this particular subject was important to the Kitsune in case a similar situation would ever happen to her friend again.
(Hina Lam)
[10:12] Asa gently pulls at on of his ears. "On the topic of magic circuitry: is there a standard level of deviation between one person's pathways and the next? If so, are the differences greater between those of different species?"
(Asa)
[10:13] Asa says, "Oh... people close to you were hurt? I'm sorry..."
[10:14] Hina Lam says, "It's alright. He is much better now. The injury was done by a demon."
[10:15] Asa nods softly. Still, there was sympathy in his eyes.
(Asa)
[10:22] The lapine nods towards Asa.

"So ! About magical circuits. As you may notice, not everyone is mana-gifted. When someone is not attuned to mana at all, the magical circuits remain dormant. It's only when it becomes attuned that it awakes.

And yes, there are some slight déviations. In average, we have 3100 lines in our magical circuits ! But some may have more or less. But even then, when you cast like a simple spell like a spray of water, that's already 100 lines in activity.

As for different species of humanity… There are indeed some variations."

He looks towards all the beastkin present. How convenient.
"Perhaps some may know, but when humanity was created during the war against Moros, we have been developed to be susceptible to divine magic. Nephilims may be the most obvious reference of them, as they are directly blessed by a Divine, like a Primordial of the Pantheon.

Beastkins received their blessings from powerfullSpirits, like Asena and Saekanis for the Ookamis. Or Jiuweihu for the Kitsunes. These elemental spirits have altered our circuits to be a little closer to some specific elements.

Drakanites received their blessings from the dragons, in which they can express their features through their ether.

And in the end, Humans are the most adaptable of these species and are the most susceptible to such divine blessings altering us.

[10:26] Hina Lam listens to the explanation given to Sven about the nature of humanity and how some particular races were blessed. Though, the little one does perk up at the mention of Jiuweihu and the Kitsune. It's obvious that the subject always made her happy, truly - any particular blessings of certain peoples made her thrilled to learn about.
(Hina Lam)
[10:27] Time was taken to check and recheck his notes. His writing utensil, a minor piece of artifice that wrote in different colors tapped against one word or another. "Yes, it does. Thank you very much."
(Asa)
[10:30] The lapine smiles and claps his hands together with held in between some fingers.

"Good ! Now, let us proceed !"

He turns towards the blackboard, still holding the book.

"Now, I must warn you. Behind these scrolls, there will be some schematics drawn for physical injuries. At least, an imitiation made with ink. So better prepare yourselves to have the guts for such, alright ?"

He flicks one page, awaiting for the class's approval.

[10:31] Sonya Lange says, "Um, I've... seen a lot of injuries already, I'll be fine I think."
[10:31] Malibu says, "Really? Whoa.."
[10:31] Malibu says, "Ah- I'll be fine.."
[10:31] Asa says, "Well prepared here, worry not."
[10:31] Hina Lam has had her fair share of injuries, thanks to Eivor and Acero! How bad could what she's about to see be?

[10:32] Svengalf Sandsker nods.

[10:32] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Onward !"
[10:41] Sonya Lange turns.
(Sonya Lange)
[10:52] The lapine nods, as he unseals one of the scrolls. It reveals the drawing of a leg with a scrapped knee. The ink used to draw displays the scrap to be covered in blood too.
Next to the leg drawn, there is an arm having 3 lines of lacerations along the length. There is blood dropping from it.

"We start then with the most common form of physical injuries : Abrasions, cuts, and lacerations. Abrasions are pretty simple, it's physical damage done on the surface of the skin. In this ase, this knee is a child who fell and slided on gravel, which scrapped the skin like this. Not really worrying, but mostly painfull.

As for the arm there, this a wolf's claw that caused a laceration. Lacerations and cuts are deeper than the surface of the skin, reaching the flesh below. These can be deadly if they hit a vital organ, or even a vein or artery. Cuts are usually cleaner, like done by a blade. A laceration is a tear."


He nods, and proceeds to the next scroll.
It reveals the drawing of a masculine chest with a bleeding thin opening. Unlike the slashes, around the wound the skin is colored in a hue of purple and blue.
Upper in the chest, there are two small circular bleeding holes.
"On this scroll, we have a puncture and a piercing wound. Similar to cuts and lacerations, but these are vertical and deeper. On the upper chest, you can see a snake's bite. While below, this is a dagger stab in the guts. Speaking of which."
He circles the purple-blueish hue around the dagger stab.
"When you see the skin like this, it is a bruise. Generally, a bruise represents a form of internal bleeding. Piercing wounds can be lethal too if they hit a vital organ."

His attention then turns towards the footsteps, flipping over as he tells : "Oh ? Someone is quite late to atten-".
And brutally, he freezes to discover the figure standing. Shocked and surprised. It takes a while, before heshifts his lips into a smile, as he rushes to her direction.
"Tristinia ! Life be blessed... What a surprise !"
His eyes shine in wetness, as he stops in front of her to notice the charred skin. He looks a bit concerned and relieved at the same time. He stretches his arms, attempting to offer her a hug.
"It's good to see you again... I wanted to visit you after the class... but it seems like this time, you are the world falling on me, haha !"

A visible, tearfull bliss carries him.

[10:56] The woman who comes in leans heavily on her staff. She looks more than a little injured, covered in bandages nearly head to toe. However, there's enough of her visible to discern that it is, indeed, Tristinia. She chuckles weakly at the man, and then leans forward, offering him a light hug.

"Don't let me interrupt the lesson, Svengalf. These people should know more about what it means to be a medic." She offers up to him. "In fact... I'll be wanting to talk to you about learning, myself. But... I figured, if you wanted to use my recent wounds for any sort of 'hands on lesson', I should make myself known."

She looks to everyone else, and nods, before speaking in a professional tone.

"Good Afternoon. I'm Tristinia, and I am currently suffering from a deep puncture wound, in my side, coming from a large blade." What about her burns? Well... Those were a lot older...

[10:58] Sonya Lange says, "Tristinia..."
[10:58] Asa's tail wags a bit at the tearful reunion, but he also averts his eyes from the public display of affection (the burns and the prospect of viewing an actively recovering injury didn't seem to bother him at all by comparison). The greeting was returned with a soft, "Hello," though little more.
(Asa)
[11:04] Malibu starts noting the lesson by burying her face into her papers. Until the unknown visitor's footsteps are heard.

She turns around expecting Regalus' dumbass late again only to- Ah! Oh no!

She buries her face into her papers again... only to turn back and give a little wave with a smile, slowly losing the smile as she notices the... differences... and turns to her unorganized paper hell with a worried face.

[11:08] The first scroll is revealed, show casing a scraped knee with blood on the injury. Nothing Hina hadn't seen before. The Kitsune has deal with those before in her much younger youth!

Next, blue eyes glimpse at the lacerations on the arm - the very photo next to the basic, scraped knee. Hina scrutinizes it while listening to the explanation.

Abrasions, cuts, and lacerations.

Sven's explanation follows is reasonable for the injury of the scraped knee, as well as the lacerations on the arm.

Abrasions weren't too terrible compared to lacerations and cuts of the skin. The Kitusne recalls the injury she'd received from Acero all those months ago, recalling the salve that Sven had utilized on her skin to lesson the burning sensation that marked her little frame.

She writes down the notes as he goes on, and the girl's ears perk up when the next scroll is drawn down to reveal the contents.

This one was a slash, discolored in appearance, the girl takes in note of the bites and gash.

Slashes and bruises. It made sense, truly. Again, the little teen writes down those notes, trying to mimic the drawing with her writing utensil to mark the specific injuries. Two holes near the word 'bites,' and a pierced wound next to 'gash.'

And then those following words are abruptly halted, causing Hina to glance up towards Sven. The surprised mien on his visage prompts the girl to immediately turn in her seat towards the one who'd been captured in Aphros some time ago.

Tristinia. Hina hadn't the knowledge of who she truly was, but only knew that she had been captured by the same demonic figure that harmed Eivor, and to that, the girl made a vague sort of connection to Tristinia.

A tear to be shed, her person didn't appear in good shape. Bandages from head to toe.

"We should help her first, Sven, those look really serious.." The Kitsune's words trail off. She had this desire to help the woman, even if Hina didn't know her well. "We don't want to wait in case infections might occur, right?"
(Hina Lam)
[11:13] The lapine gladly shares the hug back, holding for a bit as tears pearl his cheeks. Taping her back, he carefully releases her, wiping his tears with his wrist.
"True. I am sorry, it was emotional and not emotional from me. But it came right from the heart, dear friend ! And do not worry, they are wonderfull, selfless and kind-hearted students. And likely they will understand. After all, can someone remind the second rule of medecine ?"
He chuckles, as he glances towards the class amused as he controls his tears.

"And no worries Tristina. If you want, there is still a catch up class for the students in standard schedules in around 4 hours. You can join the catch up class later to hear a reminder of the first class too."

And hearing her, he looks at her side, shocked. As Hina reacts, he turns back to her, nodding.
"Mh. Alright. Right as we cover the stabbing wounds, how convenient.
Really. When I mean that today you are the world is falling down on me, you truly come in the right time at least.".
A little whisper at the end, as he tries to offer a soft smile towards Tristinia, as he points the stool in front of the desk.
"Alright, take a sit on the stool. We will do a live demonstration exceptionnally."

[11:15] The fox holds his cheek in his palm, barely speaking above a murmur. "Consider the patient dear to you... right?"
(Asa)
[11:15] Svengalf Sandsker nods towards Asa.
(Svengalf Sandsker)
[11:16] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Correct ! And Tristinia here present is a dear friend of mine too."
[11:16] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Empathy and kindness are important to assist your patients."
[11:22] She moves over towards the desk, hopping up onto the stool with a soft sigh. Despite her various burns, these all looked... Old. However, one unusual thing was clearly there about her. Within all her burns were the signs of embers still burning. Golden flames flickering occasionally within her body. It was as if she was eternally on fire, something trying to consume her from the inside out. It was, for now, being held at bay. However, as she tugs off parts of her mythril plating, and shows her side, showing a garish wound from a large blade.

Once more, those flames were there, flickering, though these seemed more active, as if something in Tristinia was actively fighting at the wound. Keeping her from bleeding, keeping her from succumbing to the blow. However... Occult power was also clearly there inside the blow, and something would occasionally leech at her flames.

"One thing you'll likely notice with many magi is that we are, in general, tougher than the average human. And depending on our magics, our bodies will naturally try and stabilize us so that we can keep going, despite wounds that would normally otherwise kill a non-magi. This here is a wound from Na'Ria, the Imperfect. I was stabbed with their kaorblade. Being a practitioner of Holyfire, my flames instinctively try to heal the wound, and to keep me from bleeding out. However, there is other forces at work beyond just a physical wound here that make it so that I can't heal this on my own with time."

She gestures, then, at her burns.

"Meanwhile, these, as I know you're all alarmed by them... Are the result of old injuries from Lyseroth. It's an ailment that is long-lasting and is something that common medicine could only help me keep at bay, rather than heal from. Today, we're focusing on the stab wound, rather than the burns."

[11:41] The lapine looks in the shelves, taking some white cloth gloves and a white mask that he wears. He picks up also a little box locked. Some aritificers may know what it is : a trauma kit. He prepares the Tools needed as he observes the wounds and listens to Tristinia's explainations.
There is a proud smile on his lips as he repeats some of the subject talked in the previous class about the anatomy, while also presenting her case.

He nods, as she finishes her explaination.

"Normally, treating wounds would be talked on the third lesson. So here is a first peek.

Rule 0 : Usually, unless you have a specific oath or condition, you must preserve your own safety before intervening on the field. Because what is worse than one disabled injured on the field ? Two injured. So ensure you are safe, along with the patient too.

Rule 1 : Ensure your patient is conscious and alive."

He turns towards Tristinia. A short glance.

"Inour case, Tristinia is conscious and still breathing. Be sure to catch your patient's attention to show your presence, or call them. If they don't respond, ensure that they are still breathing by feeling their breath close to the nose, or listen to their heartbeats through the chest or the wrist. A patient conscious can be helpfull to explain their situation, while also showing a proof of stability...

...which comes the second rule : Stabilize your patient.
To prevent the wound to worsen, administer any first aid possible. Prevent the bleeding, cover the wounds, use magic to counteract curses, and so on. This will help preparing the future operation if needed."

He looks towards the stabbing wound. There is a little wince : this wound was more than a simple stab after all.
"As Tristinia mentionned, her own magic managed to clot the bleeding to stabilize her. But she is still not in the process of recovering yet.

Also, I forgot to mention. When examining someone, be sure to check for physical injuries, but also magical ones. And to do so, remember when I have mentionned visionnary casting ?"

He closes his eyes, lifting one palm towards Tristinia's forehead, close to the temple. There is subtle ethereal glow around the palm, a proof of mana activity in this action.
"By placing your hand in a point of convergence like the temple, closing your eyes, and injecting a bit of your mana into your patient's circuits, you can visualize them internally."
There is a drop of sweat as he keeps ausculting her, as his neck tenses.
He removes his hand, shaking it violently with a little yelp. He rubs his hands, as he continues :

"Once you have these ready done, you are ready to intervene. Any questions before ?"

[11:42] Sonya is evidently very concerned, but remembers the rule to leave it to the most competent medic. She distracts herself by quickly jotting down some notes on the injury, not asking any questions for the time being.

[11:45] Asa gained just a smidgeon of self-confidence at his ability to recall, and Svengalf’s chipper encouraged enthusiasm. Just a smidgeon!

As for Tristana’s display? He was more interested in the details of her injuries than alarmed. He leaned forward slightly in his seat as several lines of speculation on the potential permanent treatment of the burns rather than the stab wound ran through his head. Just one of which being the slow removal of the afflicted tissue to be replaced somehow.

Despite this, there was an overarching sense of empathy behind the academic considerations. Unnecessary pain was the enemy. For someone that appeared to be loved, and returned that love to those they held dear? A complete recovery would be something they were owed in a sense, for being the best kind of person.

The sound of distress Svengalf makes has him look up from his note taking, his ears pulled back.

[11:47] Malibu watches the demonstration while holding back tears, her eyes constantly go between the safety of the messy table and the wound. Her hand barely seems to move to take any note.

Make sure you're safe... easy enough.
Ensure patient is alive. No shit, right? Remember not to cry.
Stabilize patient. And revitalize the pudding market...
Touch forehead and.. magic...

Malibu scratches her head as she slowly loses focus while taking notes. She shakes her head to the question.

Hina observes closely, spectating the flickering of flame surrounding the woman's flesh once it's revealed. Her prowess worked against the forces of demonic magics, which the Kitsune felt was truly admirable.

She had not known the extent of what Skarnfel had done to this woman, and the little Jiuweihu child felt back every bit of instinct to want to stand up and somehow assist her, to soothe the pains she could be in from the injuries, and make her forget they had happened.

But, situations like this - without pain, what kind of existence would we live in? It brought her back to Sinesis' discussion with the girl, and she knew there would never be a perfect place, a dreamscape, where pain didn't exist, where society was perfect in a way.

Hina draws in a deep breath and continues spectating. Another tear is shed, and wiped away - she couldn't imagine the extent of those injuries andwhat pain and torture Tristinia had gone through.

And then Sven speaks out each rule on the conditions of treating someone. The Kitsune opts to write them all down as quickly as possible, occasionally glancing up towards the ongoing medical scenario.

She was previewing Sven's prowess seeping into Tristinia's, checking her circuits to visualize the extent of damage.

His own reaction prompts one similar for the Kitsune; she's very remorseful towards the situation, as shown on her visage - Hina was very full of expressions and intense emotional feelings. She had no questions, and thus shakes her head, allowing him to proceed.

[12:14] The lapine refocuses back on the stabbing wound. Like the second scroll, it looked similar as she mentionned it was done through a large blade.
At least, the lapine can notice that it didn't reach this deep, superficial, in definition of a puncture at this point.

The lapine's eyes shortly glow in blue as he peeks the mana behind the wound, concerning.
He returns towards the trauma kit, unlocking it.
"Usually, magi can recover on their own most of wounds, as we are more resilient like Tristinia said. And not only that, but the holy fire helped the wound to clot.
But even then, magic has its limits, specially when there are circuits damaged or the lack of proper regeneration methods. In that case : the Holy fire stored within her circuits and essence sure has cauterized the internal bleeding from the stab. But the surface will have to be intervened upon.

As the internal force that Tristinia mentionned… I will do a quick schematic."

His eyes glow blue again from the jade irises. Teal colored magic appears in his hands, as he weaves thin crystalline lines like a spider spinning its web. This web grows and expands, floating in the room. For those who have attended the first class, it starts to look familiar : it's a representation towards the internal circuits in the lower chest, down to the waist.
The crystalline lines glow in a pale yellow color, like holy mana. But on the spot where the stab is supposed to be localized, there is a knot of crystals with a twilight looking color, mixture of orange, brimstone red and purple : the colors of occult.

"This is the situation of Tristinia's circuits, simpliefied around the stab. The knot you see there, it's a magical injury. People call them afflictions, I call them curses, it's up to you which name you want to use.
Considering occult mana has a tendency for consuming and destructive properties, it would be wise to treat thisfirst. Fortunately, Holy mana is al
Altough, have you noticed the lines being yellow instead of the usual blue ? That's because of the holy attunement affecting the essence. Because of this, the whole circuits change its colors and adopt the properties of Holy magic. This is why I have mentionned that Holy and Occult magic are the rare elements that affect the essence and other mana, like holy fire. Because even if you are attuned to... fire only let's say, you can still weave raw pale blue ether."

He reaches for the trauma kit, taking some crystals.
"These are inhibition crystals that can help clogging mana circuits. With a bit of runewriting, you can reprogram these to filter some specific mana too.

Any questions before I start the procedure?", as he asks with his eyes dims back to jade irises.

[12:16] Sonya Lange says, "Um... I don't know much about runes and such. Should I... try to learn that stuff? I think there are some books in the library..."
[12:17] Svengalf Sandsker says, "It could be usefull yes."

[12:17] Svengalf Sandsker says, "But artificering with runewriting, as a last ressort and with proper mastery, you can write runes that can cover elements that you don't control. Certainly, on a minor scale, but better than nothing."

[12:20] "In general, we artificers when we make medical kits will include several of these crystals and other things with it. We include a basic instruction set with the kit to how to 'attune' these things... Even if you're not an artificer, if you get a kit 'store bought' rather than tailored to the situation, there should be something in it for every affliction you come up to, short of truly exotic afflictions." She explains.

She gestures at her wound a moment later.

"Occult mana, and mana absorption, are hindering the healing of the physical wound. There's a deeper wound upon my soul, but that sort of wound requires powers and abilities that are... Not something the average medic will have. I'll have to speak with someone specific later about that, but luckily, I already have arranged for such." She explains.

[12:24] Her writing halts as the Kitsune glances up, watching as Sven's eyes turn a shade of pale blue when scanning Tristinia's circuits. That is when Hina straightens herself in her cushion to pay full attention to what is transpiring before the class.

Idly watching as a display of the circuits are painted amid the air through crystalline magics, Hina can't help but to seem in awe at the visualization of Tristinia's circuits, colorized in a golden hue rather than the usual blue due to the nature of her own magics. Holy.

The teenager's eyes light up at the visuals, keeping fully attentive to the display, eyes focusing back and forth of the actions between her, Sven, and the trauma kit.

Hina had a lot of questions that regarded runewriting, his ability to closely inspect mana circuits, and the like, though the girl was silent despite her needing to ask. Instead, the Kitsune writes those questions down on her paper to ask for later!

[12:26] Getting a positive answer for her question, Malibu feels slightly less sluggish and gets back to actually being a part of the class.

Just... Focus on the wound.

She notes the terms she considers important... runewriting.. is mentioned about... a thousand times in a class? Occult and mana absorption... every wound caused by magic is a different case of its own on the patient... How will you reciprocate with only sound magic?

Malibu scratches her head again.. It just hurts to scratch the same spot at this point.

She shakes her head to the question. Only smart people ask questions, this one here isn't one.

[12:58] The lapine nods towards Tristinia, smiling, and relieved. He adds :
"Usually in shops, you can find to kinds of kits. The basics and the enhanced. The basics employs components assembled with orichalcum, a decent good mana conductor. Mythril, a lightweight metal sturdier than iron to prepare prothesthics. And copper wires to assemble it together.

The enhanced version contains components assembled with arcanium. Not only it is a very good conductor of magic, but arcanium also ''adapts'' to the mana around it. Which makes the surgical components to be less intrusive than orichalcum as the metal adapts to the circuits.

Eventually… I will try to invent a better version of it. But this is only one idea for now."

He chuckles, as he takes from a cupboard a jar.

"First rule of medecine : Do no harm. And since we are going to implant those crystals, surgical intervention is required. And for that, we will have to find a wayto relieve the pain and numb the body to it : Lax essence ! One of the very basic alchemical conceptions someone learns in their early years. You clean the wound first, you scoop it, and Apply it directly on the skin. It smells bad... but it's better than feeling a blade opening you."

Taking a bottle of clear liquid from a shelf and some rags, he dampens the cloth with distilled clear water and rubs around the wound to remove any detritus. Then, opening the jar's lid, he scoops said produce, before spreading it around the wound. Unsure if Tristinia's burns already make it numb to the pain... but it's for the sake of the example at least.

"Now you take your nearby surgical tools." He pulls from a drawer to take a plate of said tools : Scalpels, forceps , retractors, clamps, even a surgical saw, and many others. He takes another bottle, and dampen a new set of rags. This time, it smells like alcohol.
"Ensure your tools are clean too. Pure alcohol helps killing the germs. Clean water and neutral soap also helps if the alcohol burns too much the skin. When cleaning a wound, do not do it directly, just around it. But if you have to disinfect internally, hydrogen peroxide does the trick."

He smiles. He takes some retractors and clamps, as his eyes glow blue again.
"Normally, when we are doing surgery on the circuits, you must ideally keep in sight the circuits. For example having one hand held on a convergence node, or by marking what you see directly on the skin with some ink. This is to have some references to see where are the circuits as you operate on them.
You could also have a partner, that does the visualisation of the circuits, and transfer what they see back to you.
Or, when you have years of practice like me and with enough experience and diversity of patients, your sight may adapt to see someone's circuits without even touching them."

He chuckles behind his mask, as he leans to retract the numbed skin carefully. Using some clamps, he maintains the wound open. He takes some clean rags, and hold it around the wound to sponge the potential blood dripping out.

Focusing back on the crystals, he takes a bunch in his hands. Closing his eyes, both of his hands glow in teal mana. The other hand reaches to touch around the wound. The glow strengthens, as a crystal painlessly grows on her skin : it was in a pale and yellow hue, filled with her holy mana. He places this crystal back with the bunch of inhibiting crystals, as he focuses in his mind.

"Life. Holy. Fire. Renewal. Necessity. Filter. Funneling.", he whispered, as the inhiting crystals glow in different lines : runes and glyphs being engraved.
The instructions given upon these runes would be acting like a one way filter, for the Lifeforce and her Holyfire attunements to pass through the crystals if it needs push away the occult curse laid inside. While the occult mana would be inhibited if it attempts to spread further in the circuits.

The runewriting being done, he takes some pinches, along with some orichalcum and copper coils close to him. Carefully, he places the runewritten inhibitting crystals in the key nodes circling the curse to physically seal it inside. He wires it together, to connect back to her circuits. The implant being operationnal and activating in the contact of her mana. He removes the clamp, letting the wound close over the implant.
He smiles, satisfied to see the activity through his magical gaze.
Taking now a needle and some surgical thread, he returns to the class.

"And now, to close the wound. There are multiple ways. For rashes and simple cuts, you can cover it with bandages, or even cauterize it with heat. For larger cuts and openings, you can use sutures instead. It's like sewing, you intend to join both sides together through some thread. This will help the flesh and the skin to coagulate and clot together. And once properly scared, you can cut the threads and be done with."

[12:58] He executes as he says. Putting the thread inside the needle, as carefully weaving the flesh. Carefully tying both ends together. And finally, the wound entirely closes. Only time will be left for the flesh to close again properly.

He leaves a little sigh, wiping some sweat on the forehead with the wrist. His eyes return to jade irises, and he gathers the soiled to clean.

"How are you feeling Tristinia ? And class, any questions?"

[13:06] It's a bit strange to have her wound tended to with an audience. Throughout the process, though, she's compliant. Occasionally giving feedback on what she feels or other things, but it's almost as if she's done this before...

And given the amount of Arcanium in her body at this point? She's definitely had this sort of surgery a lot.

"Mmm... You're doing good." She assures him, taking a few second. The runes help with the process, and the implants are less obtrusive. The overall wound is still going to be a black mark upon her form, the powerful mana of an Imperfect demon unable to be entirely suppressed, after all.

"I think... It'll need to be gone over, later, with arcanium once I have procured some. But this is great."

"Eventually, if you would like, I could assist with it. I could not find some arcanium kits here anyway. And, if I had one… this Classroom wouldn't be ideal for the idea I want to do."

[13:10] Sonya quickly writes a flurry of notes on the treatment as it's progressing, focused on how best she could help people. With the current situation in Aphros, a kaorblade injury might be something she'd see again.

Alchemical concoctions, surgical implantation of crystals... Detailed notes, especially on the magic chosen for such a thing.

She speaks up after it's over.

"Next is the... regimen recommendation, right?"

[13:16] As soon as the medical kit came out, he drew comparisons between the one provided for the treatment and his family's- or rather, his design. Always seeking benchmarks and possible improvements, though without an opportunity to take it apart himself that end of the care wasn't as valuable as the application itself.

Even more valuable was Svengalf's gentle manner, it was inspiring. Heartwarming. And seeing Tristinia getting the care she needed satisfied the fox's need for something right to happen before his eyes.

Asa blinks down at his notebook, he'd written down some of his more emotional sentiments down. Embarrassing, but he wouldn't scratch them out.

He raised his hand, "Are there any texts on proper suture techniques available for purchase or load in the institute, I'm still struggling."

[13:17] Deep breaths... Deep breaths... Malibu... seems to be taking deep breaths. She takes note of the items mentioned... The medical kits that can be found and their materials...

The enhanced version.. noted... uses... arcanium... note- ARCANIUM? Thought they were just good for watering cans! She underlines the word, definitely got to find more.

Malibu notes down the procedure in intricate detail. The papers just turn into incomprehensible scribbles to anyone that dare read them, only the eyes that wrote these can understand them now. Her legs vigorously shake in their place as she quickly tries to keep up, gotta get everything!

Bandages... suture for big wounds... Yeah, it's easy enough to keep up with. Right?

She finally raises her head, only to realize the grueling pain in her neck that got used to the posture and answers the question.

"Ow! A-Ah.. no questions.."

[13:20] Again, the girl continues watching the scenario before her as Sven operates on Tristinia. The girl takes in the specific tools that Sven addresses, and uses, as well as the many liquid resources at his disposal, like the alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.

Each note is quickly written in sloppy hand-writing, dissimilar to her usual neatness, as Hina wants to ensure all notes are taken about the situation, of what Sven mentions, along with inadequate drawings of the tools he's using!

Furthermore, the little Kitsune pauses, glancing at Sven's illuminated eyes inspecting circuits, as he mentions, without touching them. It truly intrigued little Hina, and she jots down to inquire with him about it later since the girl didn't want to interrupt his procedure.

What kind of sight allows something of such a deep nature? Had it been tied to anything more? She was curious!

"Lax essence for numbing. Peroxide for cleaning, or alcohol," The girl whispers, writing down those notes.

Another turn to watch the situation unfold. To see the runes written upon various crystals, inserting them into the pierced wound and mend together thereafter - of course, a multitude of methods would be employed depending on one's capabilities in magical affinity.

However, the view of the thread going through the needle to bring the skin back together was.. something of a sight for the girl to see. A tad disgusting, but she had made it this far into the entire procedure, didn't she? Hina looks with a mixture of disgust and absorption, mind wrapped around all intents of the finished procedure now.

"Your ability to see circuits like that is really amazing," she says, glancing at Sven with a curious gaze.

[13:27] The lapines returns towards Sonya, smiling.

"That's actually what I am doing, yes. Prescribing her to get some rest while the suture is still fresh."
A little playfull smile is adressed again to Tristinia.
"Alas, Sonya. You can't entirely control someone's autonomy if they are able to be in control of themselves. Sometimes, it's possible that they will disobey, intentionnally or not. But it is alright. You have told them. You have expressed you care for them. And when they need your help again, your hand is always offered to help stand them up."

He returns then back to Asa, as he washes his hands before picking the book that was laid on the desk.
"There are some instructions in this medical book written by Hemera Valmonte. Which coincidentally, I have to meet her soon some day. I will be asking to see if I can purchase more copies of this book so I can distribute themto my students. At least, those who have attended all three classes !"
A heartfull chuckle is hummed, as he adds.
"Speaking of which. I..... still have a lot of injuries to present", as he glances to the scrolls still closes, "But this book also lists them all."
He returns towards the book, and opens them in the desk.
"You can give a quick peek on the physical and magical injuries. I think, we have extended this session with quite a demonstration already, and I don't want to hold your time longer. Take notes if you want, but please do not damage the book !"

He nods, then returns towards Hina. He smiles, honored and proud to hear.
"17 years of medecine. I have seen many differents circuits in this time. And acupuncture relies a lot on working on the circuits." In a swift hand manoeuver, he conjures thin crystalline needles in hands. "It looks scary, but don't worry ! Remember when I have mentionned the spirit key nodes on the magical circuits schematic? Acunpuncture works on opening these keys though specific needles. In my case, I have altered them with my own magic for my needles to be able to drain and transfer mana too."

He nods once again, as he discards the needles in a crystalline dust in the air.

"Alright, get a look on the book ! And once everyone has taken notes, feel free to ask questions, then we will close the session !"

[13:37] Proteus Equisol nods softly towards Svengalf.

[13:37] Proteus Equisol asks, "Mind if I watch?"
[13:37] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Oh greetings Proteus ! You just arrived at the end !"
[13:37] Proteus Equisol says, "Ah, unfortunate."
[13:37] Svengalf Sandsker says, "But the catch up class will be in like, 1 hour and half."
[13:37] Svengalf Sandsker says, "So you can attend this one."
[13:38] Malibu says, "Aww.. There's no time to go to the tavern again."
[13:38] Proteus Equisol says, "Oh I needn't the training, but I do find myself curious."
[13:38] Hina Lam glances over to Proteus Equisol. The man looked like a familiar person who fit the description of what Loki had once told her of his appearance. She gives the man a wave!

[13:39] Asa would also glance over at the newcomer, a more reserved wave given, then his nose would be stuck downwards, reviewing, and expanding on the notes he took.

[13:39] Proteus Equisol offers a soft wave towards the pair, his gentle smile growing slightly. He'd remain silent however, not wanting to disrupt further.

[13:40] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Ah ! Curiosity doesn't hurt. Actually I would love too !"
[13:40] Svengalf Sandsker says, "More eyes, that means more witnesses to hear about my classes."
[13:40] Tristinia says, "I do need to eventually head to Aphros I'm afraid."
[13:40] Tristinia says, "To retrieve Renewal and such."
[13:40] Svengalf Sandsker says, "It's alright, we are basically over for now."

[13:41] Asa says, "Oh, do be safe on the way! There was a white hooded bowman prowling the roads leading there."

[13:42] Tristinia says, "I'll come with to Aphros."

[13:42] Tristinia says, "Without my weapon, I could use the reassurance of others."
[13:42] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "I can provide a shortcut if you want !"
[13:43] Svengalf Sandsker says, "... If you don't mind laying some fairy rings I have hidden in Aphros, hehe."
[13:43] Sonya Lange asks, "Fairy... rings?"
[13:43] Svengalf Sandsker says, "... It's a myth, it's not real."
[13:43] Asa tilts his head, unfamilar with the term.

[13:44] Svengalf Sandsker says, "It's a legend that, fairy rings, described as circles of flowers or mushrooms, would be Lifestream convergence points where fairies visit our world."
[13:44] Hina Lam giggles at the conversation going on. She'd have to stop at her home here in Frontier before departing anywhere, especially to Aphros.

[13:44] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Yet no one has prooved such !"
[13:44] Hina Lam says, "Oh, wow! That sounds very cute, actually."
[13:45] Malibu says, "Ah.. I think you mentioned this before too.."
[13:45] Asa says, "I see. It does sound cute, and like a discovery that'd get your name far."
[13:45] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Mhmh ! I like the idea."
[13:45] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Tsk, listen."
[13:45] Svengalf Sandsker says, "I can spread that myth even harder."

[13:45] Asa 's eyes glimmer. For the first time today, he giggles a little bit, hiding his smile behind his hands.

[13:45] Svengalf Sandsker picks up his cloak and armor, dressing back in his priestly garbs.

[13:46] Hina Lam exclaims, "Yup!"
