  1. I prefer werewolves but they are underutilized and such. Skyrim is a good example
  2.
  3. In Skyrim, being a werewolf lets you turn into a brute (after a length scene and with no one around). It's fun but...
  4.
  5. A vampire gives you abilities in your normal form AND lets you turn into something which can either float around casting spells to kite enemies, or rip them to shreds like a werewolf. Vampire lets you benefit even without transforming, with abilities which best work for a mage but complement many play-styles. The transformation is also more versatile and fun by providing two modes to deal with what is around you and one of which is basically being a werewolf, if not better with supernatural reflexes. If being a werewolf gave you bestial abilities in human form, which while best suited for a fighter but could be of benefit to anyone (like a dash, clawed ripostes, or super speed or whatever), it would be better. The transformation could just be a hulk mode for an otherwise swift and strong wildman.
  6.
  7. I like playing Mages, Assassins, Rangers, speedy or ranged strikers. Turning into a Brute clashes usually, but would be a fun twist if I could do stuff which complemented my human form better.
  8.
  9. And the transformations are just not just not that convenient (explained above) and underwhelming after you level up a lot.
