If we both can feel how the wind blows,
then I wonder if this same wind that I feel has reached even you?
I grasp tightly the empty, broken words that I believe so
as the azure sands fall.

Faced with an unwanted, unexpected miracle,
I wept at my weakness; at my inabilty to shed a tear.
At the coming of the dawn wherein is neither reward nor retribution;
without even glancing back, I continue to wander and waver.

人は誰も 螺旋の遥かを
求め喘ぎ 心焦がすもの
辿る愛の 軌道揺らす
Man continues to search for what lies far beyond the spiral.
Panting heavily as they yearn and hope; an existence whose heart burns and scorches.
Following the path laid by affection, though its trajectory ever changes.

逸(はぐ)れた星は睡(ねむ)る
エトランゼの夢
The straying star falls into a slumber;
dreaming the dream of Etranger.


独り立ち惑う夜明けを
貴方なら迎えるでしょうか
煌(きら)めきの渦 刹那へと消え逝く
紅い羽根が堕ちる
Greeting the dawn as I froze in silence, deep in thought;
are you now welcoming the dawn as I am?
The swirl of sparkles disappears in but a moment,
as the crimson feathers fall.

許し合いの記憶
移ろう景色(いろ)に 泣いた
振り切れない 青星の灯を
遮(さえぎ)ることなく流離(さすら)い背負う
Faced with the memories of exchanging mercy with one another,
I wept at the changing scenery before me; at their fading colors.
Unable to shake off and obstruct
the blue shine of Sirius*, I am burdened with the duty to continue my wandering.

人は誰も 螺旋の彼方を
愁(うれ)い歎(なげ)き 心乱すもの
投げる愛の 行方知れず
Man continues to look for what lies on the other side of the spiral.
Drowning in sorrows as they lament; an existence whose heart is ever in disorder.
Casting affection, though not knowing where they may end up.

瞬く星は翳(かげ)る
エトランゼの夢
The flickering star becomes hidden away in the darkness;
dreaming the dream of Etranger.


行き場の無い痛み
箍(たが)の強さに 泣いた
耐え切れない 歯車の齟齬(そご)
定めることなく 流離(さすら)い果てる
Faced with pain and none to soothe it,
I wept at the strength of my restraint; my reason.
Unable to endure the discrepancy within the turning gear-wheels;
without being able to decide for myself, my wandering ends.

人は誰も 螺旋の永さを
怖れ焦り 心揺らぐもの
Man continues to wander within the apparent endlessness** of the spiral.
Fearing as they are driven by impatience; an existence whose heart trembles and wavers.

想い馳せる 安らぎを契り
巡り会いの 騒めきを泅(およ)ぐ
Pondering matters beyond their own station; yearning for tranquility.
Submerged and struggling*** within the bustle of meetings and partings.

渇く愛の 鼓動抱(いだ)き
手繰り寄せる 最果ての華
まわれ まわれ 高く まわれ
Hugging tightly the beat of affection that ever runs dry.
Attracting; drawing ever closer to the flowers of the end.
Revolving; spiraling higher; ever further!

行き交う星は滲(にじ)む
エトランゼの夢
The fluctuating star becomes blurred and fade away;
dreaming the dream of Etranger.

*青星 lit. "Blue Star"
**永さ(nagasa) usually meaning length or longevity, the kanji 永 on its own also means eternity.
***泅ぐ(oyogu) seems to be a rarely used kanji. 泳ぐ(oyogu) means to swim, but 泅 carries the explicit meaning of being submerged within or swimming underwater.
