  1. 1) How did you find out about Anubis RP?
  2.
  3. Through a compilation post on Reddit. I’d tried several public servers in the past, as well as some rather badly managed whitelisted ones, and Anubis really looked more polished, fun and engaging than any of the ones I’ve experienced.
  4.
  5. 2) What is your age and nationality?
  6.
  7. 27, U.S.
  8.
  9. 3) What is your primary characters role? [EMS/Civilian/Police]
  10.
  11. As I’ve never played an EMS or police and know Little to nothing about the server atmosphere at this time, the first character would probably be a civ.
  12.
  13. 4) What is your primary character’s backstory and characteristics?
  14.
  15. Main character would be Eric Smith, a disgraced businessman fleeing an old life in rural Texas, seeking new and exciting opportunities. Eric is an eccentric and inflammatory character, and often comes off abrasive. His ambitions often get the better of him, and he’s been known to betray friends and business partners alike to advance his personal goals. This culminated in his previous partners framing him for the murder of his wife, ruining his reputation despite being disproven in court. He’s seeking a fresh start, and the ability to realize his dreams in a place untainted by his reputation.
  16.
  17. 5) You are hanging out with your friends and a car pulls up behind you, someone gets out with their gun drawn on you. The person tells you to put your hands up or else they will kill you, they then ask for you to get in the vehicle. What would you say and do in this situation?
  18.
  19. First and foremost, put my hands up and comply with their demands. I’d obviously also try to talk my way out of it, feel out why I’ve been taken and try to reason with them on how I can get out of it, if it’s possible.
  20.
  21. 6) Do you understand acting salty to officers when arrested and rushing them to process you is not considered valid RP, that “breaking character,” or acting “immature” even when someone appears to have broken rules around you, is punishable?
  22.
  23. Yes. Rule breaking should be handled via reports, not in character. One should also not rely on word of mouth to handle rulebreakers. At the end of the day, it’s a game and should be played as such. Being salty IC or OOC is toxic and really has no place. It’s pixels on a screen.
  24.
  25. 7) When is a good time to break character?
  26.
  27. Never. Anything that can’t be handled by your character should be done through support/admins.
  28.
  29. 8) What should you do if you’re arrested by the police and you lose power during the process?
  30.
  31. Do my best to return. If return isn’t possible, reach out via discord to let them know the situation.
  32.
  33. 9) If you’re robbing a store with a hostage, how would your character deal with the police and the situation at hand if surrounded?
  34.
  35. Attempt to trade the hostage for free passage, or find another way out (I.e. back entrance, roof access). If these aren’t possible, then surrender is the only viable option as a shoot out likely ends in death.
  36.
  37. 10) Do you stream, use YouTube, or other social media? If so, can you tell us about it?
  38.
  39. Nope. I occasionally comment on Reddit, but I haven’t tried streaming since 2011 and then only streamed 3 times.
  40.
  41. 11) Please explain why meta gaming is bad
  42.
  43. Meta gaming gives you an unfair advantage, and removes any semblance of role play if you have 3rd hand knowledge.
