  1. Name: Cray the Mercenary
  2.
  3. Gender: Male
  4.
  5. Appearance: Around 6'0" tall with black hair, seemingly tanned skin, fierce red eyes, and rather heavily-scarred appearance. He normally wears what looks like a mix between an unknown type of metal as well as leather armor and is usually seen carrying a claymore on his back and has a pair of gauntlets with seemingly runic-like designs on them. He also wears a metal helmet that generally hides his facial appearance (Which obviously marks him as one of the multiple versions of the traveler).
  6.
  7. Personality: He seems to be quite talkative and friendly when you first meet him but if asked about his past will quickly change the subject, he seems to carry a heavy weight with him, as if he saw something beyond horrifying in the past but refuses to talk about it. Also he carries a great hatred and aversion for a number of people which carry the title of "Azaral" and generally tries to avoid said people.
  8.
  9. Bio: He was once known as the Traveler, a person who traveled across the athiverse and had multiple adventures in debauchery and other adventures. This changed however when he decided to help the spirit of a guy named Azaral. This azaral tricked him and took him over and proceeded to use his immense power to make reality his bitch. As the deity used his new vessel to tear into the very fabric reality, a figure emerged from one of the tears, the figure had six eyes, similar to a spider, and seemed to stare into the deities soul. After a moment of staring, the figure gained a disgusted look on its face and then proceeded to carry out unspeakable and horrible acts upon the deities new form. His destruction was so thorough and so great that this azaral themselves were destroyed, however the traveler's soul was scattered across multiple universes and timelines. For milennia the pieces slowly came back together, reforming the traveler bit by bit until they were finally whole again.

  11. They were however, horrified by what had happened and after vowing never to deal with any version of azaral and never to speak of what they saw again, they went to the very entity that cursed them with immortality to begin with and asked of them if they could break the seals upon their power and rip all the souls that were trapped within his body away from him, leaving only his own soul. Death said that they could but said that it would come at a price as the being revealed it's thr-so basically traveler literally got fucked by death itself and was death's whore for a little while and in exchange for this act they broke the seals and traveler screamed as he felt all the souls, the source of much of his ungodly amount of power, rip away from him, leaving only his own soul.
  12.
  13. He swore off of using the magical arts he used before and sought a new way to use his power, he looked far and wide across the athiverse before he finally found a warrior-mage who taught him how to access the elemental forms of fire, wind, water, and earth from the aether itself and use it to buff his own physical attacks and strength. So with these new skills in hand he forsook the title of traveler and took on the name of Cray as underneath the tutelage of the warrior-mage he became a master of armed combat and mastered the art of wielding a claymore. He created a pair of gauntlets through which he could channel his new abilities and now travels the athiverse once more, this time peddling his services as a mercenary for hire to anyone who would hire him. Trying to forget his past and start anew.
  14.
  15. Abilities: In all departments he excels expectations, near super-human levels of strength, agility, speed, and endurance he's able to take massive blows in combat and keep going. He's a master at wielding his claymore and is well feared among many battlefields due to his tendency to carve through the opposing side like a cleaver-wielding demon out of hell. He can also harness magic to buff his physical attacks, temporarily enchanting his sword with said elements on the fly as well as his gauntlets and his own body if need be. With this he can enhance his strength, speed, agility, striking power, and other such things beyond their normal levels. He is a master at close physical and magical combat and shows it as such. He can also throw basic fireballs/lightning/wind bursts/etc. etc. He is immortal in the sense that when he dies he will eventually revive due to the fact death refuses to claim his soul due to a promise made long ago.
  16.
  17. The Armor of Heaven and Hell: However, when death finally ripped the souls from Cray, he told him that the souls would not just simply go away, so he sealed all of the souls into a set of armor which he then gave to Cray. This armor when worn increases his abilities by a hundredfold for a couple of minutes. He becomes seemingly immune to damage and goes full beserker insane but the armor does not actually heal his wounds, all it does is hold his body together in one piece. If he were to take enough damage to die while wearing the armor, when the armor deactivates he will die. This armor is actually seemingly integrated perfectly into his normal armor and can activate if he only thinks about it. He only ever uses it as a last result however.
  18.
  19. Weaknesses: He's learned how to compesate for his mental weaknesses by having a mental shield up at all times, however since he's focused more on close melee combat he's become much weaker at a ranged distance and only has one ranged ability through the fireballs and such, they are however easy to dodge if one sees them coming and not that powerful compared to his other abilities. Since having the souls removed he is actually much weaker and can't use powerful magic anymore although he's compensated for this with heavily heightened close combat abilities.
