# Chapter 8 part 1 "Feast of Destruction (Graff part)"

Note: I differentiate chaos (lit. complete disorder and confusion) and Chaos (the enemy from S1) using "c" and "C".

**within Graff's memories**

Graff talked about the time after the Dark Flood happen, as you might have expected he doesn't have any memories before the Dark Flood. He lived together with his little sister, Sophie, in a remoted village. His job was to kill fiends and keep the village safe **alone**. "It is indeed boring" he described but he doesn't hate the fact that he can live happily with Sophie. Because Sophie is there so he can keep going and continuing this boring daily life.

Even though he has no memories before the Dark Flood but he knows that he's good with fighting so he didn't have any complaints about defeating fiends and keeping his sister, his village safe. The problems are about villagers though... "That Graff guy, he's full of himself since he's strong..." "He's the only one who can defeat the fiends just let him do it, don't need to let him get to your head..." are what people are talking behind him which made him thought that he's just a village watch dog for the villagers.

Even if he's strong, there's a limit to what he can do alone. Graff proposed an idea to villagers to create a vigiliante group but no one want to get themselves involved with danger so the idea was never realized.

Even if he was treated as a watch dog, he doesn't care since the village had people who he wanted to protect. Sophie got angry for him and they non-chalantly talked about making a vigilante group of two and let Sophie be the leader.

One day, while he was defeating fiends around the village, villagers went to him and told him that the village is under attack because he took too long strolling around. He hurriedly went back and saw village on fire, but the most important thing is Sophie lying dead on the ground.

- "That fool girl, thinking she was able to fend of the fiends"
- "She died because she doesn't know how weak she was"
- "Fool girl trying to fight fiends alone, if only she had hidden and wait for help"
- "It's because you were playing around that she died, You're the one that killed her"

were all the things people spoke to Graff. Graff was angry that no one had help Sophie fending off the fiends, why would people just let the girl fight and protect the village alone and just hide to save their own hides. People still trash talking to Graff and blamed him that he's the very reason Sophie had died and if he has what it takes or holding a grudge against them just try and kill them. "kill! kill! kill!" Graff raised his sword but then he realized that everything was an illusion. Illusion shown by the runes. He remembered that the one died on the ground in his memory is indeed his sister Sophie but not the current Sophie the rune showed him.

**Back to present**

Graff is tired of this illusion shown bt the rune. Why would rune show something like this, why does he have to play by this. He should just end this charade. No more sweet story from this rune anymore.

He continued walking with his wound and met the pink haired girl (the Sophie we know) the girl called her "nii-san".

Graff: "Let's end this, you were indeed a very important person to me in the story shown by the rune. But you're not my sister, the rune's story is already ended. Let's stop this charade"

Sophie: "I became Sophie because you called me Sophie. If you say that the story is ending then I should end you nii-san"

Graff realized that the person before him was an illusion and finally defeat her.
After he defeated the illusion, a dark man cladding in dark robe came.

The guy in dark robe claimed to be Graff as well, "I'm you and you're me". Graff thought that the guy is another illusion.

Hooded: "You're so cruel. You can cut even your own sister haha! I know it's fun right? Feeling your overwhelming power, getting to use it to kill things. I know since I'm you"

Graff: "You're just another illusion I need to end to end this story"

-- After defeating the hooded guy --

Hooded guy laughed. Graff asked him why he laugh.

Hooded guy: "Because you're me, and you've become this strong why wouldn't I be happy about it. Go on just kill me already"

Graff: "I won't play your game. I won't kill you"
Hooded guy: "you're soft huh? So then it's your turn then..."

Then Graff got stabbed from behind, turned out there was more than one hooded version of him. "We'll make you become who you really are"

-- In another place once he woke up --

Palamecia needs story. Story that can capture the heart of people, that can shaken the world, that can inspire the Hope. And that story of Hope needs "enemy" that possessed Despair. Hooded white hair Echo and Graff were talking.

Graff: "Just tell me what do you want? I know you want to use me. I won't become your pawn but I can become your accomplice. As you know I'm a man who only knows how to destroy and kill"

Echo: "Become the enemy possessing Despair and Destruction"

Graff has now become "True Outlaw Graff", the berserk version of himself that kills and destroy everything in his way. Echo told him that he needs to become the evil ("enemy") for story of Hope. Bring as much despair to the world as he can, the darker the darkness of despair, the brighter the light of hope. Palamecia is a world for creating hope, they want want a glimmer of fake hope but rather want a true sparkling shiny hope.

As Graff sets out to spread despair to the world, he started by hunting fiends. He killed every fiends that he ran into. He was way too cruel and fearsome that the fiends decided to run away from him. After he hunted down all the fiends nearby, Echo asked him whether he wanted to hunt humans next. He told Echo that hunting humans is no fun since they're weak and wouldn't even try to fight back and just run away. Echo then asked whether he want to massacre all people instead, introducing him to a dark rune. The rune of lost story, the one who once spreaded despair to the world, the king of chaos. "Defeat it and become the new king".

Graff touch and went inside the rune. He then met with Chaos.

Graff: "Let me have some fun."

Graff then easiliy defeated Chaos. He asked Echo whether she just messing with him, what a pushover king he said. "Fighting the king only once won't give you despair, now you need to kill all minions who serve the king first then you'll finally able to taste despair".
He then set out to kill 4 archfiends.

Defeating each archfiend, Graff had obtained power of chaos. After defeating all four, he went to fight Chaos the king of chaos. He repelled Chaos's power and finally defeat him. Graff noticed that the weird power he's feeling is actually originated from Chaos so he told Chaos to give him his power since Chaos is about to die. Chaos died. Graff now having dark aura around him and is now cladding in dark robe the same as the illusion he saw earlier.

"Oh, you really gave me the power. You're kind huh? Now let's make this world more interesting!"

-- Somewhere in another place --

Hooded white hair Echo was watching everything as it happens via crystal rune. "Good job Graff. Now Warrior of Destruction has appeared on the stage"
