- * @[Shark] we've moved over to the Ruins Zone, which is decidedly less overbearing than the Volcano Zone, and he's getting his disk activated once he feels they're in the clear.
- * @Yuma seems very ethusiastic as he gets activates his own disk! So much boundless energy, despite where they've just come from!
- <@[Shark]> *your energy is truly boundless, I'll be sure to knock it out of you* I'll take the first move!
- <@[Shark]> Duel! (4000 LP)
- <@Yuma> Duel! (4000 LP)
- * @[Shark] drawing his cards and immediately activating one. "Moray of Greed! I return Tin Goldfish and Shark Stickers to my deck." He slips the cards in as the deck shuffles, before drawing three more.
- <@[Shark]> *... and giving a smirk* Activate my newest card. Continuous Spell, Deep Sea View! *he inserts it as the ruins around shift, and look as though the area they're in is now underwater. though there's a clear view that there's even farther, darker depths to it among the ruins.*
- <@[Shark]> I normal summon Xyz Remora. (800 > 1100 ATK) Then Special Summon from my hand, Silent Angler! (800 > 1100 ATK) *the two monsters appear, gaining ATK as they swim in the water around them. looks like his spell's doing that...*
- <@[Shark]> Construct the Overlay Network! I overlay the Level 4 Xyz Remora and Level 4 Silent Angler! Come out, the tempest lord of the sea! Xyz Summon, Bahamut Shark! (2600 > 2900 ATK) *the two monsters dissolve into the network, before the waters seem to twist around, Bahamut Shark forming from them with two materials floating around it*
- <@[Shark]> Finally, I detach a material from Bahamut Shark. Special Summon, Nightmare Shark! (2000 > 2300 ATK) *Nightmare Shark swims up from the very depths below, it's body twisting around* I end my turn there.
- <@Yuma> My turn! Draw!!
- * @Yuma 'Man! He got two fairly big monsters out on the first turn! But still, I'll kattobing and do my best against them!!'
- <@Yuma> I play the field spell, Onomatopia!!
- * @Yuma plays the card, which makes the now underwater ruins also gain a very shiny look to it!
- * @[Shark] what does this shininess even do.
- * @Yuma You will soon find out!!
- <@Yuma> I normal summon Gogogo Giant to the field! (2000 ATK) Then, through it's effect, I special summon Kagetokage! (1100 ATK)
- <@Yuma> Now! Level 4 Gogogo Giant and Kagetokage... OVERLAY!
- * @Yuma 's two monsters turn into light and shoot into the overlay vortex in front of Yuma
- <@Yuma> With these two monsters, I build the overlay network!!
- <@Yuma> Come forth! Number 39 - Aspiring Emperor Hope!! (2500 ATK)
- * @[Shark] right, that "Number"...
- * @Yuma As Hope appears, there seems to be a shining symbol that appears behind Yuma and... Hope's attack seems to go up! (2500 ATK ---> 2700 ATK)
- <@Yuma> When a Hope monster is special summoned to my side of the field, Onomatopia gains 1 counter. All my monsters gain 200 ATK and DEF for each counter on this card!!
- * @[Shark] that can probably end up annoying eventually... but how many "Hope" monsters does he have?
- <@Yuma> Hope! Attack Nightmare Shark! HOPE SWORD SLASH!!
- * @Yuma 's Hope moves quickly and brings his sword down upon Nightmare Shark!
- <@[Shark]> Deep Sea View's effect! WATER-attribute monsters can't be destroyed by non-WATER monsters! *Nightmare Shark resists Hope's sword, but the damage still connects. (3600 LP)*
- <@Yuma> But you still take the damage!! Turn end!!
- <@[Shark]> Draw!
- <@[Shark]> Battle! Bahamut Shark attacks Hope! *right off the bat! Bahamut Shark twists around until it creates a tempest in the water, aiming for Hope*
- <@Yuma> Not so fast! I remove one overlay unit from Hope to activate his effect! *Hope swings it's sword at it's Gogogo Giant unit, making it disappear!*
- <@Yuma> I negate the attack! MOON BARRIER!
- * @[Shark] Bahamut Shark bounces off of a barrier that forms
- <@[Shark]> ... Main Phase 2. Detach the second material. I special summon a new Nightmare Shark! (2000 > 2300 DEF) *a new one joins, though this one turns around and positions itself defensively instead.* And as for the first Nightmare Shark... I reconstruct the Overlay Network!
- <@[Shark]> Come out, the hunter of the seas! Xyz Summon, Full Armored! Black Ray Lancer! (2100 > 2300 > 2600 ATK) *Nightmare Shark dissolves into the Network, before reforming into the armored warrior, who forms a spear made of dark energy, it's armored wings spread out to help him float in the water*
- <@Yuma> Whoa...!
- <@[Shark]> Finally, Salvage. I regain Silent Angler and Xyz Remora from my Graveyard. I end my turn there. *he adds the two cards to his hand*
- <@Yuma> My turn!! Draw!!
- <@Yuma> I normal summon Gagaga Girl to the field!! Then, since I now control a Gagaga monster, I can special summon this from my hand, Gagaga Child!!
- * @Yuma 's Gagaga Child appears, licking his big lolipop. Gagaga Girl, meanwhile, seems preoccupied with her phone. What are these monsters...??
- * @[Shark] are they delinquents. is his deck a deck of delinquents.
- <@Yuma> When Gagaga Child is special summoned, it can target my Gagaga Girl! It's level becomes the same level as her's!
- * @Yuma 's Gagaga Child pulls out another lolipop and gives it to Gagaga Girl. She happily pats the small Gagaga Child on the head as thanks (LV 2 ---> LV 3)
- <@Yuma> Now, level 3 Gagaga Girl and Gagaga Child.... OVERLAY!
- * @Yuma Just like before, the two monsters shoot into the overlay vortex.
- <@Yuma> With these two monsters, I build the overlay network!!
- <@Yuma> XYZ SUMMON
- <@Yuma> Come, wandering guitarist! Rank 3! Muzurhythm the String Djinn! (1500 ATK ---> 1700 ATK)
- <@Yuma> Now, cos I used Gagaga Child's effect, I can't attack this turn, BUT, Muzurhythm gets a super handy extra effect from Gagaga Girl!!
- <@Yuma> When I use her and another Gagaga monster as materials for an XYZ summon, the monster summoned can target one of my opponents special summoned monsters, and reduce it's attack to 0!!
- <@Yuma> I target Bahamut Shark!!
- * @[Shark] okay, now that's trouble. Bahamut's ATK tanks right down to 0, and stays there.
- <@Yuma> Turn end!!
- <@[Shark]> Draw!
- <@[Shark]> I switch Bahamut Shark to defense position! (2400 DEF) Switch Nightmare Shark to attack position, and set one card. Battle! Nightmare Shark, attack Muzurhythm! *Nightmare Shark rights itself, before heading straight for the Djinn monster*
- * @Yuma 's Djinn tries to defend itself with THE POWER OF MUSIC, but to no avail! The little guitarist is taken out easily! (3200 LP)

- <@Yuma> My turn! Draw!!
- <@Yuma> I set a monster and end my turn!
- <@[Shark]> Draw.
- <@[Shark]> Activate my set card. Metaverse! This lets me either activate or add a field spell to my hand from the deck, and I choose to activate Umiiruka! *while it makes no visual effect on the surroundings, you feel much more that you're in water right now, Yuma. Hot water perhaps, since Nightmare Shark just bumped up to 2800 ATK and Full Armored Black Ray Lancer's sitting at 3100. ... Bahamut Shark's at 2000 DEF now though.*
- <@Yuma> Urk!
- <@[Shark]> Nightmare Shark, attack Hope! *Nightmare Shark rushes right for Hope through the water*
- * @Yuma knows that he has to move fast to avoid what was to come, looking up at Hope, Hope gives him a nod and the two seem to know what the other is thinking.
- * @Yuma 's Hope quickly lowers his large sword so it's flat to the ground, Yuma climbs on it and FWOOSH, Hope lifts it up with force and sends Yuma flying through the water, right up to the top of one of the underwater ruins, where he grabs a card---!
- <@Yuma> Action Magic - Block Draw!! I negate the attack and draw 1 card!
- * @[Shark] hnm. He didn't want that. Nightmare Shark's attack is deterred.
- <@[Shark]> Full Armored Black Ray Lancer, attack Hope!
- * @[Shark] the second monster throws their energy spear at Hope!
- <@Yuma> I detach Hope's remaining overlay unit to negate the attack! MOON BARRIER!!
- * @Yuma 's Hope once again creates a barrier to pritect himself
- <@[Shark]> I end my turn.
- <@Yuma> My turn! Draw!!
- * @Yuma looks at his hand and grins!
- <@Yuma> Firstly, I use Hope to reconstruct the overlay network!!
- * @Yuma 's Hope shoots into the overlay vortex!
- <@Yuma> CHAOS XYZ CHANGE!
- <@Yuma> Show yourself! Number C39! The power of hope, the messenger that changes chaos into light, Aspiring Emperor - Hope Ray!!
- * @Yuma WELL, you wondered how many Hope monsters Yuma had and the answer is: At least two! One more counter appears behind Yuma on his field spell, meaning his monsters now get a 400 boost to their ATK and DEF
- * @[Shark] "more than one" is enough to make the field a potential problem if he has more up his sleeve
- * @Yuma 's Hope Ray's attack increases (2500 ATK --- > 2900 ATK)
- <@Yuma> Next I normal summon Dododo Witch to the field! Then I flip summon my face-down monster which is a second Dododo Witch!
- <@Yuma> Level 4 Dododo Witches! OVERLAY!
- <@Yuma> With these two monsters I build the overlay network!
- <@Yuma> XYZ SUMMON!
- <@Yuma> Come forth, sheathed in light! Shining lord who slashes through the dark!
- <@Yuma> Heroic Champion - Excalibur!
- * @Yuma A crimsion clad monster, who also has a big sword, appears onto Yuma's field (2000 ATK ---> 2400 ATK)
- * @[Shark] 2400 ATK is nothing.
- <@Yuma> Next, I detach both overlay units from Excalibur! This allows me to double his original attack until the end phase of your next turn!!
- * @Yuma 2400 ATK is nothing? TRY 4000 ATK!!
- * @[Shark] ... yeah, that's more something. He tries to look around to see if there's any Action Cards nearby, but now's your chance!
- <@Yuma> Excalibur attacks Nightmare Shark!! HEROIC SLASH!
- * @Yuma 's Excalibur charges towards Nightmare Shark bringing it's sword down upon it!!
- * @[Shark] gh, too late for him to get moving, Nightmare Shark takes the blow-- and while it's still standing, that's quite a bit of damage! (2400 LP)
- <@Yuma> Then Hope Ray attacks Nightmare Shark as well!! Hope Sword Chaos Slash!
- * @Yuma 's Hope Ray also goes in for the attack, also hitting it with a large sword!
- * @[Shark] Nightmare Shark takes the brunt of it. which is... at least not as bad as the previous attack. (2300 LP)
- <@Yuma> Turn end!!
- <@[Shark]> Draw.
- <@[Shark]> ... Moray of Greed! I return Silent Angler and Xyz Remora to the deck! *he shuffles the two cards in, and draws three new cards* I set one card. Full Armored Black Ray Lancer, attack Hope Ray! *the Lancer forms a brand new spear, this time leaping up through the water to come down upon Hope. you're not escaping this time!*
- * @Yuma 's Hope Ray is hit by the spear and is insteantly destroyed! "Hope Ray!!" (3000 LP)
- <@[Shark]> I end my turn.
- * @[Shark] gets moving though. Whatever the case here is... He needs to be prepared for whatever might come next. He can't get comfortable with his field.
- * @Yuma 's Excalibur's attack returns to normal (2400 ATK)
- <@Yuma> My turn! Draw!!

- <@Yuma> Now! Level 3 Gagaga Magician and Gagaga Girl.... OVERLAY!!
- <@Yuma> With these two monsters, I build the overlay network!!
- <@Yuma> XYZ SUMMON!!
- <@Yuma> Appear, whimsical pianist!! Rank 3! Humhumming the Key Djinn!! (1100 ATK)
- * @[Shark] that wouldn't be a problem if he hadn't just used Gagaga Girl again...
- <@Yuma> Of course, like with Muzurhythm, Humhumming gains an extra effect from Gagaga Girl! I reduce your Full Armor Black Ray Lancer's attack to 0!!
- * @[Shark] the Lancer's ATK tanks like a rock in the water
- <@Yuma> Next is Humhummings own effect!! When special summoned, I can target one 'Djinn' XYZ monster in my graveyard and special summon it to the field! I target Muzurhythm!!
- <@[Shark]> *gh, he'll have to do this* I won't let that happen! Activate, Solemn Strike! (800 LP) I negate and destroy your Humhumming!
- * @[Shark] lightning seems to strike above, before coming down with percision accuracy through the water and onto Humhumming.
- * @Yuma 's Humhumming doesn't stand a chance and is struck with the lightning!
- <@Yuma> Tch..!
- <@Yuma> Alright then!! Looks like we'll be going all-out here, Shark!!
- <@Yuma> Excalibur attacks Full Armor Black Ray Lancer!!!
- * @Yuma 's Excalibur dives and attacks FA Black Ray Lancer at full force as Yuma quickly moves along the tops of the ruins he's on!
- * @[Shark] thankfully, he's been moving this time-- he knew what was about to happen, and he was ready. He leaps through the water, managing to gain enough height to grab at an Action Card that's sticking out of a ruined column, landing before activating it.
- <@[Shark]> Action Magic! Evasion!
- * @[Shark] Full Armored Black Ray Lancer already tries to move around Excalibur
- * @Yuma , expecting Shark to go for an Action Card, makes a quick dive, also snagging a card from the crack in one of the ruins, he looks at it and instantly activates it!
- <@Yuma> Action Magic - NO ACTION! The effect of your action card is negated!!
- <@[Shark]> What?!
- <@Yuma> KATTOBING!! GO EXCALIBUR!!
- * @[Shark] his expression is exactly https://i.imgur.com/liazquS.png
- * @Yuma 's Excalibur continues with it's attack, swiping at FA Black Ray Lancer with that large sword!!
- * @[Shark] Lancer gets sliced through! And while it's still not destroyed... Shark takes the damage from the backlash, getting knocked off his feet by it. (0000 - LOSE)
- <@Yuma> ALRIGHT!!!
- * @Yuma throws a fist into the air energetically in celebration!
- * @[Shark] the ruins reassert themselves, as Shark's disk sends over the Shards. As in multiple. He's at least been busy in-between wishing he wasn't around a volcano.
- * @[Shark] is standing up from it though, looking annoyed at himself. He didn't expect Yuma to negate the Action Card.
- * @Yuma walks over to Shark and gives him a huge grin.
- <@Yuma> That was a super fun duel, Shark!!
- <@[Shark]> *your enthusiasm is... prominent. He puts a hand into his pocket though* If you want to think so, sure. I know I should've done more than that. But I lost. *... he holds out his other hand* Like I said last time. I'd shake your hand when you won. And you won.
- * @[Shark] well... least he keeps his words, even when they're rude!
- <@Yuma> Heh! *Still with a grin on his face, Yuma takes Sharks hand to shake it.* You really had me on my toes right up until the last minute!!
- <@[Shark]> *he shakes it, but then he pulls back his hand* Wish it felt like that. But I have no time to stick around and chat now. I need to find more Shards unless I want to be personally escorted out by LDS's goons.
- <@Yuma> Ah! Good luck, Shark!! *Yuma gives him a thumbs up!*
- * @[Shark] he turns around and gives a wave before he runs off. he might at least... respect you a little more. You think. Maybe.
- * @Yuma already considers him a friend! THERE'S NO TURNING BACK NOW!
- * @[Shark] why else do you think he's running.
- * @Yuma turns and heads on his own way! These ruins look fun to explore!
