A fine red powder

Redstone

A fine red powder, deep in the rocks, descendant from the grounded up oil of ancient gears, glowing bright like the blushing cheeks of a flustered person in love when touched, from its fine power conducting abilities comes great limitless inventions.

The sound of creation slowly starts up,  somewhere a redstone torch lights up a line of redstone ending in a piston that pushes a block away

A red bright spark lights up everywhere

Someone steps on a shiny metal plate, in it's front there is a wall of metal, the sounds of metal creaking and the sounds of something hissing happens then suddenly the wall  is pulled back to reveal it's secrets: a red bed and a couple of chests filled with treasure

A simple door could have done it, but where is the fun in that?




 In a large hot and scalding desert stands a   computing creation, lines and lines of the red powder sprinkled in coloured wool darken the world below it, the screen lights up as the world slowns down momentarily, the code within starts running. A simple calculator program boots up

The first computer is bulky, but reliable for the simple needs of its time

A song is heard across a flat world with the press of a button, lines and lines of powder, repeaters and strange blocks across it, a wave of colourful music notes flowing across it

The world rises quietly, a song to accompany it's loneliness

Many explosions rock a world as the sound of pistons hitting slimes fill anyone's ears  in a ten mile radius as the massive behemoth that is the super quarry  moves on, pushing blocks up into its exploding maw, causing a fracture that the world will never truly heal from.

As creation rises, so does destruction

A bridge made out of stone   rises in the lava and fire landscape, the sound of pistons matching up the hissing sound of the icy moisture  of ice blocks meeting the unbearable heat of the bubbling lava below

Quick, fast and convinient: a motto many would follow

 In a land where the sky is void and the ground is unbreakable, a piston without a head emerges, deleting the seemingly unbreakable rock,  they have done it

 they have breached within the forbidden lands


A person creates a viewing  window to another world, they vessel wanders trough the grass, soon to enter a fight with the strange creatures within it, a battle begins

A window opens, another closes



A towering skyscrapper stands atop the skies, inside it there stands many boxy creatures: shulkers, clicking and clacking away with they own purple shells, litlle do they know what they very existence does to the world, barren without monsters, the only creatures in it being the boxy end crustaceans

This world rests in quiet Peace, it's inhabitants working away in the now safe land










a young woman breaks down a wall with a stone pickaxe

"What is all this red stuff?"

"Its redstone"

"What?"

"redstone!"

As her friend talks nonchantly about the red stone, a look of familarity and curiosity fills the pale face of the young woman, her drolling left eye twitching of happyness

In that day, as amelie touched her first redstone block, she had great visions

Tomorrow she would rise and create great things, like many great beings did before her, she would become annoyed, even give in to frustration at a misplaced line, but in the end she would grow to learn and learn more with the red stone

But for now, she was left with one thought

"What a fine red powder this is!"
