- Humanity's Reprise, a human rebellion against imperialism and monarchy which is attempting to establish a democratic government in the wake of the human diaspora caused by the destruction of humanity's largest kingdom, which was hexed into oblivion by some weird alien ghosts. Very numerous faction with a lot of resources
- Ghazka Ravine: a ravine deep inside of a volcanic desert in the far, far reaches of the world, known to contain the majority of the strange and reclusive clockwork creatures; despite their relative obscurity, they're responsible for some of the most recent worldwide technological advancements, such as rudimentary electricity
- Anz Vaskhul: a faction of animated armors made from the souls of warriors in conquered towns which are tortured into becoming a blank slate, onto which the worship of Nailaxkha, a very evil god, is then impressed. they live bare lives, allowed no joy or art, and exist primarily to attempt to conquer everyone else and wipe out all other gods and burn the world with nailaxkha's divine fire so as to sacrifice it to her and allow her to ascend
- the Khesil Tribes: an interconnected system of tribes living in wide open, rocky lowland plains belonging to a draconic people known for their magitech and stern, but fair, isolationist nature. their society is somewhat meritocratic, and they tend to be distrusting of outsiders though not unwilling to interact with them, living in clusters of 50-100 people.
- vressian cities: a series of ruined desert cities that are at a very shallow glance are infested by wraiths; in actuality, these alien wraiths inhabit a sort of subdimension where these cities are gorgeous, opulent and fully functioning towns, and they appear and are fully functional to those who are 'invited'; very wary of humans, usually kinder to other travellers
- vos cities: and another series of metropolises these instead inhabiting the deep caves of var sarlir where few other races can survive for long without magic. these beings have a far more alien society than even the ghazka, with strange ways of life including endocannibalism, a reverence for necromancy and the 'bending of the cosmic rules' so to speak, and more. variously regarded as 'eccentric but harmless' to 'savage and amoral'
