sumi is a ordinary girl in jeju who likes to help her father in the family's tangerine farm. the farm is really huge and successful that made the lim family weathly but they were as humble as ever.

she got interested on being an idol when she an entertainment company offered a her to be a trainee. she was interested in the kpop world and a fan taeyeon. she started by covering songs of bts, exo, iu, taeyeon, dean and even foreign artist such as alessia cara, troy sivan and much more. she posted those covers on youtube that gained her popularity and recognition by an entertainment company.

sumi was bullied physically and mentally before because of her nerdy like personality and appearance in middle school. she had chunky glasses, always having her hair braided in 2 and was really quiet that made her an easy target. while her twin brother was the school's most handsome guy. eventhough her brother was popular, that didn't stop the bullying, infact it became worst. bullies once tried to force sumi to strip but luckily her brother was there to save her before an item of clothing was of her body. after that experience sumi had a trauma against bullies.

after moving to a new high school, sumi changed her personality and appearance, with the help of suhyung. she gained new friends and had a better life.

sumi's pov
i posted cover videos on youtube only for fun. posting a few times a month but it slowly became a big deal for me to post videos every now and then. after being casted, i relised how trilling it is to be an idol, after watching kpop idols perform on stage amazed me and gave me the motive to be a kpop idol.

she would have mixed emotions and don't know how to react at first. with  a blank face she would calmly walk out of the room acting like she don't care but inside she felt like her world was torn apart.

sumi would first sit quietly, thinking that she wasn't the one called. but after seeing stares from the other contestants, she soon realized that she was one of the top seven. while asking, "it's me?" and pointing at herself, she would still be at that very spot not budging as she doesn't believe that she won one of the top seats. sumi would be shocked, having mixed feelings and was speachless. at the seat she would try to keep calm but soon broke out to tears in that very seat.
