This post will be on save files and extra lives. Note that almost every Mario game is canon to one another, which is why evidence from many games will be used

== Paper Mario ==

In the scan above, it mentioned game ending. This will be an important concept to prove Mario is like in a video game with saving and loading being an actual ability
