  1. On a small tiny stage
  2. On the outskirts of town
  3. Jester seeks to engage
  4. The hysterical crowd
  5.
  6. His attire half torn
  7. Stitched from rags, new and old
  8. Shoes are horribly gone
  9. Slightly covered with mold
  10.
  11. With a face painted white
  12. Nose all shining bright red
  13. All eyes fills with delight
  14. Hope of joy to be had
  15.
  16. He will start without pause
  17. Watch him stumble and fall
  18. As a round of applause
  19. Reach the roof of the hall
  20.
  21. Every stare is on him
  22. Every laugh is his own
  23. Nimble, clever yet dim
  24. Fully free from control
  25.
  26. With illustrious smile
  27. To the crowd he adores
  28. He will bow with a style
  29. As the curtains will close
  30.
  31. As his sweat melts his paint
  32. Panting, shaken and stirred
  33. He will stand and await
  34. Till his breath has returned
  35.
  36. With his weariness loom
  37. Without further ado
  38. He emerged in his room
  39. So well hidden from view
  40.
  41. Just a quick turn of a key
  42. And again like before
  43. His heart fills with such glee
  44. As he locks down the door
  45.
  46. Once again given choice
  47. He was up to the task
  48. It's his time to rejoice
  49. Soaring high and to bask
  50.
  51. Yet he's suddenly flushed
  52. As his eyes gleaned a light
  53. From the mirror he smashed
  54. With his fists just last night
  55.
  56. Flesh and bone freezing cold
  57. Skin is pale turning white
  58. And fear slowly takes hold
  59. As the glee turns to fright
  60.
  61. Empty struggles to breathe
  62. Hopeless, helpless and bound
  63. But there's no one to heed
  64. And there isn't a sound
  65.
  66. Trembling leaf in a breeze
  67. And without knowing how
  68. He finds he's on his knees
  69. His lips mumbling down
  70.
  71. Oh sweet Father, my God
  72. Please, I beg, can you hear?
  73. I know, I was too bold
  74. Said some things I don't mean
  75.
  76. I was angry, I thought
  77. You're obtuse, you're reserved
  78. I thought my given lot
  79. Wasn't what I deserved
  80.
  81. I know silence your thing
  82. I know I have trespassed
  83. I'm unworthy to think
  84. That I can even ask...
  85.
  86. I'm a wretch but I swear...
  87. Just one time, would you try?
  88. Would you hear out my prayer?
  89. Would you heed to my cry?
  90.
  91. Would you listen to me?
  92. Of all claims I'm left one
  93. I would not claim to be
  94. Anymore then your son
  95.
  96. I've not sinned! Told no lie!
  97. Done no wrong! I've been good!
  98. Fed the poor! All my life
  99. Cared for misunderstood!
  100.
  101. I'm afraid! I'm alone!
  102. In this dark, I can't see.
  103. Father, please, let me know
  104. You have purpose for me
  105.
  106. I can't know what you plan
  107. I am measly your tool
  108. Mend my mind of a madman!
  109. Ease my heart of a fool!
  110.
  111. Father, please, make me whole
  112. I... broke down... I'm in pain!
  113. Cast your light, save my soul!
  114. Give command - I'll obey!
  115.
  116. Simply grant me a sign
  117. Just this once, don't ignore...
  118.
  119. Bursting laughter outside
  120. Filled his room through the door.
  121.
  122. With his eyes full of tears
  123. His flesh tearing from bone
  124. Jester saw through his years
  125. And his laugh reached the hall.
  126.
  127. Time flows by,
  128. As it does, gently claiming each soul.
  129. Puny jesters may cry
  130. But the show carries on.
  131.
  132. On a small tiny stage
  133. On the outskirts of town
  134. Jester seeks to engage
  135. His hysterical crowd
