  1. Before you read this big dumb essay of my point, the main idea is I want to fix the tale and GoI pages so people actually want to write content for them.
  2.
  3. As an example, the GoI page. It's horrible. Vague guidelines of what constitutes a new GoI, very basic interpretations of how those groups work. It's the reason why we have groups like the ORIA and such seen as useless, because compared to the other groups on the list, there is hardly any material about them. I think that we as a community can do better than a simple rogues gallery. We'll give a general history, modus operandi, and the history of not only how the group has collaborated or interacted with the Foundation, but how it has done so with other groups of interest. Make them a whole lot more fleshed out.
  4.
  5. The page organization will be an in-character threat assessment of these groups, based on the out-of-character amount of material associated with each group. Groups like the ORIA, who don't have much activity at all, might be listed as defunct, or at the very least weakened. This could easily be updated if the groups became more popular. The endgame is to revamp the GoI content and make them more attractive to new and veteran writers. Keep their essence, but make them bigger. Oh, and we should distinctly NOT make it so people are writing SCPs with a slightly tweaked format from the perspective of a GoI.
  6.
  7. The tales page is being worked on, and once it's been updated, we'll have an easier time categorizing and organizing tales by GoI. We can better flesh them out and make them work.
  8.
  9. So what I basically think this proposal boils down to is fixing the non-SCP index parts of the site and adding more content to the parts of the site that aren't about the SCP Foundation organization. They won't be held above our mainlist content, but they should be promoted somewhat. Enough so that people notice, and read them. It'd make the setting more interesting for readers and writers.
