KULT LORE, S2 E1 / THE GODS

Vecc: The gods, can you feel them?
They’re with us all, watching us all. I’ve seen them, have you?
You’ve known them for all your life. They light my path, even in this almost eternal night.



Vecc: My first encounter was when I first…“lost” my head..



Vecc: I woke up in the crescent meadow…and standing over me… Hecate.
With one look in her eyes I felt like I’ve known her all my life…and as she spoke to me..I realized I did.

Vecc: I couldn’t believe my eyes at first…quite honestly I thought I was still asleep in the meadow..and that it was all just a beautiful… beautiful dream.
But when she touched my hand I knew it was real. It’s always been real.
She bestowed the knowledge of magick and witchcraft upon me and she allowed me to see the ghosts that roam this place.



Vecc: Next…was Artemis.

Vecc: I was sitting underneath a Willow tree, watching the deer graze…when arrows pierced them all.
I stood up quickly, eager to punish the person that dared harm them. I took a few steps forward, scanning my surroundings when I felt a presence behind me.
I quickly turned around, ready to fire…but who I saw standing before me made me forget all the anger I had in me at that moment.

Vecc: Artemis.

Vecc: I tried to talk but…I couldn’t. She looked at me, an amused look on her face.

Vecc: I couldn’t help but smile slightly, yet again…it all felt like a dream. But I haven’t slept in months by that point, so it was no dream.

Vecc: She sat me down under the Willow and we talked…well…more like she talked to me and I listened.
She bestowed the knowledge of hunting, the wilderness, and wild animals to me.
Ever since then…the animals in this forest have taken a shine to me.



Vecc: Next…her brother.



Vecc: It was during the first petal sun..

Vecc: I had woken up to be greeted not by the moons glow, but the sun’s light.
I got dressed and dashed out of the cabin. I stood in awe…watching the petals float by, observing how calm every creature of the forest was.


Vecc: “Wow…” I said to myself quietly..



Apollo: “Wow…that’s all I get? WOW? I bring the sun to you and that’s all I get? A wow?”



Vecc: I looked out into the forest in front of me, trying to place the source of the voice



Apollo: “I’m behind you!”



Vecc: I turned around and there in front of me stood Apollo.



Vecc: “I..I” I stuttered out



Apollo: “You what? Hmm? Want to thank me for bringing the sun to you?
Jeez, all it took was killing a few deer to get you to swoon over my sister! …and all I get is a wow.
At least high five me or something!” Apollo said, crossing his arms



Vecc: “Sister…?” I asked



Apollo: “Yes! My sister…Artemis! She didn’t tell you about me?” Apollo asked, clearly a little bit annoyed…or maybe jealous



Vecc: “I never thought to ask…” I replied



Apollo: “Never thought to ask huh?
Well jeez if I knew you didn’t appreciate the sun this much I wouldn’t of made the effort of bringing some sunshine to you!” Apollo said with an annoyed tone in his voice



Vecc: “N-no! I appreciate the sun as much as the moon! I’m just forgetful…I apologize for being so rude.” I replied, hoping not to get my ass beat by a god



Apollo:  “Hmph..well…alright! I accept your apology.
Now let’s head inside to your cabin, I have much to tell you!” Apollo said as he turned around and headed for the cabin



Vecc: He bestowed to me the knowledge of poetry and medicine…

Vecc: and finally….Selene.


Vecc: I remember the day I met her vividly…every detail…I can remember it like it happened minutes ago


Vecc: I was laying in one of the many birch groves we have here in this forest…starring up at the night sky.
The moon was full that night..and I was on the lookout for shooting stars..



Selene: “Have you found anything yet my child..” she said softly, sitting beside me. I hadn’t even noticed her “It’s nice…the silence.” she remarked, looking at me



Vecc: I had sat up and slowly turned to face the person speaking to me..my eyes widening



Selene: “is something wrong child? I haven’t scared you have I? Though I think if Hecate didn’t scare you then I shouldn’t either..Artemis did scare you though..just a little” She said with a small smile on her face



Vecc: “Who..are you?”



Selene: “The moon…..as most like to call me. I am Selene, you’ve known me your whole life.” She softly said, her eyes almost piercing through me



Selene: “You have kind eyes child, I see myself in them. Do you see yourself in me?” She asked me,



Vecc: “Eyes? …Don’t you mean eye…? …my head..I don’t have my eyes anymore..I just have this…helmet.” I had reached up to tap my metal face…but what I felt wasn’t metal. It was skin…my skin.



Vecc: “W…. what..but..how?” I asked and looked up at her



Selene: “A spell woven by Hecate herself…you should be now be able to remove your head and make it appear as you please..” Selene replied



Vecc: “But…why..?’ I asked



Selene: "That helmet was made by Hephaestus and enchanted by a spell woven by Hecate..one that removes your..head…..
it was a test..one that went on for far too long……a mistake I’ve sadly made. You’ve suffered…for far too long..” Selene said



Vecc: “N-no..please don’t be upset! I didn’t suffer..if anything this... test of yours helped me grow.. it shaped me..” I replied, looking at her



Selene: “What we’ve put you through…and you still speak kindly about us..” she said



Vecc: “All my life…all of you have guided me. No matter how dark the night got..you were there. I should be thanking you..” I replied, looking down at the ground



Selene: “…you’re welcome child…
now come..you have much to learn..” Selene said, taking my hand and leading me deep into the forest



Vecc: Selene bestowed the knowledge of…well…I can’t say. ..I made a promise.

Vecc: Thats all for now...
