Pokémon Battle Revolution | Any% Round 1 FAQ

What is this game?
- This is essentially the Wii's version of Pokémon Stadium. It isn't as good as stadium, but it's what I grew up with!
- You battle your way through different colosseums to face their leaders, and each stadium has its own gimmicks. For instance, Sunset Colosseum gives you random Pokemon to choose from, Courtyard colosseum has Fog in battle, Waterfall colosseum uses a 1v1 best of 5 format.

Why are you running this?
- Because I want to, and I enjoyed this game a lot as a kid

What are you playing on?
- A Wii. I know WiiU is faster but I don't have one unfortunately

What's the general route?
- Basically you want Nate's pass, complete Main Street + Waterfall to unlock extra passes in Gateway, then unlock Daisy's pass from Gateway. From here, swap Monferno from Nate's pass to Daisy's, and use this team to complete the rest of the colosseums.
- Monferno and Sneasel are insane in this game, so you'll mostly be seeing them with Bellossom, Lumineon, Golbat and Beautifly thrown in here and there.

What's the hardest fight in this run?
- Probably Tamara in Sunset Colosseum? Not necessarily due to low winrate, but if you get shafted with team lineups there (no electric types and she picks Pelipper) you're just gonna have a horrendous time.

What's the hardest colosseum in the run?
- I think Courtyard Colosseum because of foggy weather conditions

Which route are you doing?
- Beautifly

What is your goal?
- Right now just to finish a run, I'll see how much I enjoy the game first!
- There is another Northern Irish runner on this board though, so definitely wanna beat them

What are the grades? (A+/A/B/C)
- These are actually more for the benefit of the viewer, to see how good the segments were in my PB, with A+ being the best, and C being the worst. Shows easily that losing time to an A+ segment isn't that bad, but losing time against a C segment is really bad. It also allows viewers to see where I'm expected to be able to save large amounts of time.
