File 1038: Show, don't hide

Toujima's the culprit.

His motive was that he needs 5 million Yen in the surgery of his daugther, who has a complicated illness.
He's told that his own tray is a prototype worth several millions and regrets his actions.

The owner of the real dish is Chouno. Sakamaki is disappointed but Chouno says he can lend his tray (for the exhibit) (in exchange for a fee, though)

Regarding (the Professor's) small tray, Kurisuke had actually damaged it and tried to hide it using glue and painting. He was found out and scolded so he put it in the box which has "show, don't hide" written on it as a lesson; and so it's not worth anything.

Akai provoking Sera was meant to be a means to keep her in check so that she doesn't approach Haibara that often. Conan was about to tell him about Mary but Akai replies that he has an idea of what's going on, then he doesn't ask him about her.

But what Conan axtually wanted to talk with him about was whether Mary is MI6 or not. If that's the case, he suspects she's checking him to see if he can be relied as a collaborator (by giving him a hint to her identity).

Sera, curious that Okiya mentioned the "50:50" that Mary often says, asks Mary about it (but without telling her about Okiya). She tells her that it was something Tsutomu often said and that Akai copied it.

Sera reports that since Okiya hindered her then it's gonna be very hard to get her hands in the drug. Mary is surprised Sera is so fixated in Okiya. Sera suspects that he's Akai but thinks that it can't be the case.
