Bio: Liam is Chilcinian, a sellsword (selllance?) who makes no secret of it. His interest in the Izarran liberation is almost entirely economic - there are battle spoils to be had, and he dreams of someday paying off all his debts and retiring from the battlefield entirely.

After all, he would rather not have taken up arms. Chilcinne being as it was, and lacking any useful skills or a trade, he took to battle out of necessity.

His family is long gone. His mother abandoned his father early in his youth, so early that he does not even recall her face, and his father never had more children. Liam's relationship with his father was not a close one. Although his father was not cruel, he was often distant and stern. He was not a childrearing man, but a man of the sword - and he died by the sword one day fighting for the local bandit chief against his rivals.

Who he does still have back in Chilcinne is a childhood sweetheart. That romance has long since died, but they are still close, and he considers her family as his own. He sends most of his mercenary wages to her family so they can pay off the bandit leader who lords over that region and still have enough money to eke out a living.

He has many petty fears, but deepest down, he fears the almost inevitable fate of a mercenary - that he will die, that it will be painful, that he will leave those that depend on him worse off because of it.

But he doesn't really have a choice in the matter.

In his off time, Liam is personable enough. He enjoys living in the moment when he can, and is unfortunately sometimes given to gambling.
