Scenario:
After having been made aware that Hifumi's mother is overbearing, to the point of it bothering even Akechi, the ace detective got curious and decided to investigate the situation. Digging up personal information about Hifumi, he discovered her mother's name. Curiosity got the better of him, resulting in him checking the MetaNav; here he discovered her mother had a Palace.

Pitching the idea to Akira, the leader gave his consent to undertake this mission and help Hifumi. However, Akira, Ryuji, Yusuke, and Mona had another request to attend to that they'd already agreed upon first; deciding to divide and conquer, Akira split the Phantom Thieves into two groups. In an act of showing his returning trust in the detective, Akira made Akechi honorary leader for a group consisting of Haru, Ann, Makoto, and Futaba.

The Palace is an Elizabethan theater, with grandiose displays and eccentric designs. Hifumi's mother also has an Elizabethan design, similar to the theater robot design from Nier Automata. Along with this, the Shadows in her Palace are dressed up as actors; their masks are their scripts.

Having been confronted by her mother's Shadow, Hifumi awakens to her Persona, Mu Lan.
