I'm a freelance web designer and content manager for ages already, and together with my business partner we're juggling a client base of about 950+ hosted domains. With some of these clients we'd like to experiment with their ideas, to see if they work. Let's say a client wants to set up a webshop, we help him with it and take a percentage of his sales in return.

For these experiments I need a reliable hosting partner where I can easily create and destroy hosting accounts, and KH's managed vps definitely is a good fit for this behaviour!

I started off on a managed reseller package but I didn't like the speed 'cause it was was hosted in the US and I'm in the EU. I then asked for an upgrade to a managed vps, which was done the same day by the kh team. Special thanks to Deborah P, Oleg V and Ryan A for assisting me with this migration and crediting my account with the remainder of the credits spent on the initial reseller package.

I am hosted on their Amsterdam servers and the IP of the VPS... I'll report this post and let the mods know.

Well, I visited KH website a moment back after being enthused with the given review. However, even the sales chat is not live. Not saying the reviews here or experiences are not first hand or not genuine, but support story (pre-sales and post-sales) needs to be really robust.

The sun's never down on the internet, you see! A reseller could be having a day full of trouble even when it's midnight for the host.

In my experience (with US-based vps providers) over the last 10 years, good hosts keep Sales and Support chats available 24x7.

you're mixing up sales and support here. If a reseller has trouble, he reaches out to support which is available 24/7.

Finally, I went ahead with SiteGround. Found their pre-sales support to be highly informed with all the balanced answers as they should have provided. Setup was flawless and after dns-resolution I am sailing smooth with my new hosting account. My peeve with having to pay annually upfront remains, but this is Europe and not US .. norms are different here.

I will update as we go along.

It has turned from a Knownhost review thread to a Siteground review thread.

Honestly, Siteground virtual servers are highly overpriced.

Wait till you are hit with the increase in prices, i've seen alot complain about SiteGround's live chat also been taken away on Twitter (correct me if i'm wrong).
@LinuxFox everything is discounted for new users and upon renewal, prices shoot up massively.
