- (Open on a night sky with patchy clouds. Pan down and fade closer to a paved hole in the ground. We follow a tan-colored moth down the hole and into the lair of the bad guys.)
- Kalin: One of our drones has captured a fly.
- Deevac: Good. And which of the Signers did he find?
- Roman: No Signer, but a Barian, Cortez Blackful, the new champion from the far future.
- (These three cloaked and hooded men are seated alone at a table; the room is dark except for a candelabra at either end. Roman sits at the head of the table, and Kalin and Deevac sit across from each other near the middle.)
- Roman: He dueled with great strength in the Fortune Cup, but let's see if his power's strong enough to escape our trap.
- (We pan across the room, and in the foreground, against our view of the three, the moth gets trapped in a spider web, and a spider prepares to eat it.)
- (Pans Kaiba Dome, duel stadium in which Cortez continues to duel the drone. in the turbo duel)
- Cortez: OK, mystery man. What're you planning to do to the Satellite?
- Drone: Continue the duel, and I'll tell you everything!
- (Cortez's lifepoints stand at 3500, and the Drone has 3000.)
- Cortez: Fine then.
- Drone: You may be from the far future, but you're no match for the darkness, and I'll prove it to you by playing the Dark Tuner Misfit, which will drain you of half your life point, after he's been used to dark synchro summon!
- [Dark Tuner Misfit 0/0/L10]
- (Misfit appears behind Drone and floats above Cortez and blast a dark purple beam at him, which surrounds him.)
- Cortez: Uuuaaaaaaaaah!
- (Scoreboard. Cortez, 1500, 0; Drone, 3000, 1.)
- Drone: Like the fly caught in the web, there's no escape! Void Ogre Dragon, attack!
- Cortez: Not so fast-- what?!
- (Cortez just attempted to activate "Hope for escape", and it froze up.)
- Drone: My dragon prevents you from using your trap or spell cards. You're trapped in the threads of darkness, and as long as you believe in the power of the Crimson Dragon, there is no hope!
- (Flame WingMan tried to block the red blast, but it was too much for Flame WingMan to take, so he's destroyed. His lifepoints go straight from 1500 to 600)
- Cortez (think): I need to warn Yusei and the others about this! The satellite is endanger!
- Drone: You're no match for the forces *I* represent! Soon, you won't help anyone! For now, I send 3 card face down.
- Cortez: Just what;s this about!? You work for Goodwin or something?!
- Drone: Him? Not quite, Barian.
- Cortez: I draw!
- (Scoreboard. Cortez, 600, 1; Drone, 3000, 2.)
- Cortez: And no matter who sent you here, I'm gonna beat you, and get the answers I want! I play the "Overboost" card! So now like before, I can gain four speed counters!
- Drone: Not gonna happen! You seem when you activate a spell or a trap, Void Ogre Dragon can negate that useless card! (The Overboost burst into flames.) After that, he then gains five hundred attack points! (Void Ogre Dragon's attack points went from 3000 to 3500)
- Cortez: Lucky for me, I got this! I summon Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird!
- [Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird 800///]
- Cortez: And with him summon, I can gain life points equal to number of cards you have in your hand! (O.C.) Do your thing, Hummingbird!
- (Air Hummingbird sucked in the appearing flowers on Drone's cards. Now Cortez has 1600 life points.)
- Cortez: Now I play my last "Overboost!" So now I have five speed counters! (Cortez's speed counters went to five.) And to even up my A game, I play the "Speed Spell - Speed Draw!" Now I draw as many card to the number of speed counters I have, so *I* draw *five* card!.
- (Cortez draws five cards and one of them looked like "Speed Spell - Half Seize")
- Drone: You're just delaying the inevitable! You waste your deck of cards that won't help you!
- Cortez: "I have fate in my cards. Let me show you what I mean! I play "Speed Spell - Half Seize" Now I can drain half your dragon's attack points to add to my lifepoints!
- (Void Ogre Dragon made a low roar as his attack points went from 3500 to 1750. Cortez then went from 600 to 2350.)
- Cortez: And now that you're monster lost all it's attack points, I can activate "Rabid Shotwing!" Now my Hummingbird gains two hundred attack points for each speed counter I have. And I count *five*! (Air Hummingbird's attack points went to 1800) Now Air Hummingbird! Attack Void Ogre Dragon!
- (Air Hummingbird floats up the air and dives down and destroys Void Ogre Dragon. Now Drone's attack points went down to 2950.)
- Drone: Congratulations, fool! Because of that, I activate my trap card, "Michizure" Now since you destroy my dragon, I can destroy your monster!
- (A piece of the ground opened and bolderized hand grabbed Air Hummingbird and sucked him in the ground.)
- Cortez: Hummingbird!
- Drone: And that'll be you, once you lose this duel.
- Cortez" Not gonna happen, pal! I activate the "Summon Speeder - Speed Spell!" Now I can Summon, Elemental Hero BubbleMan in defense mode!
- [Elemental Hero BubbleMan 800/1200//]
- Cortez: Now I can draw two cards, because I cleaned my field! Let's see what you got! (Cortez's speed counter returns to 1.)
- Drone: Be careful what you ask for! Because you might get it!
- (Scoreboard. Cortez, 2350, 2; Drone, 2950, 3.)
- Drone: I a second "Call of the Hunted!" So now my Void Ogre Dragon comes back to my side of the field! Now I activate the trap card, "Dragon's Rage!" Now when my monster attacks your monster in defense mode, the difference comes to you as damage!
- Cortez: Huh!
- Drone: Attack-- burst that BubbleMan!
- (Void Ogre Dragon's attack is fire debris; BubbleMan is destroyed, while Cortez actually loses balance from the impact, cause his runner to shake uncontrollably. He's down to 1800 lifepoints; Cortez has one last speed counter)
- Drone: Ha ha ha ha ha! Soon you'll be finished, along with your precious Satellite!
- (Cortez regains his balance to continue the track.)
- Drone: Soon the power of the giant's grip will squeeze the last of your lifepoints to zero and absorb you into the netherworld!
- Cortez: You haven't won yet.
- Drone: *Funny*. seems like I already have this in the bag!
- Cortez: Then let's find out! My hero deck never let me down!
- Drone: Well Hurry up and make your move!
- Cortez: Ugh... well then let's finish this and see who's right! It's my move!
- (Scoreboard. Cortez, 1850, 2; Drone, 3000, 4.)
- (Cortez's card is Angel Baton.)
- Cortez: I activate Angel Baton! Now I can draw two cards, as long as I discard 1!
- (Cortez discards Gauntlet Overlay.)
- Cortez: Next I summon Goblinbergh!
- [Goblingbergh 1400//L4]
- Cortez: And with him on my field, I can summon one monster level four monster or below from my hand so I'm bringing Summoner Monk! in attack mode! Next I activate my Monk's special ability, which lets me bring another monster from my deck that's level four to the field by discarding a speed spell! (Cortez discards "Speed Energy" Welcome to the field, Sacred Crane! And now I get to draw a card! Now I Overlay GoblinBerge, Summoner Monk, and Sacred Crane, to XYZ-summon-- Number Thirty-Two: Shark Drake!
- (The two overlays rush into a dark indigo galactic spiral, then the whole thing explodes in a burst of pastel lights.)
- Cortez: Time to Speed up!!
- (The emblem of the Number 32 appears glowing red. A crack opens in the stone and widens, a whirlwind of stone dust rising out of it, scattering debris through the water. A chevron-shaped creature-- a broad, triangular body and two powerful fins-- appears, two turquoise overlays orbiting. The fins lengthen, and grow claws at their ends; it grows two more fins with light blue sails. In its unfolded form, Shark Drake is a bipedal monster, mostly black with some orange and blue, with broad legs that taper to small feet with long claws; its arms are broad, strong blades, and it has two more fins protruding from its shoulders. Its head is relatively small, with glowing yellow eyes.)
- [Number 32: Shark Drake 2800//R4/]
- Cortez: And now I'm giving my Shark Drake a power boost! Next I activate Overlay Booster's special ability resting in my graveyard! I remove him from play, which gives Shark Drake an extra five hundred attack points for every Overlay Unit around my XYZ-monster! And I count three, which means 15 hundred attack points are added! (Shark Drake went to 4300 attack points.) Now Shark Drake! Attack Void Ogre Dragon!
- (Shark Drake shoots a shark like jaw beam and it destroys Void Ogre Dragon. The Drone's lifepoints now read 1650.)
- Drone: Ugh...! You may have destroyed my monster, but I'm still in the duel! Just you wait til my next turn!
- Cortez: There is no next turn for you!
- Drone: Huh?
- Cortez: See, my Shark Drake's got a special ability, which allows 'im to to use an Overlay Unit, so *your* monster comes back, but the side note to that not only dose it make your monster lose one thousand after returning to because of him, but he can also attack again!
- Drone: Huh?
- (Shark Drake took a bite on the overlay unit and suddenly as Void Ogre reappears on the field, it attack points went to 2000.)
- Cortez: So prepare to feel the fury of my Shark Drake's Deep Sea Destruction! Attaaack!!
- (Shark Drake did a rewind attack on Void Ogre Dragon, then it got destroyed.)
- Drone: Uuuuugggggghhhh!!!!
- (Drone's lifepoints now 0. Then his duel runner shakes out of control shakes out of control, then he crashes. Then the drone hits the ground.)
- (the fiery ring fades as Cortez got out of his duel runner and runs across the field and grabs the drone by the shirt, pulling him to a sitting position)
- Cortez: Wake up!
- (The guy dazedly shakes his head, and his hood slips off; the drone doesn't look too sinister anymore)
- Cortez: Hey, you owe me some answers, got that?! Start talkin'!
- Guy: Start talking about what?
- (Cortez lets go of his shirt, and the guy rubs his shoulder, clearly in pain)
- Guy: Who *are* you? What'm I doing here?
- Cortez: I had enough games! So tell me what that spider Sign has to do with the Satellite! Huh?
- (He looks; the giant monster Sign has completely vanished, as though it was never there.)
- Cortez (think): What happened to his mark?!
- Guy: What are you talking about?
- Cortez: Give me your deck!
- Guy: Uh, Okey?
- (Guy hands over his deck to Cortez so he can read through it. Over the next few lines, Yusei looks through the deck, glimpsing Chaosrider Gustaph, Karate Man, Tactical Espionage Expert, Jar of Greed, and Exiled Force.)
- Cortez: Did you remember anything after our duel? And where were you after I won my duel with Jack?
- Guy (overlapping): Impossible! ...Jack's the best ever... You beat him? Yo-mean you're the new champion, a-and I tried to duel you?
- COrtez: So what you're saying is, you don't know why you're here, why you're dueling, and why your arm had a *ghoul* on it?
- Guy: Ghoul?
- (Flashback. This same guy stands around in front of tumbledown buildings, a shining thread descends behind him, and he reacts, as though he feels something on his neck.)
- Guy (VO): All I remember that I was down in the Narrows, waiting for a couple of duel buddies, when out of nowhere--
- FB Guy: Huh?
- (End Flashback)
- Guy: It felt like some kinda spider stung me or somethin'.
- (The former drone suddenly winces, as though overcome by a sudden headache. Sirens can be heard.)
- Guy: Augh...!
- Cortez: A *spider*?! (he hears the siren) Who called Security?
- Guy: What are they doing here?
- Cortez: We better get outta here before they start asking questions.
- (Cortez and Guy got back on their runners and drove out of the city for the edge of the building.)
- (In the darkness, a glowing ghoul Sign vanish, then reappears. The scene lights slightly as we pan back, and we see that this mark belongs to Kalin. He covers the mark again with the glove that he had rolled up to bare it.)
- Kalin: Guess one of my employees fail to crush that little alien from another planet in another time. Well that's just great, and I worked so hard to give my beta dark deck to him!
- Roman: For the moment, Kalin, yes. But this was just a test to see if our mystery visitor was truly worthy of our efforts.
- Kalin: Well, he'll be fun to break, once I'm done with that old traitor that sold me out!
- Roman: Let's not worry about that just yet.
- (As he speaks, it becomes a voiceover as we cut to Yusei, is sitting on his chair, while looking up the ceiling, as a spider descends on a thread up top of the left ceiling.)
- Roman (VO): Remember that our web is wide and strong, the spider's bite swift and merciless. It's not the venom we need to change, but the prey. Hmhmhmhahahaha!
- (A truck roars through outside as Cortez returns to Blister's hideout in the earlyish morning. Yusei watches some new report on TV.)
- - As we can see here, last night that happened in the Kaiba dome, where pieces of the stadium is are all around-)
- Yusei: That doesn't look good.
- (Yusei then hears the motor of a certain duel runner, returning back to Blister's hide out. Yusei then came back, as Cortez takes off his helmet.)
- Yusei: Hey. Where'ja run off to last night? I was having a bad feeling that something was happening.
- Cortez: There was a really strange guy outside and I followed him.
- Yusei (stands): What happened? Did he challenge you to a duel?!
- Cortez: Yeah. And he was being controlled by a group called the Dark Signers.
- Yusei: Did you say Signers?
- Cortez: *He had a mark*. And it glowed like yours, but it was in the shape of a *Creeper*.
- (...Then cut away to an official building somewhere in New Domino. A video screen plays footage from the duel, and we hear the drone cry--)
- Drone (via screen): Attack! Burst that BubbleMan!
- (Goodwin pauses the video with a raised hand, and speaks to the wall beside him.)
- Goodwin: So they've finally made their move.
- (A holoscreen appears with a mysterious figure silhouetted on it. Appears to be wearing a black suit jacket over a lighter shirt. His head is bulky and squarish)
- - The Dark Signers may present a problem--
- Goodwin: Yes, but they're nothing we can't handle, my old friend. If they want to fight me, well-- they'll get more than a battle, they'll get a WAR!!
- (Aerial shot of the dilapidated buildings of the Satellite. In several alleyways and streets, white-robed drones are speaking, drawing small crowds of bystanders.)
- - People of the Satellite, the hand you have been dealt in life is not your fault! Lay blame on New Domino City and its Crimson Dragon!
- (We cut to another, very similar scene elsewhere in the Satellite.)
- - For the Crimson Dragon will only push the people of the Satellite down further! Listen to the words we speak today if you want a better life!
- (Yet another. This is happening all over.)
- - The strength of the dark shadows will rescue you all! It will release you from this despair you call life!
- (Yet another.)
- - Believe my words and follow us; rise up as brothers!
- (And still another drone in black robes trimmed with white draws a crowd of Satellite passersby.)
- - We can dispel the pain of poverty; we can take away your troubles forever!
- (Above the crowd, that web appears again. Strings of web descend onto each person's neck, and they gasp as one)
- - Uh, what's that...?
- - I feel tingly...
- (The drone exhorts them once more.)
- - You shall fight the Crimson Dragon!
- (The crowd responds, somewhere between a crowd of zombies and an actual angry mob, pumping fists into the air.)
- - We shall fight the Crimson Dragon! We shall fight the Crimson Dragon! We shall fight the Crimson Dragon!
- Rally: What are these, cheerleading tryouts?!
- (The drones turn one by one, surprised. Rally and Nervin were carrying home some groceries; Rally's carrying two bags, Nervin one. Nervin looks none too happy that Rally just attracted the attention of the entire crowd; Rally is unabashed, and continues.) <17:00>
- Rally: Well they *better* be; 'cause the last thing you wanna do is fight the Crimson Dragon.
- Nervin: Uh, Rally--
- (Rally takes a few steps forward; Nervin cringes behind him.)
- Rally: You should all be ashamed! The Crimson Dragon helped Yusei win! And you're standin' here cheerin' and talkin' bad about stuff you know nothin' about!
- (The crowdspeople, as one, turn to themselves and mutter. They seem conflicted between their new conviction that the Crimson Dragon is bad and what Rally's telling them.)
- - Yusei and Cortez...?
- - --Can't believe it--!
- Rally: That's right! So how 'bout an apology! 'Cause when Yusei and Cortez gets back, they'll prove to all of you that the Crim--(Nervin anxiously covers Rally's mouth with a hand, but we catch '--son Dragon is good for the Satellite!')
- Nervin: Will you be quiet!
- Rally (turns away from the hand): Hey, I got a right to say what I want!
- (The crowd is now walking toward them, mumbling in ominous monotones about the Crimson Dragon.)
- Nervin: But check out your audience; it's like they're a bunch a' zombies who don't agree with your point of view.
- Rally: You might have a point, Nervin!
- Nervin: Let's get outta here, *now*...!!
- (They back away slowly. Blister peeks out from a sidealley)
- Blister (think): The little one's got some guts.
- (Back in the tunnel...)
- Rally: I don't *believe* it! Why would a reporter write an article sayin' that Yusei ain't the champ?!
- (Rally is reading Angela's article on their flatscreen monitor, while Tank stands behind him and Blitz and Nervin sit on the couch with mugs on the table. For a transcript of the visible text of the article, please see the appendices.)
- Tank: We watched it live! Yeah there was that flash a' light and no one saw what really happened when they vanished, but--
- Blitz: Tank, stop *helping*! We all saw him win; Yusei's the one true champ!
- Nervin: Come on, Blitz, this whole thing is about class warfare; people don't want some street urchin from the Satellite as their new duel champ.
- (Rally scowls at the screen.)
- Blister: Good to know Cortez and Yusei got some strong supporters.
- (All four are startled; Blitz and Nervin stand.)
- Nervin: Hey!
- Blitz: Who're *you*?
- (Blister steps into the light, inside the doorway.)
- Blister: A friend. But if Cortez and Yusei told me about your manners, I might've stayed home.
- (In Blister's hideout, it started like the same last night, everyone sleeping, but Cortez and Yusei are still awake, having a conversation)
- Yusei: Wait, run that by me one more time.
- Cortez: Like I said, they want to wipe out the Satellite. Which means, the visions we saw, were true.
- (Flashback. Purple flames as high as buildings crisscross the Satellite cityscape, ruthlessly demolishing any structure in their path. As the Signers ride above the vision on their glowing pathway, the fires have finished etching the flaming purple outline of a spider.)
- Yusei (OV): So the Dark Signers want to destroy the Satellite?!
- (End Flashback.)
- Cortez: Yep, pretty much. He even called me Barian.
- Yusei: Then unless we combined our might together, we'll be sitting ducks!
- Cortez: Then we need to group together! If they want a battle, we'll give them a WAR!!
- (Both Yusei and Cortez clasped their hands together. Pans to the next scene, Cortez is in his chair sleeping, while Yusei looks out the window. His mark then glows, so he grasped it.)
- Yusei (think): Just like last night. If those Dark Signers are out to destroy the Satellite, then I better be prepared for them.
- (He looks out the window, and sees the suspicious individual with the purple spider Sign standing outside in the alley, looking up at him.)
- Yusei (think): Huh?! The cloak, the same one Cortez warned me about.
- (He looks out the window, and sees the suspicious individual with the purple spider Sign standing outside in the alley, looking up at him.)
- Yusei (think): If he's one of the Dark Signers, then he better give me some answers.
- (Yusei runs outside, and sees a cloak swish around a corner. He gives chase)
- Yusei: Hey you! Hey!
- (They run down a long alley and around another corner and Yusei beholds a large building, held up by iron frameworks; it's a parking garage.)
- Yusei: Where's he going?! Hey, stop running! Hey!
- (Yusei's inside looking around-- it's empty, with barely any parked cars-- when he hears the suspicious individual's footstep and whirls around.)
- Yusei: You shouldn't sneak up on people like that!
- - Heh, heh, heh, heh.
- Yusei: Are you one of the Dark Signers that dueled Cortez!?
- - I am one of the other shadow drone! And if you wish to know, then duel me, like one of drones did with Cortez.
- Yusei: Why am I not surprised. Alright, buddy, you've got yourself a duel!
- Both: Let's do this!
- (Duel! Wide-shot, cutscreen, 4000 lifepoints each.)
- (The camera pans out from the character who I called Drone 2, as a wall of purplish flames springs up behind him and spreads around the duel in a circle.)
- (Yusei and the Drone are now standing within a ring of purple flames.)
- Yusei: Is this how you dueled Cortez!?
- Drone 2: Your alien friend was lucky to escape the palm of darkness. You on the other hand, won't escape the web of darkness!
- Yusei: If Cortez was able to mop the floor with you guys, then I'll know I can beat you!
- Drone: We'll see! I summon Blizzard Lizard in defense mode!
- [Blizzard Lizard 600/1800/L3/water]
- Drone: Next, I place one card facedown and end my turn! Your move!
- (The radar screen in Carly's car reads 15345.9 and fluctuating)
- Computer: Duel disk signals detected.
- (Carly looks over at the screen)
- Carly: Those numbers *can't* be right. Readings don't get that strong. What could it be?
- (She merges over to the other lane, the only car on the road, and sees a flash of violet light in a half-built building; her eyes are wide behind her glasses.)
- Carly: What was that light down there? <16:00> Maybe it's 'the sheen from Yusei's runner' again.
- (Back to the duel.)
- Yusei: Okay, Mister Cloak-and-Dagger, I'm activating the "Tuning" spell card. With this spell I can add one tuner monster from my deck to my hand, as long as I get rid of the same number of cards as that monster's level! And since Junk Synchron is a level three, I'm sending three cards from my deck to my graveyard!
- (The three cards are Healing Wave Generator, T5D027_id2, and Speed Warrior)
- Yusei: Next I summon Junk Synchron to the field in attack mode!
- [Junk Synchron 1300/500/L3/]
- Yusei: But that's just the beginning; when Junk Synchron is successfully summoned, I can then summon out a level-two monster to keep it company! I call out Speed Warrior! And now with both of them on the field, Junk Synchron can give Speed Warrior a tune-up!
- (Speed Warrior and Junk Synchron spring into action; Junk Synchron starts the little motor on its back, and starts shining, until it turns into a fireball of energy and careens into the sky, forming three stars that circle around each other and form three rings. Speed Warrior soars through the rings and its two stars align...)
- Yusei: Now, Junk Warrior-- let's rev it up!
- [Junk Warrior 2300///]
- Yusei: Junk Warrior, give that Blizzard Lizard a warm Satellite welcome! Go, Scrap Fist!
- Drone: Not so fast!
- (Swirling lines, backed by static, appear around Blizzard Lizard; Junk Warrior strikes it, and destroys it, and suddenly a huge wind is blowing toward Yusei.)
- Yusei: What's going on?!
- Drone: Blizzard Lizard's special ability is going on! When this card is destroyed in battle, you get hit for three hundred points of direct damage!
- (Yusei's lifepoints decrease to 3700, he stays on one knee for a moment, thinking.)
- Yusei (think): Didn't see that coming. Cortez warned me about those guys using a similar power that Akiza uses when *she* duels. I better be careful. (aloud) Huh?
- (He has seen the ground, the surface of which has been ripped apart by the wind.)
- Yusei: What's going on?
- (Behind the Drone, it looks like part of the wall is missing. Yusei stands.)
- Yusei: Did my attack create real damage? Is that what this energy ring is about-- it makes battle damage real?
- Drone 2: Ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha hahmhmhmhm!
- Yusei: Okay, chuckles, I get it, you're gonna be like *that*.
- Drone 2: It's my turn now! I draw! First I'm activating the "Call of the Haunted" trap card-- this card lets me select one card from my graveyard, and summon it into attack mode-- so I'm bringing back Blizzard Lizard!
- [Blizzard Lizard 600/1800/L3/water]
- Drone 2: With that done, I activate the "Ice Mirror" spell card from my hand! With it, I can summon water-attribute monster on my field, and then summon the same monster from my deck! So with the power of this card, I'm bringing out another Blizzard Lizard to the field in attack mode! And now I'll play *this*!
- [Blizzard Lizard 600/1800/L3/water]
- Yusei: Another "Ice Mirror" spell?!
- Drone 2: That's right, and with it, I summon out a *third* Blizzard Lizard!
- [Blizzard Lizard 600/1800/L3/water]
- Yusei: Doesn't this guy know that three's a crowd?
- Drone: Well then how 'bout I release two of them to make some room for my level-eight Dark Tuner Catastrogue!
- [Dark Tuner Catastrogue 0//L8/]
- Yusei: A *dark tuner*?!
- Drone 2: Yes! Now, Dark Tuner Catastrogue, use your power to extinguish the light by absorbing the energy of Blizzard Lizard! Let the dark shadows rise!
- (Catastrogue dematerializes into its eight stars, as though starting a normal tuning, and they surround the remaining Blizzard Lizard.)
- Drone: Hmhmhm! The shadows wield a power like nothing you've ever seen!
- (The eight stars plunge into Blizzard Lizard's skin, and it appears to be stuffed or immobilized before changing to outlines. The stars combine with each other, vanish, and reappear as five dark stars; the Lizard disappears.)
- Yusei: The stars just turned dark, what's that all about!
- Drone 2: The light is being consumed by the shadows! Whereas you combine your monsters to make them more powerful, my monsters feed off one another and absorb each other to create *negative* energy!
- Yusei: Wait- that's the same kind of synchro-summon that Cortez also told me about.
- Drone 2: Wee, Yusei! The monster I'm summoning is a negative level five!
- Yusei: Ah! No way!
- (Drone 2 spreads his arms, the five dark stars swirling around him.)
- Drone 2: When the shadows are devoured by even darker shadows, the curtain pulls back and reveals-- a world without light! Come forth-- Frozen Fitzgerald!
- [Frozen Fitzgerald 2500//L-5/]
- Yusei: So Cortez was right! A dark synchro-summon!
- (Carly's car burns rubber up to the building and brakes on two wheels; Carly leaps a fence, doing a split, and runs toward what she saw)
- Carly (think): Soon, the whole world will know what Goodwin's trying to hide!
- Drone 2: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....!
- Yusei: I've gotta figure out how to beat this shadow drone, or I won't be lucky like Cortez was!
