  3.
  4. >So that's the newly-built Battleship girl. Uwaaah, seems super strong.
  5. >Her expression's pretty scary.
  6. >Of course, she's one of the world's Biggu Seben after all.
  7. >That's Nagato-nee's sister?
  8. >Nagato-nee is pretty scary as is...
  9. >That really shouldn't come from you, Tenryuu-chan...
  10.
  11. >Pleased to meet you, I'm Mutsu.
  12. >Let's look out for each other!
  13. >W,we'll be leaving first!
  14.
  15. >I...did I make
  16. >a scary face of some sort...?
  17. >Mutsu >A-admiral! Thanks for your work!
  18. >Our Admiral's super reliable
  19. >and cool.
  20. >How is it? (this font is absolutely disgusting)? Have you gotten used to the naval district?
  21. >He's the person everyone looks up to and yearns for.
  22. >Is that so? That's good.
  23. >Of course, I, too...
  24.
  25. >In that case, make sure you get some rest before the next sortie.
  26. >Yessir.
  27. >What a kind admiral....
  28. >You're in the way.
  29. >Ah, sorry....
  30. >Kirishima-san...the shipgirl known as "the brains of the fleet"...
  31. >Well, she IS the Admiral's secretary ship...
  32. >[stare~]
  33. >W-what?
  34. >Mutsu-san...
  35.
  36. >For Nagato-nee's sister, you're pretty lax.
  37. >Eh...
  38. >What's with that hair color?
  39. >Your appearance affects fleet morale, so please be mindful of what you wear.
  40. >Geez, this person's quite the busybody...
  41. >I wasn't....
  42. >You...are interested in the Admiral, correct? I'm aware.
  43. >W-what are you talking about, all of a sudden
  44. >but how unfortunate, it doesn't seem like you're the Admiral's type.
  45. >Eh?
  46.
  47. >The Admiral prefers the intellectual, introverted type of girl.
  48. >The shipgirls who he likes are immediately called to the office and babied.
  49. >For a fuel hog such as yourself whose only strong point is firepower...
  50. >Your unpleasant gaze and thick makeup aren't exactly going to endear you, no?
  51. >>Is that short miniskirt of yours intended to be seductive as well?
  52. >I-
  53. >It's not like that...
  54.
  55. >How crude...a newcomer such as yourself
  56. >Should not be loitering in front of the office looking like you have some ulterior motive. Please take a look at yourself in the mirror.
  57. >Want to have a go at it? No problem.
  58. >Bring it on...
  59. >Kirishima-kun.
  60.
  61. >Are you here? Come in.
  62. >[office]
  63. >...pardon me.
  64. >And then--after that, Shiranui--
  65. >Eh--she said something like that--?
  66.
  67. >Uwahhh...as expected, Mutsu-san is scary~
  68. >Mmm...what a startling expression.
  69.
  70. >[No]
  71. >[I...it wasn't meant to be like this]
  72. >[I just wanted to, with Admiral and everyone else]
  73. >[Do our best happily and together.]
  74. >[Mutsu]
  75. >Onee-san...
  76. >That fiasco last sortie...what is going on with you?
  77. >I'm really sorry....
  78. >We are the world's strongest sister ships. Your actions today are no way to respond to the trust of our countrymen.
  79. >...What is going on?
  80.
  81. >I just haven't been able to get along with everyone...ehehhe...
  82. >Meaningless.
  83. >We exist to demonstrate our unmatched prowess in battle. With that and that alone, >the people and the fleet will naturally follow.
  84.
  85. >Do not do something that will disappoint the admiral...
  86.
  87. >Areehh--ain't that Mucchan?
  88. >Mucchan...?
  89. >S....shimakaze-chan
  90. >Wat'cha doin'? Sunbathing?
  91. >Mmm...? Uh, yeah, something like that....
  92. >I'll rest here a bit too!
  93. >Shimakaze-chan doesn't find me scary?
  94. >Eh? Why?
  95. >Why....I wonder....?
  96. >Mucchan's wiiieeerrrrddd~
  97.
  98. >No matter what other people think, no matter who hates me
  99. >Shimakaze will keep running, as fast as she can!
  100. >That's right.
  101. >There's nothing worth stressing myself about.
  102. >[We exist in order to demonstrate our prowess in battle.]
  103. >I am one of the BIGGU SEBEN. Love, friendship, I can't think about that.
  104.
  105. >I need to become even stronger...!
  106. >Ahh, a retreat?
  107. >You sure took a beating.
  108. >For the battleship known as one of the BIGGU SEBEN to return with such heavy damage, what...
  109. >Ehehhh? Is that true?!
  110.
  111. >It's true! It seemed like she pacified the -- Waters alone....
  112. >Solo...? No way...!
  113. >Mutsu-san!
  114. >AMazing!
  115. >A-alone...?
  116. >Mutsu-san's returned!
  117. >Mutsu-san!
  118. >With four enemy flagships as enemies....?
  119. >T-that kind of insane attack is unheard of! There's no way that the Admiral ordered this!
  120. >Don't just go on your own....
  121. >I received the authorization to sortie.
  122. >The Admiral trusted in my strength.
  123.
  124. >Now if you excuse me, I am tired. Could you move aside?
  125. >Mutsu-san!
  126. >Mutsu-san!
  127.
  128. >Welcome back, Mucchan!
  129. >I'm home!
  130.
  131. >Onee-san, she....
  132. >Sank?
  133. >We wanted to fight together with Nagato-nee until the end....
  134. >But Kirishima-nee stopped us!
  135.
  136. >Abandon Nagato and return directly to port >that was the order...
  137. >That person is cold blooded....
  138. >Letting Nagato-nee die alone in order to save herself without a shred of hesitation.
  139. >Did you really abandon her and flee?
  140.
  141. >Did you really leave Onee-san
  142. >To die on her own...?
  143.
  144. >....Yes.
  145. >It's true...
  146. >I....abandoned Nagato and fled.
  147. >I have a duty to protect this fleet...
  148.
  149. >To be honest, I wanted to rip you apart, right here and now. Don't you.... ever appear in front of me again.
  150.
  151. >S-suzuya.
  152. >'Sup?
  153. >Next sortie you're up. Make your preparations.
  154. >Yep--speaking of which, the flagship's Kirishima-nee, huh.
  155. >Annoying--
  156. >Ya gonna throw me out too--?
  157. >My word, Suzuya!
  158.
  159. >I can't do it! Leaving just Nagato behind...!
  160. >I will fight too!
  161. >You understand, right, Kirishima?
  162. >Even if we were to work together, we stand no chance.
  163.
  164. >If it's just me, I can still buy us all enough time.
  165. >Fall back.
  166. >I can't do it! Something ilke that!
  167. >If Nagato isn't there, what will the Naval District do?!
  168. >It'll be up to you--
  169. >From here on out, you will be the one to lead the fleet.
  170. >If it's you, it's definitely possible.
  171. >Live on, Kirishima--
  172.
  173. >[Nagato...]
  174. >[I...am not smart as you are, nor as strong as you are.]
  175. >Even if it's me, I am not nearly as strong as you think, Kirishima.
  176. >Nonsense! Nagato is the strongest ship, the one we look up to!
  177.
  178. >I am one of the Big Seven.
  179. >So I cannot tell you I am weak.
  180. >But that is because we have comrades we must protect.
  181. >It's that kind of thing that lets me be strong.
  182. >Everyone makes me strong.
  183. >Kirishima, one day you will understand as well.
  184. >It'll be fine. You'll become strong.
  185.
  186. >I, as a member of the Big Seven, promise you.
  187. >[Nagato]
  188. >[In the end I really can't do it.]
  189. >[I can't become strong--]
  190.
  191. >What are you doing, Kirishima?!
  192. >It sounds like Kirishima-nee screwed up again.
  193. >I heard it was just her too--just a little more and it'd have been a disaster.
  194. >Oh wow.
  195. >It's a bit pitiable to be called the "Brains of the Fleet" when she's like that.
  196. >After all, she was never anything amazing to begin with.
  197. >She was just one of the first Battleships, just like Nagato-nee--I guess it just got to her head.
  198.
  199. >Never liked that person too much.
  200. >Me too--just tiny thing and there she goes like a fire alarm. Makes you feel like going "who do you think you are?"
  201. >[For Admiral, for our comrades]
  202. >[Pushing on and leading on, no matter how hated I am]
  203. >[I thought about it]
  204.
  205. >[It can't be done after all.]
  206. >[I can't do it.]
  207. >[I don't have the strenght to lead...]
  208. >[Help me, Onee-sama.]
  209. >[The family I have yet to meet, floating who knows where on this vast ocean.]
  210. >[Save me.]
  211. >[Quickly come to me]
  212. >[I'm afraid that I can't go on.]
  213.
  214. >[If this goes on, I'm going to]
  215. >[B-break.]
  216. >[gasp x3]
  217. >[Useless battleship!]
  218. >[Onee-sama]x2
  219. >[Fake-ass ho (literally: master of masks)]
  220. >[WHY DON'T YOU JUST DIE?]
  221. >PLEASE >SAVE ME...!
  222.
  223. >Kirishima...my adorable little sister.
  224. >I've made you wait too long. Sorry...
  225. >Onee...sama...?
  226. >Onee-chan is here. So it'll all be fine, dess.
  227. >Why don't you rest a little?
  228.
  229. >You've been working hard, you know!
  230. >Onee-san has been watching this whole time.
  231. >You are an impressive girl.
  232. >A great sister who has never disgraced the Kongou class.
  233. >I will always, from here on out, be proud on your behalf.
  234. >Uu~x2
  235. >Uwaaaahhhhh
  236. >Onee-samaaaa
  237.
  238. >...Well then, who was it, dess--?
  239. >Who was it that bullied my dear sister?
  240.
  241. >(Is that Jesus Yamato?) Well then, today's fleet exercise hereby commences.
  242. >Battleship Mutsu!
  243. >Present! >Good.
  244. >Who will my opponent be this time...
  245. >Battleship Kongou!
  246. >Eh?
  247. >Kongou...?!
  248.
  249. >First ship of the Kongou-class--!
  250. >has been completed...!
  251.
  252. >Kirishima's sister ship--
  253. >It's you, right?
  254. >The one who bullied my sister Kirishima.
  255. >Bu...llied...?!
  256.
  257. >Are you going to try to pretend you don't know?
  258. >Isn't it more that your sister
  259. >did something cruel to me?
  260. >My elder sister was abandoned.
  261. >I will never forgive that.
  262. >Your little sister murdered my elder sister...!
  263.
  264. >We're done talking.
  265. >I'm coming...!
  266.
  267. >Guuuu--
  268. >This...this level...!
  269. >[Hayai! (Is this actually Dragonball)]
  270.
  271. >[This level of firepower...]
  272. >[So strong...!]
  273. >Ah, she has the upper hand.
  274. >Mutsu-nee can barely keep up...
  275. >I,it won't go overboard, right? If we don't stop them...!
  276.
  277. >[This woman...]
  278. >[does she want to kill me under the pretense of an exercise...?]
  279. >If you're angry at me, do it.
  280.
  281. >I'm not happy about it, but it's my loss.
  282. >To be honest, I'm the one who wants to sink you...
  283. >so that kirishima feels the same way I do!
  284.
  285. >Sorry.
  286. >Though it's sad, your Onee-sama won't return.
  287.
  288. >This kind of meaningless battle
  289. >will just create a chain of sadness.
  290. >The exercise is over, dess.
  291. >I have no grudge with you...
  292. >No matter what you say...
  293. >I...will not forgive Kirishima...
  294.
  295. >Mutsu-nee! >This is all a misunderstanding! (Fucking really?)
  296. >At that time...Yukikaze was unconscious from nearly sinking...so she doesn't know what actually happened!
  297. >What do you mean...?
  298. >The situation was basically this...
  299. >Although we knew about it, the situation escalated, so it became a little hard to say...
  300.
  301. >Kirishima-nee did nothing wrong!
  302. >Kirishima-nee, until the end, with Nagato-nee...!
  303. >Here should be fine.
  304. >...From here on out, you guys can make it back on your own, right?
  305. >Kirishima-nee? You can't be...
  306. >Be careful, everyone....
  307. >Please stop, Kirishima-nee! Even if you go back, it's already....
  308. >I can't do it after all.
  309. >I can't abandon Nagato.
  310.
  311. >I will definitely bring Nagato back.
  312. >So just wait at the Naval District.
  313. >That's what happened...?
  314. >She knew it was too late, but that girl couldn't stop herself from turning around...
  315.
  316. >Mutsu-san, please accept this....
  317. >This is...
  318. >A part of Nagato-nee's outfit.
  319. >It's yours.
  320. >By the time we got back to those waters, all that remained was just this piece of armor...
  321.
  322. >That girl may seem like that, but she's actually quite weak dess.
  323. >She wanted to give it to you directly, but couldn't do it.
  324. >She cried.
  325. >On our first meeting, my sister was sobbing with fear.
  326. >Because she could not fight the whirlpool of fate.
  327.
  328. >Because she is my family, I understand--that girl is very gentle dess.
  329. >You perhaps have realized it too, right? Because you're comrades.
  330. >I beg you. Please forgive the girl who could not save Nagato.
  331. >Protect that terrified child.
  332.
  333. >Big Seven
  334. >Because you are a strong person, dess...
  335.
  336. >[ONee-san--]
  337. >What a beautiful sea....
  338. >Nagato loved looking into the distance from here.
  339.
  340. >We, too, need to protect this scene.
  341. >mm. That's what she always told me as well.
  342. >Although I always felt like it'd be alright as long as Nagato was there
  343. >But perhaps it was good that we never said that.
  344. >It'd make her angry.
  345.
  346. >I won't lose.
  347. >I will become a battleship who will not lose to Nagato.
  348. >Because onee-sama and our comrades are here.
  349. >[glance]
  350. >Of course, y-you too, right...?
  351. >[Onee-san]
  352. >[Thank you for everything until now.]
  353.
  354. >[Do you see?]
  355. >[The ocean Onee-san always liked to watch]
  356. >[isn't it the same today as it's always been:]
  357. >[Blue, expansive and beautiful--?]
  358. >Owowow....
  359. >I written off today too...
  360.
  361. >You let your guard down again, Mutsu.
  362. >....so-sorry, Onee-san...
  363. >Stand tall.
  364. >I cannot protect you forever--a day where I will not be there will eventually come. >Don't say things like that!
  365. >If onee-sama isn't there...
  366. >I...
  367.
  368. >At that time, Mutsu, you are to protect everyone.
  369. >That kind of thing...is impossible for me...
  370. >I cannot become like Onee-san.
  371. >Aren't there many comrades supporting you?
  372. >THey are here now, and they will always be here in the future.
  373. >For our comrades, you must be strong.
  374. >It'll be fine.
  375.
  376. >As a member of the Big Seven, that is my promise to you.
  377. >Onee-san
  378. >I will not speak depressing thoughts.
  379. >Because I am one of the Big Seven.
  380. >I will definitely put an end to this sorrowful war.
  381.
  382. >Muc-chan~
  383. >With the comrades of this naval district--
  384.
  385. >Hi, I am (ching chong nip nong). Although I had plans to finish the "Seven" released in Winter 2013, I did not have time and so left a "to be continued" at a convenient spot. But now that I've added the continuation, it's become a 70-page novel--a first for me as far as Doujinshi drawing goes.
  386. >In the original concept, the one to abandon Nagato would have been Mutsu. To lose Nagato, her family and comrade, would have led to the birth of an even stronger mutsu. Regarding the soldier-minded Kirishima, although I had once wanted to draw something like this....after "Seven" was published, I thought that abandoning that plan and leaving it to Kirishima would be interesting--and so the story became unexpectedly long. But for something for all ages, drawing a doujin as big as this is a first. Plus I love Kancolle, so I enjoyed drawing this. If everyone enjoyed it, I'll be happy to. Well then, until next time!
