  2. Hi,
  3.
  4. The configuration editor when saved removes all values not in the template, this breaks a lot of config values that we cannot have an editor for.
  5.
  6. The file type affected is ini files.
  7.
  8. It should not be removing any settings.

  13. This only happens if you have "Read variable values from file" unchecked. When it's unchecked it will use the config file template every time you use the config editor.

  51. When you click on config editor for Game.ini it says it can't find values for lots of variables. That is why it uses the default template.
  52.
  53. If it can read the values it won't show this message and it will keep the original file when writing the updated values.
  54.
  55. The following variables could not be read: AutoPvEStartTimeSeconds, AutoPvEStopTimeSeconds, BabyCuddleGracePeriodMultiplier, BabyCuddleLoseImprintQualitySpeedMultiplier, BabyFoodConsumptionSpeedMultiplier, BabyImprintingStatScaleMultiplier, bAutoPvETimer, bAutoPvEUseSystemTime, bDisableDinoRiding, bDisableDinoTaming, bDisableLootCrates, bDisableStructurePlacementCollision, bFlyerPlatformAllowUnalignedDinoBasing, bIncreasePvPRespawnInterval, bOnlyAllowSpecifiedEngrams, bPvEAllowTribeWar, bPvEAllowTribeWarCancel, bPvEDisableFriendlyFire, CropDecaySpeedMultiplier, CropGrowthSpeedMultiplier, CustomRecipeEffectivenessMultiplier, CustomRecipeSkillMultiplier, DinoHarvestingDamageMultiplier, DinoTurretDamageMultiplier, HairGrowthSpeedMultiplier, IncreasePvPRespawnIntervalBaseAmount, IncreasePvPRespawnIntervalCheckPeriod, IncreasePvPRespawnIntervalMultiplier, KickIdlePlayersPeriod, MaxNumberOfPlayersInTribe, PlayerHarvestingDamageMultiplier, PoopIntervalMultiplier, PvPZoneStructureDamageMultiplier, StructureDamageRepairCooldown, MaxTribeLogs. The default value for these variables and the default template will be used. Previous configuration will be overwritten.

  65. Hi,
  66.
  67. The game removes all variables set to default values.
  68.
  69. It needs to ignore that and use set values.
  70.
  71. Luis Alvarenga || Staff 2017/12/19 (12:00)
  72. I see it keeps the current values of variables that it is able to find. These values are shown in the text editor and they are loaded when using the config editor:
  73. GlobalSpoilingTimeMultiplier=5
  74. GlobalItemDecompositionTimeMultiplier=3
  75. GlobalCorpseDecompositionTimeMultiplier=3
  76. ResourceNoReplenishRadiusPlayers=1
  77. ResourceNoReplenishRadiusStructures=1
  78. MatingIntervalMultiplier=0.1
  79. EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=16.0
  80. BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=16.0
  81. LayEggIntervalMultiplier=0.3
  82. BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.10

  92. Hi,
  93.
  94. I'm aware of that.
  95.
  96. The fact is it's removing everything that it cannot find, which should not be the case. These config files contain variables that cannot have a configuration editor for them.
  97.
  98. This never happened before the last update.
  99.
  100. Luis Alvarenga || Staff 2017/12/19 (12:24)
  101. It has always worked that way. You can downgrade if you want to test. If TCAdmin can't find a value for all variables used in the config editor it's going to use the default template.

  111. Hi,
  112.
  113. I'm not wasting my time downgrading.
  114.
  115. Can we please have an option to disable using the default template when not all variables are found, while still being able to read the variables from the file?
  116. The configs are ini files, you can read all the variables and merge the files together with minimal code.
  117.
  118. TCAdmin also seems to have issues in configs such as Terraria, where a config value may use two tcadmin variables, e.g. world save which needs the path to the world, and the world name.
  119.
  120. When will we see more performance improvements?
  121. As I'm sure you've noticed our panel is unbearable and we've already established in the past the hardware we use for TCAdmin and our Database is overly sufficient. We are grateful that you got some load times from 8 second to 4 seconds, but that's an extremely slow speed. Websites should respond in milliseconds, not whole seconds.
  122.
  123. Will there be an updated version of the WHMCS plugin? It's very buggy in WHMCS 7.3/7.4, the username field is never filled in, suspensions/terminations constantly fail and it's still using mysql instead of Carbon (using mysql instead of mysqli too).
  124.

  126. Hi,
  127.
  128. This really really needs fixed.
  129.
  130. Why can't the configuration editor just read the file and only change what it has to?
  131.
  132. This is happening with all configs, json, xml, ini. It's not that hard to fix this.
