  1. The seas were calm as anything else. People were going about their business on that metallic deck like it was their job. In fact, it was their job. Their pride and joy, their light in the darkness of sorts.
  2.
  3. "Was" being the key word.
  4.
  5. Their cargo was simple: shipments of spices going towards the merchant port of Attuthaya. Get there, drop off the cargo, get paid, head back and relax for a month. Simple and easy, really. Just a simple "there and back in time for supper" sort of scenario. That is, up until when the crew started to get pulled to their watery graves at port. At first, the captain was confused as to what was happening: while people were hauling their cargo out, some would just seem to vanish, leaving nothing but the cargo they were bringing in on the dock. After finding out what in the world was going on, the captain decided to get some info from the locals; legends, lore, myths, anything that would be able to help explain why such a thing was happening.
  6.
  7. "You've no' 'eard abou' the giant-arse flapper tha' loves 'ere, ye? Some ruddy cult tried somefin' a long while back. Worship i' as their ruddy god, they do. Call i' 'Maregho Saino' or some shite like tha'. All I know's is this: y' keep yer' ruddy arse off the docks as best y'can, ye ken?"
  8.
  9. The captain, rightly worried about the safety of his men, rushed back towards the docks to get to the ship. When he got there, however, there wasn't a single person in sight. Normally, his crew were all abound on the deck, fixing up everything they could get their hands on while making sure that they were keeping themselves sane. Nothing was there now, and it was absolutely maddening.
  10.
  11. FWOOSH FWOOSH FWOOSH
  12.
  13. The captain only had a split second to look around to figure out what that sound could be... He saw a flash of green, felt something pierce his shoulders, and the next moment, he was gone.
