BACKGROUND :
  ◦ not to be dramatic or anything, but miso's childhood was quite interesting from the start. her parents were eccentric scientists who were fascinated by how gifts had developed throughout society, and had dedicated their life to studying them despite being giftless themselves. when miso was born, it wasn't that she was neglected per se, but her parents were so absorbed in their work that she didn't have the traditional upbringing. her parents were too preoccupied with showing her how gifts work and what triggers them to actually teach her common sense life skills, and she ended up a carefree child who didn't really have life skills at all. she discovered her powers relatively late, when she was ending middle school. miso was walking home from school one day when it started to pour, and she didn't have an umbrella. she didn't expect anything to come from how much she wanted an umbrella to protect her from the rain, so when she pulled an umbrella out of thin air, she was so surprised she sort of fainted in the middle of the street. miso knew that if her parents found out that she was gifted too, she would be subject to all sorts of weird tests, so the moment she realizes that she has a gift, she shows up at the doorstep of the conservatory, begging to be let in. it isn't the traditional way to gain entry, and she makes such a big ruckus that everyone already there knows her before she's even accepted into the conservatory. she meets with the headmaster, but only is allowed in when he realizes just how uncontrolled her powers are.


PERSONALITY :

  ◦ ( HAPPY GO LUCKY ) - miso lives as if every day is her last, and doesn't really worry about anything. she has a very positive attitude, even though her days could realistically be limited with the threat of the battalion looming over her, and can't find herself to care about much outside of herself and her friends. she's bright, and not necessarily in a good way. oftentimes, she can be so outgoing that its a little suffocating, and even though she's supposed to be, you know, fierce, you'll probably find her with a smile on her face. that's not to say that she's a saint, of course, because god knows miso can get in a lot of trouble. not only does she live as if everything is right with the world, but she lives, as she likes to say, "on the edge." she acts as if she's invincible and does whatever she wants, no matter how stupid it might be, or how dangerous. she thinks before she acts, and the worst part is, she never ends up regretting her actions.

  ◦ ( QUIRKY ) - of course, despite being maybe the dumbest person alive, she still has a way of making people fall in love with her. she's quirky and unconventional, and definitely one of a kind. miso is always on the lookout for the next big adventure, and has a sort of innocent girl charm to her (even though she's the polar opposite of innocent.) along with being just really dumb, she can be really funny and amusing, which comes with the territory, most would assume. she's a little bit of a child, but as the youngest of the group, people aren't very surprised by that. miso can be a bit loud and abrasive, and more often than not will end up yelling to quote unquote, express herself.

  ◦ ( CHARMING ) - miso might not be the most mature, but that definitely doesn't show when it comes to charming her way out of certain situations. the only reason she continues to get herself into sticky situations is because somehow, she always manages to get out of them, and therefore seems to be under the illusion that she'll never get hurt or in trouble. she's reckless, yes, but anytime miso does something bad, like tipping over an expensive vase or "accidentally" eating the last slice of cheesecake, she'll blame it on one of her friends -- they've grown so accustomed to it that, while they don't take anything she says as truth, they'll just brush it off or ignore it. after all, how can you get mad at someone so adorable? overall, she's a bit chaotic but still cute, and somehow manages to save her ass no matter the situation.


TRIVIA :
  ◦ because her and jungkook are the youngest members, they are the closest
  ◦ likes to use her gift to create food for a late night snack

  ◦ loves to art!! she's almost always sketching something, and loves watercolor

POWERS :
  ◦ although her powers are creation, which means she can make anything she wants if she has enough energy, she can't really control what she creates. in certain situations, she can call on her magic to create something to help, but she often doesn't know what will be created. sometimes, the things that she creates seem obscure and almost useless to the situation, so miso has to be creative with how she uses what she's created to help her squadron.
  ◦ later on after her time at the conservatory, miso is able to gain better control over her powers when thinking of her magic as reaching into another dimension and pulling something useful out, rather than creating an object from the magic she has within her.
  ◦ because miso has almost no control over her gift, she's always using it even if the situation doesn't call for it. in everyday life at the conservatory, she'll use her gift, to the point where people are always telling her to just stop. her squadron leader is always getting on her for taking advantage of the powers she has, but really, she just uses her gift at every turn in hopes of getting a better grasp on them.
  ◦ however, miso's gift only works when she's energized. as in, she's had enough sleep and eaten enough to keep her satisfied. when she isn't in what she calls "the optimal state" problems occur with her gift. additionally, her mood affects the efficacy of her gift. if miso is sad or tired, her powers are faulty and often don't work. if she's angry or excited, her powers jump into overdrive. basically, there are many reasons she still doesn't have a good grip on her gift.

HOW THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER :

  ◦ FIRST ENCOUNTER - the way that yoongi and miso meet is actually quite predictable when you consider she has a habit of getting herself in the worst situations possible. it's late at night and she can't sleep, so she decides to go on a lil adventure. usually, she takes jungkook with her when she does things like this, but he had a big test coming up the next day, and she wasn't that much of an ass to bother him before that. so she goes on her own to investigate a rumored battalion base (she'd overheard the location while the squadron leaders were talking) and ends up arriving at a deserted warehouse that wasn't too far from the conservatory. so there she is, searching around, when she realizes someone has returned to the warehouse and that's when she decides "wow, maybe now would be a good time to hide!" so she hides behind some sort of barrel as yoongi and namjoon come walking in, talking about something. she overhears bits and pieces of their conversation, which is when she starts to realize that the battalion is planning some sort of attack. and of course, with her luck, she accidentally sneezes while they are talking, drawing attention to herself. namjoon gets suspicious, and him and yoongi begin to search for who could potentially be there, spying on them, and that's when miso realizes just how royally she's fucked up. so she sits as still as she can, and holds her breath. at one point, namjoon gets really close to where she's hiding, but doesn't find miso, and she sighs in relief once he's far enough away from her. unfortunately for her, yoongi does hear that, and before she knows it, he's looked behind the barrel she's hiding behind and the two of them have locked eyes. as soon as yoongi sees her, he recognizes her as one of the girls who attends the conservatory -- one of his sister's friends. so they're staring at each other, and miso thinks that this time she's gone too far, this time she's going to die. namjoon calls out to yoongi, asking if he found anything behind the barrel. he doesn't take his eyes off of miso before he's knocking the barrel down, and miso is like "yup. i am ACTUALLY going to die now" until yoongi replies to namjoon "nope, nothing here," his eyes still boring into miso's. she isn't sure what's going on when namjoon and yoongi both walk out of the room, despite how after yoongi knocked the barrel down, she was in plain sight to both of them. it's only later, after she runs back to the dorms and is safe in her own bed, that she realizes one of yoongi's gifts is cloaking -- and he had cloaked her so she wouldn't get caught by namjoon.

  ◦ LATER ENCOUNTERS - the next time they see each other is when yoongi almost stupidly shows himself in front of the squadrons, under the guise of visiting his dear little sister, RISING. of course, both miso and RISING know that's not why he showed up -- RISING because they are estranged, and haven't spoken after whatever falling out they had, and miso, because she knows he's here to talk to her. in typical miso fashion, however, she isn't frightened at all. to the rest of the members of the squadron, yoongi doesn't pose a threat, because they don't know he's suga aka their mortal enemy. he confronts her and the two of them talk about why miso hasn't outed him as a member of the battalion yet. miso tells him that she hasn't because she truly believes he's not evil, and he's just had a lapse of judgement. he tells her that that's a load of bs, but she's insistent about the fact that yoongi isn't part of the battalion because he believes in what they do. she tells him that she won't tell the conservatory of his identity, and after that, every time the squadron and battalion meet, there is a sort of flirty banter between the two of them every time they fight (or whtvr).

TRIVIA :
