- So many little creatures ready to acquire new knowledge! Fabulous, splendid!
- Welcome all to my class, dear Starfall students. Some here already know me, but what about others? Not so much! Even so..
- My name is Nerium! Doctor Nerium. It is a pleasure to meet and see every single one of you here today!
- Today, we will be seeing something away of the eyes of the professors.. Something that by many is termed taboo, something wrong and bad!
- But my compatriots and I think in a totally different way. As this is nothing but a art, science! Still.. Keep this as a secret, alright? And you know what it is? Just one thing obviously.
- Fleshcrafting. Which one of the presents, can tell me what Fleshcrafting is? The one who answers with one hundred percent certainty - will receive an award.
- A gift of sorts. Go ahead, don't be shy.
- Listen carefully.
- Fleshcrafting is an art that originated years ago, createdby the great Trik Gutterunner. This, produced a science which was based on the study and manipulation of organic matter - with different purposes.
- And do you know which ones they are?
- Everything your mind can think of! For fleshcrafting is only limited by the creativity of its practitioner. Consequently..
- Depending on a person's abilities, willingness and availability, you can achieve many things with this art.
- But the main uses so far seen, were by doctors with the intention of restoring damaged parts as said, lost limbs. But also recreate lost parts and much more! It's something that can provide great help to restore a person's health.
- And probably the most known is with the intention of creating servants. Undead, soulless entities that are onlycontrolled by the Fleshcrafter, like meat puppets! And such can be transformed into more monstrous beings, such as abominations.
- But how does fleshcrafting become possible? Quite simple, through the manipulation of magic circuits! Which are filaments invisible to the naked eye.
- Yes, of course.
- Things that are normally only known to enable us to use magic... However, they are drastically intertwined with our bodies. Magic circuits are countless, almost endless. Strands that extend throughout our body. These as said are connected to the soul, which produces mana and transports it through the circuits!
- And, allows us to use magic.
- But not only that, as such circuits are intertwined with the body's functions! Functions like of organs, muscles, flesh, bones, blood and everything else.
- So much so that there are specific points with a greater concentration of magic filaments. These being the brain, heart, spine and stomach! They have a greater concentration of filaments and therefore are sometimes used for manipulation.
- Mainly for those starting the study in order to facilitate the flow of mana to a target. And thus, whoever has access to such circuits have control of the body. That is, of the being who has these circuits.. In this, fleshcrafting comes in.
- Who takes advantage of this connection, to manipulate these circuits and mold the flesh! So, those who have control over the circuits, have control over the entire body.
- Obviously in the beginning, it's easier to just control existing things, such as the body of a dead entity - but as a person progresses in this art, it's possible to mold the flesh.
- Transforming is and giving new forms!
- To be able to manipulate the circuits, you need to get your mana flowing into them. A delicate process, which if you don't take care of it.. Can happen two things.
- First, it's a beautiful explosion of magic circuits! Boom. And the second is the total failure in which nothing happens. Therefore, too much mana will make it explode and not much mana, nothing happens.
- You have to find the balance, but while making the energy flow steadily. Now.. You have to fill a body, all the filaments in it, with your mana.
- From that point on, it becomes an extension of you. Thus, allowing control and also the molding of the flesh. But we'll start with control, of course.
- Future classes will cover meat shaping.
- ----------
- First of all, I didn't meet Nidaz - but during my time serving in the Capital, I've heard many reports regarding him. How he was Trik's successor, how he pushed the limits of the art, until he reached necromancy. Before I forget again, necromancy and fleshcrafting, as much similar they are.. They are not the same thing. Both have a difference, as one deals with organic matter and the other the soul, how to manipulate one that is.
- Therefore, they complement each other! But they are not the same thing.
- That's why fleshcrafting is the body, while necromancy the mind. Yes, it can be used in an offensive way. As the circuits are interconnected to the body in a totally drastic way, when the explosion occurs, it will damage the body.
- It's quite common for us to blow up whole bodies during practice! And yes, unusable as expected and it's also possible to restore depending on a fleshcrafter's capabilities. A mixture of an undeads, who underwent countless modifications using other bodies, tissues, things... To reach this result. Therefore, an almagimization of bodies!
- An abomination.
- It's easier to use existing ones for a replacement, but it's possible to create eyes! Of course. It is possible to restore the functioning of the body of someone who can no longer move, yes. I believe.. that a person from Osrona received Nidaz's treatment, concerning that.
- And was able to walk once again! Yes, it is possible, with time and dedication, using the correct materials, to create and develop something that simulates the magic circuits.
- This is due to the fact of those who used it. An art is nothing more than a tool, for example, it depends a lot on the person who is using it to decide its purpose.
- Where due.. To misuse, it can be considered dangerous. A problem. Something wrong. You get the picture. Yes, a person can strengthen his or another person's body, in temporary or permanent ways - with the intention of making such, into stronger beings.
- We'll be talking about necromancy in future classes, not this one.
- Alright, now how do we control the bodies? Simple! As these become extensions of our bodies from the moment our mana fills them, it's like moving an arm.
- Your mind will know how.
- In this regard, it would be more like controlling a puppet! Through lines, which will be our mana. So it's a matter of will, of feeling.. And doing such an act. Now, one thing I've been asked in the past.. Is it possible to control the living? The answer is that yes, it's very possible! But more difficult, because the mana of the being will react against the one that invades.
- That's why it's more common for us to use dead bodies, to avoid such a situation. Now, we come to the part I like the most! Practice.
- I want you all to pick one of these and then make your mana flow into their bodies! Try to control them and not fail, those who manage to do it? Well.. You'll be one step closer to actually starting your fleshcrafting studies.
- Also, now to those chosen before.. You are allowed to study the circuits of the captured beast.
- Of this, abomination.
- This is your prize! Congratulations.
- To all those present today in my first class, I must thank you. You who stayed until the end have my gratitude, I hope to see great things from you!
- And that this art should not be forgotten.
- Without it, all would crumble, and fade away, as if it never was."
- NOTES:
- Stomach - basically mana battery
- Spine - main way for mana to go around your body
- Heart - the place that moves your mana
- Brain - good as entrance for mana and has connections to eyes
- Eyes - basically a big node of circuits, good for the usage of
