The best apple pie

Alexithymiaa: (I always forget that Kelsey's house is ridiculous)
Covet: Kelsey was sitting at the counter watching as Connor and her Mom got everything set up to do their pie. They'd already filmed the earlier segment of making the filling while doing their baked apples. // Connor was double checking all the ingredients and Sarah looked over his shoulder with a smile making sure they were all there with him.

Alexithymiaa: -Brad stood with the camera set up on the tripod which was pointed at them, a decent set up with the island and the space given to get them both in the shot while keeping it wide enough to see the pretty kitchen. He yawned and covered his mouth with his hand before rubbing at his eyes, trying desperately to stay awake enough to be responsive and on point for Connor's video.-
Covet: Kelsey got up and went into the kitchen to grab Brad a diet coke to help try to perk him up. "Here, you keep yawning over here and I don't want you falling asleep and missing something." She said with a laugh. // "Okay Dad, I think we're ready now." Connor said looking over at Brad, "One last one right Grandma?" // Sarah smiled and stood next to Connor, rather impressed with how he took charge in all of this. "Yep, We'll put this pie in then we can have our baked apples, I've even got ice cream in the freezer we can put on top."
Alexithymiaa: -He turned to Kelsey when she handed him the soda, relieved to have a little assistance in the staying awake department. "Thanks. It's been a long few days." He said with a tired and weak smile, popping the top and taking a long sip. He quickly redirected his attention to Connor when he addressed him, nodding his head. "Yep, okay, I'm ready. " He said, hitting the record button on the camera. "Action."-
Covet: "No worries, I'll drive home, so you can nap. I'm sure Connor will crash too. Plus you have dessert to look forward to as well." Kelsey told him as she gave his back a rub, then let them do their thing. // "So now that we've made the filling, we're ready to make a pie!. Grandma has the dough we made and chilled earlier, out and ready so we can put it together. So First we need to take our pie pan, and make sure it is greased so it doesn't stick." He explained then took the spray struggling to push the button down, and had to result in handing it over to Sarah. // '' Here you go. All greased." Sarah said then started to unwrap the plastic around the dough, and coating the cutting board with flour before starting to roll it out.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad smiled at Kelsey, listening in on their instructions to the best of his ability. When he heard what they were doing, he picked up the camera on the tripod, walking it in close and pointing it down to get a close up of their motions.-
Covet: Connor watched as Sarah got the dough started and once it was thin enough she grabbed the small apple shaped cookie cutters, handing them over to him. " Now Grandma is going to cut the circle for the top, so that we can take three apple shapes out of the dough."// Sara flipped their pie pan over and cut a circle just larger than the pan, then gathered up the extra dough and set it aside, before assisting Connor in cutting out the apples.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad slowly zoomed in to get a good shot at what they were doing before backing out, setting the tripod down again for a wider shot. Angles. Taking another sip of his diet soda, he passed it over to Kelsey and leaned in to whisper to her. "Was this free?"-
Covet: "Why does it taste better?" Kelsey asked with a smirk, whispering back to him. // Once the apples were out, they set them aside with the circle. "Now we're going to roll out the extra again, and line the bottom of the pie pan with a layer of the dough." He said as he watched Sarah rolling out the dough, in the mean time he dipped his finger in the bowl of pie filling licking his finger off, putting the pie pan down when Sarah was ready for it. //. "Thank you , peanut." Sarah said putting the slightly thicker dough in the pan, pushing it into the form.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad kept an eye on their pie making, but he was too busy grinning at Kelsey. "It will if it's free." He whispered, taking another quick sip.-
Covet: She laughed and shook her head, "Then yes, it was." Kelsey said, watching her son and her mom. // "Now we put the filling into it." He said taking a big spoonful of it and plopped it down into the dough filled pie pan. He did this until the rest of the filling was in the pie, then set the bowl aside, "Grandma is going to put the top crust on, so it's just perfect." He said as Sarah did that, "Now we take an egg wash and brush it over the top of the dough then we put the apple cut outs, on top between the holes." He explained.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad applied a slow zoom in on Connor's hands to get a better shot, smirking at Kelsey. "I love free." He picked up the tripod and walked it in again, getting a top down view of them covering the filling with dough.-
Covet: Kelsey turned her attention back to the pie making as they were just about finished. // Connor then brushed the egg wash over the other apples, "Then we sprinkle some sugar over the top of it and put it into the oven to bake for about an hour. But, since we don't have that kind of time, We've got a finished product right here." He said as Sarah pulled out the other pie. " Tada"
Alexithymiaa: -Brad smiled as he watched them, lifting a hand into the air to make a circular motion, signaling Connor to wrap up the end with his usual sign off.-
Covet: Kelsey waited for them to wrap, to clap her hands, // Connor signed off then climbed down from the stool he was on, "Can we have dessert now, please Grandma!" He said excitedly. // Sarah laughed and nodded her head, "Okay yes, we can have dessert. Let me get this pie in, Kels can you get some bowls out for everyone.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad stopped recording, smiling at Connor. "That was perfect. You're like a pro now. Soon enough Youtube is going to be paying you to have videos on their website." He said, which is truly believed since that's how it worked. He pulled the camera off the tripod and turned it off, setting it down inside his camera back and beginning to collapse the tripod. "I want a big piece."-
Covet: Kelsey got some bowls out, and the ice cream, setting it all out as her mom got things dished up for them. She got Brad a piece of pie, along with Sarah, while Connor and Kelsey had the baked apples. "These turned out really good, Kiddo." She told him with a grin// Connor smiled, "Thanks Momma. Grandma's recipes are some of the best." He said as he dug into his ice cream and apple and all that // Sarah was savoring the bites of her smaller slice of pie.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad finished putting his equipment away and turned to take his piece from Kelsey, digging in immediately so he could chime in with how amazing it was. "Wow... this is everything I'd hoped it would be. I've been thinking about this all day. This pie helped me get through my morning." He said as he pushed more into his mouth.-
Covet: "You've been waiting for it since this morning?" Kelsey asked. "Wow, I'm impressed you lasted that long." // Connor was happily eating away, then stopped to talk to him, "Thanks for filming Dad." // Sarah smiled then stopped before a bite, "Don't forget to take the bag with the bread that I set aside for you guys too."
Alexithymiaa: "Me too." He said through a mouth full of food, covering his lips to at least hide the fact that he was talking with his mouth full. "No problem, buddy. You're my easiest client." He said with a laugh. "There is no way we will forget to take the bag of bread home."-
Covet: "I've already got it loaded up in the car." Kelsey said as she watched Connor inhale his food. "If you're done, go wash up so that we can get ready to go home." // Connor nodded his head and got down so that he could go get his hands washed. // Sarah started to get things cleaned up, thankfully there's wasn't a lot because they'd been cleaning up along the way.
Alexithymiaa: "Wait, can I have another piece?" He asked, scraping the bottle of his bowl with his fork, trying to savor every last taste of it. "This might be the best apple pie I've ever had in my life."-
Covet: "How about you get one for the road and you can eat it on the way?" Kelsey suggested // Sarah got a paper bowl for Brad so that she could put another piece in his bowl.
Alexithymiaa: "I vote yes." He said, bringing his bowl and fork to the dishwasher because he's at least polite in Kelsey's house. Good impressions. "Thank you." He said to Sarah, taking the paper bowl from her and looking to Kelsey. "You're definitely going to have to drive back. I'm going to fall asleep in this pie."-
Covet: "I'll get us home safely don't worry." Kelsey said as she headed for the door, Connor meeting up with them as they were about to go out. Sarah gave them all hugs before they walked out.
