  17. Plot-
  18.
  19. Upon entering the poolboys surface in the sewers of a city. There will be a perception check. Those who pass will notice that there are cameras taking security footage. (Audio improvements or good rolls will notice a whirl as the camera seems to focus on something likely the poolboys)
  20.
  21. After climbing up and out they discover a high tech and somewhat slowly decaying city. The streets are sparsely populated. Everything is computerized and tech oriented. Upon interaction, the Poolboys will notice the "humans" are actually andriods not past the uncanny valley. The movements are jerky, speech patterns mostly normal but with some "breakages" (Slip into computerized vocals). The eyes of the Andriod lack life, and yet have an amazing focus. They will be able to learn from the Poolboys (After some interaction the Andriods will seem to be mimicking movements or vocal patterns and accents)
  22.
  23. After more interaction an Andriod will approach offering the poolboys a place to rest or stay for a meal at a local resturant. They will keep insisting that they do so. There will be multiple outcomes depending on what they do.
  24.
  25. 1- The Poolboys go to the Restaurant and feeling watched and dealing with old Androids. Some look to be falling apart. The poolboys will learn more about the city and it's history. Including about "The Maker" a mysterious being hailed as a God. However the poolboys might become more aware of the God-like status they themselves have seemed to earned. The meal that is served is largely inedible, being merely holograms of delicious food projected over oil and broken plates.
  26.
  27. 2- They will continue to explore the city for a while feeling watched. They learn nothing of the background of the city. Androids will seek them out and ask them many questions leading them to be interviewed by a News Android who seems vaguely familiar. She will proceed to interview them and ask if "The Maker" Sent or made them.
  28.
  29. 3- If they explore the city and go into a Large Building with the broken door, it will lead to a foyer area. If they push through and jostle some of the doors they will notice a shut down Factory filled with various Android parts. Here they will encounter an older broken and worn down Android who asks them who made them. He will talk to them about the man upstairs. And how they feel like when they get "down and rusty". Once he realizes that they are not Androids his demeanor changes into that of an aggressor. Warning them to get out of the Factory and to stay out. If they do not leave he will attack.
  30.
  31. 4- If they explore the city and go into a the building with the lights on, it will turn out it is a residential area occupied by a Gynoid and a child Android. They can engage in conversation with the Gynoid and her child. The child seems to be that of a female 8 year old. She will proceed to poke around the poolboys and touch them in various places and/or shock them. If their emotions change she will pick up on it and inquire about it.Going so far as to ask, "What is it like to feel?" She will explain that her Father has promised her that someday she will be able to feel like he can. But only when she is ready. She will then emit a strange computerized giggle (unless the poolboys have laughed near her then she will emit a recording of their laughter raised to her pitch) And then she will leave. The Poolboys can either stay or ask to meet her father. If they ask to meet her Father the Gynoid says she will contact him and leaves the room before returning and stating that if they wish to meet the Maker they must leave at once to catch him on time.
  32.
  33. At the end of any of these scenarios newer looking Androids will approach them. The Androids will have mirrored facial features, of their counterparts in the poolboys. The body types (unless gender) will not be replicated but seem to have a standard shape to them. They will introduce themselves as the Beta set and request they learn from their real partners.
  34.
  35. Regardless of the answer (however with no it will be quicker) the Androids will begin to become displeased with being the Beta. They will move to attack the Poolboys.
  36.
  37. A small scuffle will ensue before the Androids jerkily stop all movements and shut down. A computerized voice can be heard throughout the city and the lights and displays will change to a screen showing a man with multiple wires coming from his head and a visor covering his eyes. He will proclaim his disdain and say he admits "his failure to create proper prototypes" He will thank the Poolboys for providing the inspiration he needs to revitalize the city and therefore the world. He invites them to see his lab. The Poolboys can speak to him. At the end he again invites them to see his lab and the electronic displays in the city go dark. A light flickers behind them and a building's door opens.
  38.
  39. The following will be a maze like area of disrepair. There will be an entrance to a corporate building a desk will provide keys to the employee elevator. There are multiple ways upstairs.
  40.
  41. 1- Employee Elevator A- It will be blocked by debris that can be moved. However a hand scan is to be used in order to get through. Anyone of the poolboys can do so only to discover their identities and genetic information is displayed on the screen. They are able to go up the elevator and it leads to the top floor, it is a giant room filled with cables and wire with a window overlooking a factory.
  42.
  43. 2- Employee Elevator B- the same Debris blocked Elevator however a skilled Technological/Electronic Engineer can hack their way into the computers to operate the elevator
  44.
  45. 3- Elevator- A mechanic/Engineer can engineer this one back to normal operation or if they want to be very daring they can try to climb up the elevator shaft.
  46.
  47. 4- Stairs- There are stairs that go up to the top floor but there are a lot of stairs and they are not very steady.
  48.
  49. 5- Factory, they can go back to the Factory and fight the security Android and make their way to the top by using the lift or the ladders there.
  50.
  51. Once they reach the top floor:
  52.
  53. The man from before will remove his visor and greet the group as "The Maker". He will go on to reveal that the Androids were all replicas of people from his memories something he has long since exhausted and now has no inspiration. He will also reference his "frustration" and "Biggest Failure" however he will herald the Poolboys as the cure for this. Something he has awaited for for a long time.
  54.
  55. He will go on to reveal his belief that their appearance as the final piece he needed to correct his biggest failure and the lack of inspiration. He now has more inspiration to create more people to populate the world as well as the sources of allowing him to grant life to his "subjects". It will become more and more clear that due to being the only human like sentient being in the world he has begun to believe his own story he created to help him deal with his loneliness.
  56.
  57. He will offer the poolboys a chance to be his subjects and allow themselves to be his inspiration forever. They will probably (and understandably refuse) leading him to ruefully suggest he needs to subdue his would be partners. Leading into a battle with Security Androids which is revealed to be patched up versions of the replicates.
  58.
  59. After their defeat the Maker will lash out at the Poolboys saying that they are preventing the world from expanding. His vision.
  60.
  61. The Poolboys can do more than one thing,
  62.
  63. 1- Kill the Maker: They can kill The Maker effectively cutting off the connection and cause the dimension to completely die.
  64.
  65. At his death the city powers down. All the Androids stop and lose all signs of life. Allowing it to become evident that he was the only one really holding the world open all this time.
  66.
  67. 2-If the poolboys begin to look for a way to not kill him they can restrain the Maker back into his chair and disconnect the wires connecting him to his surroundings. Doing this removes the power source of the city since we isolated the Maker (Who in addition to creating the Androids also used his life energy to power them).
  68.
  69.
  70. Enemies-
  71.
  72. Alt. Versions of People- 1/4 their stats (using character sheets),
  73.

  91. As the City powers down the Maker (if he has not been knocked out) will continue to rant and rave about how the Poolboys are making a mistake and are inhibiting the progress of the future. He will continue to struggle but to no avail.
