To make things easier start with Ben Dykes Traditional Astrology for Today, and after you have some understanding of the basics read Chris Brennan, then advance to the other titles listed above.

For Jyotish, Indian or "Vedic" astrology, the source text is the Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra. Most all other Indian texts (such as The Brihat Jataka and the Brihat Samhita both by Vahara Mihira) are abstracts from this. See the books of Freedom Cole for a modern, and easier to read, perspective.

This originally started as a post on 4chan /OMG/ as a response to a poster who wanted recommendations for learning astrology, my response consisted of the first part. Some time later as the OP was being revised I made the suggestion that an astrology pastebin be added. Since I had made the suggestion it was only proper that I also provide the content. This is the result.
