'Sup, doods!

Recent news has me very fatigued and understanding of why so many people seek an escape. Whether it be Nijisanji, Wactor, Hamas and/or Israel (I can't tell), certain people around Wendy Williams, Donald Trump, the U.S. Republican Party, or the numerous profits-over-people corporations that exist in the world, I get the impression that the world is short on human decency nowadays. I've spent my life adopting a “live and let live” policy, but certain groups of people just won't leave LGBTQIA+ people alone, as an example. It's like we've either forgotten as a species what we need to do to survive or overinflated what those needs are and have gained an even bigger sense of entitlement because of it. Remind me again why private employment is required to access food/water/other essentials to not die? Aren't we entitled to those things? In my mind, a decent society would make sure that everyone can get everything they need and make people work for luxuries and comfort. However, I don't know too many people that are willing to be decent to their fellow man.

I have a desire to be a champion for human decency, doods. I'd like to define it in a way that anyone can understand how ordinary the effort has to be. I'd like to think that people who are not decent can redeem themselves, but I feel compelled to call out the people who are beyond repair. I feel compelled to explain why the things people do are not decent. There are plenty of current events in the world that would make for great content. However, I don't have a plan for starting that cause or the energy to come up with that plan. I need to sleep more, but I have tournament things to set up, but I need to sleep to have the energy to set those things up, but I need the time to set those things up. I know I need a lot of help—I'm just not sure what kind.

Because I want to keep decency in mind, I'm adding a pertinent line to my stream outros—and these updates. I don't plan to get overly preachy about it while I don't have a plan for any kind of activism. Does that mean I don't believe in it that strongly? Or has living worn me down too much? I am much too tired right now to think about it.


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (actual priority is in constant flux):

Goal #5: make a universal LPS broadcast layout that can be quickly adapted to multiple games. I have lacked the willpower to power through this. I am close to finishing this. I will start adding specific stuff for Tetris Attack this week.
Goal #6: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. This will need to wait until after the next Tetris Attack tournament.
Goal #7: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process. Next objective is to make transitions and alerts.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

Friday @ 9pm-1am EST – Friday Night Salt Mines – The Tetris Attack Tournament is About to Begin, Dood!
Saturday will probably have some sort of tournament qualifying session on it at some point to comply with tournament rules. Feel free to not watch.
