>About Three or so hours have passed.
>Just now filing out of the theater with Tsubaki and the other patrons.
>Still light out as we leave but can tell sun is starting to set.
>"Wanna grab dinner someplace Tsu or would you rather have me make you something special when we get home?"
>Tsubaki leaned into me smiling.
>"I'd rather have something you made if you don't mind."
>"Anything for the birthday girl." I said laying my head against hers.

>Our walk home was a complete retrace of our path with Tsubaki insisting we walk down Holstin Avenue this time.
>She stops us in front of her old office building as soon as we walk past it.

>We're about 3 blocks away from home when one of them speaks up.

>Turn around to get a good look at who said it.

>Tsubaki's shrinking behind me as these guys keep getting closer.
>These guys seem intent on harassing us.
>Mind now racing at the prospect of a fight.
>I've got 'Anti-Aircraft fire' stuck in my head which isn't helping my thought process.

>I'm shaking as my mind tries to run how best to handle if it breaks into a fight.
>At the peak of this shouting match Two officers walk up behind the group.
>Two hellhounds, their black fur on black skin a stark contrast to their blue officers uniforms.
>Wondering why they're standing behind the men till the taller of the two speaks up.
>"You're not breaking your parole Seamus? You know the judge said you can't go around harassing couples."
>Smile as the pierced shit shouting at me freezes in place before turning around.
>The taller houndhound is looking at him with a hungry glint in her eye as she jots down notes on a pad she's got.
>"What do you think boss? count of disturbing the peace and another of breaking parole?"
>Smaller hellhound is grinning ear to ear as she's looking at these guys who only minutes ago thought themselves hot shit.
>"Margie, call it in if you would."
>Continue to watch in glee now as Margie talks into her walkie talkie.
>"Hey I've got a group of eecha eff why guys being lead by a male, five foot four, harassing a couple here."
>Instead of listening in jsut check to make sure Tsubaki's ok.
>Give her a comforting hug as we're watching these guys taken to town.
>"Excuse me folks."
>It's the smaller hellhound.
>"I'm officer Lin, can you tell me what happened?"
>Look at Tsubaki and before looking back at the officer.
>"We were just walking home when those guys started bothering us."
>Lin chews it over before calling over Margie whose seems to be continuing the intimidation of the HFY guys.
>"So what did they say?" Lin asked to her partner.
>"Seamus just lost parole and I'm seeing to that, I'm tired of having to baby sit that shithead."
>"Alright, the others we're bringing in two, call for a cruiser or two."
>As Margie walked off to call their dispatch Lin turned back to us.
>"Where you folks heading anyways?"
>"Back to our apartment, just a block or so from here." I answered.
>"Do you folks want an escort home or you ok?"
>"No we're fine."
>"Alright, have a good night you too."
>Looking over my shoulder as we walked away.
>Lin is making sure we're getting away safely before turning back to Margie who now has help from another pair of officers.
>Feel relief when we're back at the apartment.

>"A little shaken, I thought those kinds of groups stayed out of mamono dominated neighborhoods?"
>"They were probably there looking to start something."
>Duck into the kitchen and come back out with a small birthday cake.
>"For after dinner, speaking of what does the birthday girl want?"
>"Fried tofu."
>Chuckle and give Tsubaki a small kiss on the cheek.
>"Alright I'll try my best Tsubaki."
>Dinner and desert goes well.
>Sing Happy Birthday one last time to Tsubaki as I light the candles on her cake.
>Felt like nothing could go wrong while I watched her make a wish.
>Later that night gave Tsubaki her last part of the present multiple times.
