Daisy was born in Toronto, Canada. Her mother, Kwon Seunghee/Sheila Kwon was an illustrator and her father, Kwon Dohyun/Daniel Kwon was the coach of an Ice Hockey team. Her father brought her up to be an Ice Hockey player and taught her how to play and trained her throughout her life.
Daisy had always wanted to visit South Korea and discover her origins, but her parents could never go there on a holiday as they were both always busy with work. But one day, when she was 9 years old, her parents surprised her on her birthday and told her that they were going to go to Seoul later in the year. She was very happy about it and when they did visit, she loved it so much and set her heart on living there in the future.
When she was 16, Daisy moved to Myeongdong, Seoul. She joined an Ice Hockey Team there and went on to study art in school.
