- She nodded.
- "Fine with me," Jaune clapped a hand on her back, ignoring her startled expression. "I said we were working together Neo and I meant it. If you want to stay here with me, then I'm not going to throw you out. Not to Cinder."

- "Hello Neo," Cinder's voice echoed in his ear, transmitted through the tiny receiver he'd attached to the back of Neo's clothing when she hadn't been paying attention. Jaune smirked as he took a slow sip of wine, listening to the sound of his roommate shutting a door. "So glad to see you could make it. We have much to discuss."
- "I'm sure we do," Jaune chuckled, pleased that he'd bought the trinket off of Coco, and that she'd shown him how to turn it into a single-direction feed. If Neo found out, then she'd be angry. But some risks were just worth taking.

He'd thought himself so sneaky too, securing it onto her clothing. The `training session` she'd put him through after had been nothing short of agonising, made all the worse because he hadn't been forgiven until he'd spoon fed her ice-cream in bed.

- He had gotten some information from Cinder, however. Even if Neo had known about him bugging her, she'd been willing to allow it for some reason.
