Ezymounts Email #4

No problem Mary,

I received a call today from Duncan Bridgeman of NZME and got a part of his response.

To be honest, it’s quite strange to hear them admit that their own employee purposefully published an inactive company and promoted it as the successful one... claiming that the entrepreneur did not want to publicise his actual successful company. Is it possible/expected that they will omit this fact when they reply?

The Herald even quoted sales numbers from last year for this specific company, ezymounts, even though it didn’t exist yet. Before they go under the paywall, maybe they should start a fiction column for this sort of manipulative reporting.

I have now sent the complaint through to the NZ Herald requesting their formal response.  This response will be forwarded to you in due course and you will have the opportunity to make a further brief comment at that stage.
