  33. Well, to be fair, the power armor isn't exactly what it used to be when I got it from the Megaman X jump. This is, by and large, because I reforged it - it still has all of its old functionality, but it took a solid fifteen years of crafting with Caloric Stones to get all of the parts appropriately enhanced so that it offers protection both technologically and magically. Rather than looking akin to a less tacky version of Lex Luthor's power armor, it looks much more like a modernized knight with optional (retractable) helmet. And added to that, then, are the plentiful upgrades. I'm sure I can upgrade my suit's systems myself for visual expansion, but the Dark Visor is a rather unique upgrade. And so is the intel connection.

  35. Of course, my stay in this universe was a lot more awkward. Go to Zebes in hopes that Samus might want a hand taking down Mother Brain? Well, if it wasn't for the fact that she had a mission to finish first, she'd have dragged me in, because I have quite the bounty on my head. Not that my attempt to depart helped - the local space pirates realized I was present and threw almost everything they had at me.
  36.
  37. As I was relying on my suit's systems for the most part, rather than my usual arsenal, I was a little more limited in my response. I did still run into Samus during the battle against Mother Brain, and the shoulder-mounted buster was quite effective in making holes in Mother Brian's defenses that she exploited. She, at least, called it a day and declined to come after me once the fight had finished.
  38.
  39. Of course, this didn't mean there weren't tons of space pirates who were after me. Nor Federation soldiers, when they realized I was in the area. Often, I'd lead the two into each other - I generally didn't kill anyone from the Federation, of course, but they should have kept their priorities straight. Still... ten years of being chased across the galaxy as I nail pirates, pro bono? It got old very, very, very fast.
  40.
  41. You know what else gets old fast? CRAWLING THROUGH TUBES BECAUSE I CAN'T USE THE MORPH BALL AND THERE'S NO OTHER WAY TO WHERE I NEED TO BE.
