Welcome to the Nintendo Pipeline Rules and Guidelines. Please understand these rules are just the basic outlines - if you commit an infraction that one of the moderators or Administrators find is unacceptable to our community, and it is not listed here, be sure that you will be punished regardless, and the rules will be updated.

Please, follow these guidelines and be courteous to those around you - we here at Nintendo Pipeline take pride in our glowing community, and we simply don't tolerate those who disrupt it.

The Rules

Clause: I
Respect

If you have no respect for those around you, or you show a lack of it, there will be serious concequences. This statement includes the following infractions:
No "Flaming"
No Insults to any member, user, visitor, or persons outside the forums
No Religious or Racial Slurs

Clause: II
Conduct

Here at Nintendo Pipeline, we are a humorous bunch, but we have a certain level of intellect and maturity - we have users that are as young as 10, and they conduct themselves in an acceptable manner. If you are unable to do so, you shall be removed. Unacceptable behaviors include but are not limited to:
"Spamming"
Posting irrelevant topics/posts that have no value
Acting unintelligent

Clause: III
Religion

While many of you may be religious, we ask that you do not converse with other members about Religion on our site. We ask that if you wish to discuss religion in-depth here, you simply speak with whom you wish to off site. All religiously-directed posts and/or topics will be deleted. This is to keep all members happy, and to keep open insults or "flame wars" from breaking out.
No In-Depth discussion of religious matters on Nintendo Pipeline.
No Racial or Religious comments in your Signatures or Avatars in any way.

Clause: IV
Advertisement

Nintendo Pipeline is a growing community - we don't need people trying to steal our members away from us, so we ask kindly that you do not Advertise your website here. We do however, allow for affiliation. If you have a decent level of traffic, and would like to affiliate with the Nintendo Pipeline, please contact Hero.
No unauthorized Advertisements
You may post an image of a URL in a signature, but no hyper-linked images.

Clause: V
Content

The content of your signature and posts are limited - you are not allowed to post anything of the following ANYWHERE on the Nintendo Pipeline, in any shape, way, or form.
No Pornographic Content
No Extreme Violence
No Excessive or Strong language
No Religious, Racial, or Ethnic content

Clause: VI
Nintendo Pipeline Staff

The staff here at Nintendo Pipeline is extremely dedicated to keeping the community clear and clean, and they work exceedingly hard for you. You must respect any member of NP Staff, just as any other member. If you insult a staff member, it's an instant ban. The entire staff will have an input of how long the duration of the ban will be.
The staff are just like any member; you may not insult them
Do not pester the staff with spam - Only PM them if you want to talk, or if you are reporting something

Clause: VII
Illegal Material / Content

We do not tolerate theft, or any law breaking whatsoever. Theft is unacceptable anywhere, whether it's music, or it's an emulator. It's wrong, and will not be tolerated.
No rom, emulation, or warez talk. No references, no implying, or even stating that you own or use them.
No discussing Torrents that are illegal. Torrents are legal, just not the files you download with them.
No discussion of stolen Music, Downloaded Music, Stolen DVD or Video, or Downloaded DVD or Video content.

Clause: VIII
Bumping/Gravedigging Topics

While Bumping is a grey area, and some find it acceptable, and some find it annoying, certain topics are allowed for bumping. You may bump the following:
A Floated Topic - If the topic was meant to be unfloated, and you know that, report it - don't post.
A topic that was a good topic, and deserves to be revived - especially if something was unsaid that you wished to state.
Things that are not allowed:
Topics which are already older than a few days, and have already been cleared up, such as an introduction. Your post will be deleted and/or the thread will be locked.
Topics that are being repeatedely locked, or a post that was meant to be locked, but never was. If it wasn't locked, but it is low on the list - IGNORE it.
