  1. >Fleur and Fancypants make there way through the snowy Canterlot markets.
  2. >“Why are we out here Fancypants? Its far too cold. Even with my hoof crafted beautiful ensemble.”
  3. >“Now now dear. Today we’re on the prowl for the exotic.”
  4. >Fleur pouts. “Exotic what?”
  5. >“A good question. I don’t rightly know what it is. It stands on two hooves, wears ratty clothes and sings quite peculiar music.”
  6. >Fleur glares at Fancypants.
  7. >“You dragged me out of my nice warm home to help you can bag another dam biped? What is wrong with you?”
  8. Unabated Fancypants smiles and continues walking.
  9. >“Now dear this biped is different then the last. He’s got barely any fur, no horns that I can see and I‘m pretty sure he’s bitless. Ripe for moulding with a little positive reinforcement.”
  10. >Fleur face hooves.
  11. >“Not this again. Need I remind you of your previous failures? The minotaur tried to gore you, the dragon tried to sauté you and the dam dog almost beat you to a pulp with a sack of stolen crystal jewellery.”
  12. >Fancypants stops and looks back to his companion.
  13. >“Well I have a good feeling about this one. I’ve heard he even has a decent singing voice.”
  14. >Fleur shakes her head and mutters. “Why bring me along if you don’t care what I have to say.”
  15. >“Tut tut Fleur. A gentle colt doesn’t go anywhere without an escort.”
  16. >“That’s why you brought me out here in the dam cold?” she yells.
  17. >Fancy puts his hoof to his lips. “Shhh dear. I believe I hear him.”
  18.
  19. >A tired and poorly dressed Anonymous stands in front of a small group of ponies singing his heart out. Renegade by Styx. Not the best song to sing without instrumental accompaniment but he has been singing all day and is running low on songs he remembers all the words to. The crowd of ponies cheer him on, seems ponies really like human music. Some even try and join in on the song, parroting his words. Its actually kind of creepy how quickly they catch on to the melody.
  20. >Finishing up the song Anonymous sits down trying to catch his breath. With the same movement he pushes his old dishevelled ball cap forward. A few of the ponies throw some bits into it before leaving, humming there newfound tunes as they go.
  21. >Anon grabs the cap and starts counting his bits. Not a whole lot but if he can keep this up a month or two more he can afford some actual winter clothes and a train ride out of this town.
  22. >A stallion clearing his throat knocks all thoughts of Anons financial situation to the back of his mind.
  23. Looking up Anon see two ponies. A smartly dressed blue haired stallion and a pinked haired mare.
  24. “Sorry you two. Shows over for the day. I‘ll be back tomorrow.”
  25. Fancypants smiles.
  26. >“My good colt I’m here to talk to you about your next performance.”
  27. >Anon raises one eyebrow questionably.
  28. >“Are you tired of having to sing on the streets for spare change?”
  29. Anon looks to his paltry sum of bits and back up to Fancy.
  30. “Go on.”
  31. >“You see I know a few of this towns big movers and shakers. A few words in the right ears could get you very far very quickly indeed.”
  32. “You would do that for me?” Anons eyes open wide with disbelief.
  33. >“Well I could be persuaded to…..were you to… hmm how do I say this….entertain me?”
  34. Anon jumps up, his face lit up with a smile.
  35. “What kind of music do you like? I know all kinds! Give me a genre and I’ll..”
  36. >Fancypants puts his hoof to Anons mouth momentarily silencing him.
  37. >“Not that kind of entertainment.” whispers Fancy as he gives Anon bedroom eyes.
  38. “Wha…….what?” Is all Anon can bring himself to say.
  39. >“You see I have certain tastes.” Fancy slides his hoof from Anons face to his chest. “That I would like to indulge.”
  40. >Anon falls back onto his ass stunned by the stallions forwardness.
  41. “Wo man I’m just a singer I don’t go around fucking for cash.”
  42. >Anon scrambles backwards till his back hit’s the wall.
  43. >Fancy tut tuts as he closes the distance between him and Anon.
  44. >“You think I’m here to throw bits and rut you into the ground? No I am not offering you money for sex. I am offering you a future. “
  45. “A future?”
  46. >Fancy brings himself face to face with Anon.
  47. >“Tired of living on the streets? I’ll put a roof over your head.”
  48. “But…”
  49. >“Too cold in your rags? I’ll have you made an entire wardrobe.”
  50. >Fancy notices Anons canines and smiles.
  51. >“Hungry for more then just table scraps? I’ll fill your belly full of warm food. Meat if that’s what you desire.”
  52. Anons eyes widen. “Real meat?” he whispers.
  53. >“You see now I am not just offering you bits….So Anon…what do you think?”
  54. >Anon gaze goes downward. His mind going over everything Fancy has offered him.
  55. >“Well you think it over. If you make a decision go here.” Fancy pulls out a note with an address written on it.
  56. >Fleur huffs up and glares at Fancy Pants as she recognises the address.
  57. >Stepping away from Anon Fancy turns and begins trotting away.
  58. >“Come along my dear. We’ll give the young colt some time to think.”
  59. >When they are far enough away from the market not to be overheard Fleur loses her shit.
  60. >“You gave him my bloody address! What the hay is wrong with you!?”
  61. >“Dear Fleur where did you think I was going to send him?”
  62. >“To your home you peacock!”
  63. >“Fleur. I am trying to court him not make him a servant.”
  64. >“Oh we both know that’s not true.”
  65. >Fancy smirks. “Well I don’t want him stealing my things if he decides to ditch and run. Plus you still owe >me. Stay up late tonight. He‘ll show up without a doubt.”
  66. >“So he can steal my things?! How do you know he’s even going to take you up your offer anyway. Maybe he doesn’t even like ponies.”
  67. >Fancy Pants smiles and looks up into the sky at the growing clouds.
  68. >“Whether he likes ponies or not doesn’t really matter. Its going to snow again tonight and lot more then usual if I am correct.”
  69. >Fleur sighs heavily. “You are impossible sometimes.”
  70. >They split up and head toward there homes.
  71. >Back at the now empty market. Anon sits with a worried look on his face as he stares at the note in his hand.
  72. >The wind starts to pick as snow starts falling.
