- [01:25] Valero Task says, "Err..."
- [01:25] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "I hold no doubts that Del would insult. Even so, they should have been given a trial. And yes, Ro?"
- [01:25] Valero Task says, "After Del's execution."
- [01:26] Ro says, "...That wasn't a fucking execution that was a murder."
- [01:26] Ro says, "That was fucked up."
- [01:26] Ro says, "Fucked."
- [01:26] Ro says, "Up."

- [01:26] Valero Task says, "You've."
- [01:26] Valero Task says, "Done worse."
- [01:26] Ro exclaims, "AND?!"
- [01:26] Valero Task says, "Shut."
- [01:26] Valero Task says, "The fuck up, and get off your high horse."
- [01:28] "It's not a HIGH HORSE. IT'S ME REALIZING MY FUCKING MISTAKES YOU SHIT HEAD!" The champion grabbed at the very collar of the young Task, lifting them with the shadows and giving a slight toss towards the rail behind them. "THEY FUCKED UP, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN EXECUTED AT ALL!"
- He was going further with that same anger, and anger that was only raising and creeping up to no end. That was when the claws of shadows started to manifest and 'crack' their knuckles to enjoy beating down someone. And he would if he wasn't stopped. "Humans... humans. I think I..."
- "I think I'm done walking like a man, because I can see how the evils of men do. The injustice that they do. They're no better than I."
- (Ro)
- [01:33] "It's mE realizing mY fUCkInG MiStAkEs yOu sHiT heAd"
- The moment Ro moved to grab his collar, Valero would instinctively dash back just a little bit, as he narrowed his one good eye on the Teraphim.
- "Human this. Humans that. Where was that when you slaughtered the people-, nay the innocents of Osrona?"
- He rolls his eye.
- "Shut up the fuck up. You're bitching, and moaning, if you wanted to do something, you should have done it. Instead you stood in the background, and watched, only opting to complain once it's over."
- He fold his arms across his chest, before slowly shaking his head once more.
- "You need to take a deep fucking breath, and reconsidering who the FUCK you are. Cause this? This ain't you Ro."
- With that, he'd simply walk off. The Teraphim wasn't worth his time, yet he halts for a moment.
- "Remember that this lecture came from an occultist. Get your shit together 'champion.'"
- With that, he was off.
- (Valero Task)
- [01:34] There was a... pause.
- His scarlet eyes would befall Ro as he grabbed his friend and screamed as loud as he could about someone being executed. It was ironic.
- "You killed thousands, murdered them."
- He already told Ro all of these things. How he thought about him and the other Teraphim, about their witch ancestors and how they were all cursed. Yet Ro... he changed his mind.
- But that thought was gone. He was no different, the Teraphim were no different.
- This was the final nail in the coffin.
- Alastor would being to walk away with Valero, yet he would pause and turn back to Ro.
- "I changed everything I thought about you after I opened up to you -
- Now? Everything I preached ago in the past is right. You and your witch blooded ass should leave Osrona."
- And with those words he would begin to depart with his friend again.
- (Alastor Hirsch)
- [01:37] As the Champion moved to grab Valero's collar, Romani would have moved rather quickly. As the boy was tossed towards the railing, Romani would have moved yonder, in preparation to catch Valero, yet the boy seemed to have stopped it on his own. A sigh of relaxation would then leave him as he looked towards Ro.
- "Rolim. I do agree that Del should have been given a fair trial by judges and the triumvirate. But I will also say this."
- "Del is a person who attacked the Baleford bridge. Del is a person who attacked our people, and more then once. Del is a person who I fought and saw would not change. So while I do agree, they should not have been killed at that moment?"
- "I do think I would have judged for execution all the same. We can not let people who would harm others without remorse just go around if they show no ability to change. I believe that Del was beyond saving."
- His hand would then move to Valero's shoulder, shaking his head. "Valero, you should not curse towards Rolim. I can understand him not being happy this was not put through a legal system. It was done improperly. I will not pretend it was not."
- His eyes glanced towards Alastor. A blinking towards his words as he spoke up.
- "Ro, you may wish to take a bit for yourself. I will admit all parties here seem rather heated right now."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [01:44] Those words? That stung. But at the moment, a lot of things were stinging him in the wrong way. Even if Alastor and Valero was right, the only thing that made him worse was how twisted and corrupt the humans were. Even if the Champion wasn't himself at the moment, that sealed it.
- He wasn't a friend of humans. He hated them. Every last one of them that refused to change to be better were doomed to be killed by him. Even if it wasn't today, there was always the next century, and the century after that. "No, Romani, I'm done."
- "Humans do not have a future. I may have made my mistakes. I may have the blood of witches in my entire body coursing through my veins at this very moment, but that? That wasn't justice. That wasn't fair. That was pure, unadulterated murder. Killed for REVENGE. EVEN OWYN died."
- "What about the kids that they had? The future for them? How bleak, dark it will be whenthey wake up and see that the place their parents were born in is the same place that killed them?" he asked as he takes a step away. "Humans... humans... you all..."
- He shook his head. He was tired, and he was in stress. He saw it all happen. "It only benefits you all when 'peace' benefits. Everything that has happened right then and there, that wasn't 'peace'. Even if she were not to change how she acted, never apologized... you could've taken her weapon, you could've took a finger, broken her, but they killed her without the LAW."
- (Ro)
- [01:45] Valero Task says, "Owyn is fucking alive you retard."
- [01:54] The Stellus would have stared towards Ro, shaking his head.
- "I disagree. Humans do have a future. That moment? It may not have been fair, your are correct."
- "But the heart of a human is imperfect. It knows pain, it knows sadness, it knows doubt, and darkness, and temptation. People will make mistakes. People will give into those emotions sometimes. People will fail to control themselves."
- "But that does not mean to give up on them. Because from mistakes? People can rise again. Rise taller. Rise better. Understand what they did wrong, and seek redemption if they do not commit the same sins. People can learn."
- "The lives of the children may not be the brightest. But it can be bright again if they do not follow in the same hateful footsteps of their forefathers. They can be better."
- Romani's arms would rise and move behind his back as Ro began to walk away. A small sigh would leave Romani.
- "I am trying to make it better. But some people will not accept peace. Some people will always try to disrupt it. We have been over that. Del was one of such, and I believe they were too far gone to save. I do not think taking a finger would have resolved it."
- "After hearing of what they did to my wife? I am in belief that Del and Alexander are people that may have to die one day. I have accepted that. Once that is over, then there can be more peace with Nysea, should they surrender completely. Because right now?"
- "They have not paid reperations for attacking the bridge. They do not try to talk to me. They slander my name, and my city. And that all needs to be fixed before peace occurs. Alexander is not willing to do it. Del is not willing to do it. But I have hope others will be willing."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [02:00] "Nysea doesn't even care about you guys, they're more focused on a one thing that you all forgot," he said quietly as he turns around, not longe facing the Stellus. "They're actively hunting witches and demons, and those dopplegangers. Everyone is cooped here, happy, and even though they have to pay..."
- He shakes his head, "It isn't the right time, not when the forces of darkness are moving. Not when the real murderer of Yersin is out there. Not when they are trying their hardest to get over the death of Odin, someone who wanted to talk to you one day."
- Ro wanted to be done right then and there, but Romani's words were giving him that little hint of strength. Enough strength to want to keep on one more day. Yet, there will be a time that he will be fully out of control of his emotions and be rash.
- There was no denying that at all, but he continues to speak with that sadness, "It's just a shame that the most beautiful moment that we can co-exist, is when we're on the verge of death as a whole. United we rose to push back the meteor. Divided... we're..."
- Another shake of his head. "Don't forget that we're in this together, Romani. Please."
- (Ro)
- [02:07] "You say that. And yet the children of Nysea speak hatred of me. Del attacks people like Valero on sight. They have me as kill on sight. They attacked Baleford bridge and have yet to apologize for it. You can say their focus is only on Witches, Demons, and Dopplegangers, but they make no moves to apologize for the wrongs they have done. Just because they are handling one thing does not mean they are forgotten about."
- "I would have been willing to talk to Odin. But they never sought me out. And Yersin's dead corpse was found in their town, butchered. But their people do not reach out. And things only get worse because of that."
- Romani's hand would curl into a fist, slightly raising to the Stellus' chest. He breathes in for a moment, recalling the words of the vision he had seen.
- "Detach yourself, Romani."
- "Ro. I will not forget we are in this together. And I do understand your disapproval towards the things that happened. But please,"
- "Do not give up. In fact, I think it may be you who has a part to play in bringing peace."
- "I would ask that you tell those of Nysea to send me a letter, or at least try to reach out. All this slander, all this seclusion, and trying to slide their misdeeds away without talking to those they wrong is just going to end up in more bloodshed if things are not corrected. And like you said?"
- "There are greater things to worry about. But for that, they do have to pay reparations."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [02:10] Detach yourself, Romani.
- Even the mere mutter of that phrase brought a smile to the Avitus's mug. Really, to see others taking to Asena's calling... It was heartwarming. For all he knew there was only one other Asenite on this large rock!
- Regardless, he had his own things to attend to. Those hazel hues turn towards the Teraphim, a tip of his hat given, before it's outright taken off as his gaze falls fully towards Romani.
- "When y' got th' time I need t' show y' somethin'." Yet that gaze eventually flicks towards Duck. Good GODS what the fuck did that boy get into?
- (Thalis Avitus)
- [02:15] Duck would limp forward steadily as his amber eyes hazily fell upon the gathered Ro, Ophelia, and Romani, nodding lightly to Thalis as he limped past them to approach the trio with a slow, staggered pace. Blood leaked from what was very clearly a hole going right through his torso, and a cratered burn covered a foot diameter oval over his torso.
- He had seen better days.
- And yet, his eyes would focus, falling upon Ro with a light huff.
- "They....always did that. In the....palace too. Say....they're doing....more than anyone. Say.....they're....better than everyone. But...it's just an act..."
- Duck would cough up a spatter of blood on the tiles, falling to one knee.
- "They....don't want...peace.....they never.....wanted peace. Not til…..they were too weak.....to fight back. But they.....won't apologize....Romani....Ro."
- Duck would sputter more blood, grimacing before his amber eyes flicked between them.
- "Just....like Alastor. They'd....need to feel....guilt for that."
- (Duck Quinn)
- [02:19] "... right now, Romani, Osrona is at a great place, and Nysea is on a continous downfall that will lead to darkness," he stated as he looks over towards the destroyed Duck, knowing how awful it was to be in that situation. "You need to not focus on reparations, at least, not now, that is my opinon."
- ... that was when he remembered the words of Mistake, how they were telling him all about how he was a lapdog. It was all coming clear. None of these people cared. None of them even worried about him. They all used him for something.
- It was horrible. It was so, so horrible. It was even worse that the only people that were giving him any moment of reprise was in Nysea, and to someone that he declared an enemy in his younger days. Yet, right now, it was on the opposite foot.
- ... perhaps he was just cursed to try to do things for everyone, and not for himself. Even when he wanted to be selfish, it just didn't matter. So, with a nod coming, he said nothing else. He was defeated. Done. Dead deep inside and gave up fully right now.
- "I will tell them," he said with a calm tone. "I will let them know. That is what I am good at. All I am good at."
- (Ro)
- [02:26] She had absolutely no idea what the fuck was going on outside in Osrona; Ophelia lingered behind the Teraphim like a quiet menacing force of nature. Frozen petals swirled around the Montclaire and she shook her head.
- Though her gaze did soon snap to Duck - and mainly the mess he was. What the--
- She quickly made her way over to him, though she held no medical knowledge and so... Her eyes wander to Romani.
- "... Romani.... He ah - " She gestures. There was concern in her tone and body language, but there was little she could do.
- (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
- [02:26] The words of the Asena temple, of the guardian, had stuck with Romani even after it. His breathing calmed, trying to ease his emotions out, trying not to see the world through lenses of red or zealousness. And it is Thalis' voice that brings him back to reality. "Of course, Thalis. I should be able to speak right after thi-"
- Duck limping and heavily injured would take Romani by surprise. Eyes widen.
- "Duck, are you okay? You are exactly right, they say they are better then everyone, and act on pride, but it will only lead to worse and worse things if they do not reach out and speak to us. They do not act for peace. I want them to, but I can not force them." His hand moved, holy magic gently starting to be used to dull the pain of Duck as he moved over, slinging an arm around his shoulders.
- "We are taking you to get treated. How bad is the wound?"
- But then eyes upon Ro. A shake of his head.
- "No, Ro. This is the time we NEED to focus on reperations. If they try to just sweep things under the rug instead of apologizing? It only go badly. For Osrona? We act as if we are still at war with them. They attacked us first."
- "And since they began hostilities with that bridge attack, they need to end them. Preferably before more people are injured or killed. This pride of theirs needs to stop and they need to speak with us, and officially apologize."
- "If they just scream 'Never surrender, we will take back Osrona', they can not be surprised when people are hurt or killed. They need to officially talk and end hostilities. Ignoring a problem is not fixing it."
- With that? An exhale. "Thank you Ro."
- With that? He would nod to Ophelia. "He needs to be tended to and quickly, I agree."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [02:33] It wasn't often someone just lumbered around with a damned HOLE IN THEIR CHEST. Yet he could respect the man's toughness. Hazel hues linger on the Rhoynish to make sure he could at least still stand for a little longer as Romani sauntered over to aid them.
- "I'll... Keep it brief after y' get 'em patched up. Ain't in t' much o' a rush, 'onestly, given I'm goin' t' be at least 'eadin' 'ome with a small group. Don't like travelin' 'lone anymore..."
- Pressing his lips into a thin line he'd give a slow shake of his head. Times were changing swiftly.
- "Then 'gain don't think anyone's goin' t' be doin' tha' by 'emsel'es in this kinda state."
- "C'mon though- I'll follow 'lon' inside."
- Pressing the palm of his hand towards one of his eyes he'd rub the drowsiness from it. Despite the recent events he found himself far more tired in the moment... He'd still move to follow, of course.
- (Thalis Avitus)
- [02:33] Duck was on the brink of losing consciousness, he'd clearly lost a lot of blood in his recent endeavors. Yet, he did his best to slowly, painfully force himself to his feet, wobbling a bit as his amber eyes crossed for a moment before steadily refocusing.
- "...Define....okay. I.....have a hole going through my chest....I think....all my ribs are broken......and my hole.....chest....feels like its on....fire."
- The watchman would offer a weak salute with a shaky smile to both Ophelia and Romani.
- "But....we tracked down.....the ghosts....of the Syndicate! Put.....them to rest......in their....old cave. F-found out.....my name. Put my....grandfather.....to rest."
- Duck would nearly tip over, trying not to splatter blood on Ophelia. That would be rude.
- "G-go team...."
- (Duck Quinn)
- [02:42] Romani would give Thalis a nod.
- "I appreciate it. And I understand that. People have been far too violent in the wilds recently. I imagine we have a lot to speak on as well."
- With that? Romani's eyes would look towards Duck as he wobbled upon his feet. Gold and blue eyes rested upon the hole in the middle of his chest. The first thing he did? Take out his medical kit and putting on the white gloves. Eyes lowered to the hole in the center of his chest, and Romani would begin the process of using alchol to clean out the edges of the wound. Disinfecting the area, holy magic would be used to dull the pain which he felt.
- "First, let us tend to that hole. I will say, it is not a good look for you. I prefer you looking whole."
- With that? Mythril thread would be produced. Like stitches, Romani would begin the process of sticking the needle into Duck's flesh and starting, very slowly, to few one end of it to the other end. The process for a whole this big would be long and painful, but it was better then leaving the entire wound itself unattended.
- The holy magic would begin to very slowly dull that firey intensity before hearing his words.
- "I am glad you put your grandfather to rest. But ghosts sound worrying. Human spirits in the realm too long can lead to corruption like the Wraith of Barsburg."
- A slight glance upwards is made towards Walter. "Care to fill me in on the whole details, reguarding what I have heard about?"
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [02:49] "One violent person bein' Del." Thalis clicked his tongue. Distaste was evident, but... That much was obvious given with the events that transpired. Giving a brief nod towards Walter he'd give his own cut of the story.
- "I was on m' way down t' Osrona when Del confronted m'. She said I was a traitor, a coward, 'n kept on goin' on 'bout 'ow they couldn't believe I abandoned 'em. They wanted m' t' explain m' actions, I did, 'n then I tried t' leave - Tellin' 'em t' get outta m' way."
- There's a soft pause as his brows raise, an unsurprised expression molding to his mug. "As expected o' Del, though, they went on 'bout cleansin' m' 'n takin' m' t' see th' Kin'. So... I fought. I captured 'em 'n took their staff."
- "Now, this is where th' Knight they 'ad came in. I told 'em tha' I'd be goin' on m' merry way with th' staff 'n they could 'ave their Stellus back. 'owe'er, if they attacked m' I'd take their Stellus with m'. So th' Knight attacked 'n... 'gain, I won."
- Reaching back towards his pack he'd rummage through his belongings. It's the one that, honestly, stuck out among the rest. A relic was in his hands now, pristine in its condition from the small star-shaped object atop its peak to its hilt. Perhaps one day his gauntlets would join such legends...
- It's held out towards the Stellus. "'ence why I wanted t' show y' it. Yer a Celestialite, yea'? If so then this belon's in yer 'ands. Th' 'ands o' th' Stellus I trust - Th' Stellus tha' ain't screamin' 'bout 'False Gods' 'n poisonin' wives for trials."
- "... S'useless t' m', but it'll prolly be better in th' 'ands o' one o' yer trusted."
- (Thalis Avitus)
- [02:50] Thalis Avitus says, "... Fer th' record though, Del attacked m' first."
- [02:53] Duck would grimace with genuine pain as he took steady breathes, the burns that lined his chest more than agonizing enough to challenge what remains of his consciousness. Yet, Romani's efforts were here; he was at least in good hands.
- As the alcohol cleansed the wound, he'd cry out in overwhelming pain, it almost too much to take for the young watchman. Tears dripped down his eyes, and his nose dripped with crimson ichor. The worst part wasn't the cleansing of the hole, but the contact of the alcohol with the burned skin.
- It could drive a man mad.
- As the needle threaded through tortured flesh and overstimulated, raw nerves, Duck would struggle to retain consciousness even as he offered a respectful salute to Commander Walter and Captain Arsali upon their arrival.
- Only when the holy magi began to dull the pain would he finally be able to take an audible, shaky breathe.
- "Y-yeah, I can tell you about it....it was.....a long story. But....please....my burns.....it hurts....it hurts so much..."
- Duck would wince. His eyes would then widen.
- "Spencer....she got stabbed too....I carried her back......to the temple. She's....resting now.....treat her....when she wakes up. Please...Romani."
- Duck sounded oddly desperate. The pain was addling his senses.
- (Duck Quinn)
- [02:56] There's a bizarre serenity to Walter's body language, be him drenched in blood, as well as suffering from a few miscellaneous battle wounds, there's no apparent tension to be found in his physical features. That deceptively refined face of him remains static in his response, as most of the expressiveness is committed to the kitsune's eyebrows.
- The second he's about to speak, a charismatically surging Thalis shares his side of the story.
- "That's... the gist of it, yes." His drowsy monotone echoes the Ookami, before he finally goes in detail on the transpired events.
- "Del mer Joyau received judgement under the basis of the Crown Law woven in the 1600s." Walter explains, quoting his own recollections from memory, same as he had before the Fake Stellus met their end. ""If the offended rented land, Excommunication is grounds for eviction.
- If the offended held a noble title, Excommunication is grounds for disowning.
- If the offended further commits a crime, the state of Excommunication allows Capital Charges to be granted for otherwise minor offenses."
- For repeated instances of assault - Del had been tried and tested under Walter's own judgement. He had stretched his rights and duties far beyond what one normally would, yet in context anyone with two inches worth of forehead size would've granted him blessing to terminate the zealot.
- "I had to execute her on the spot, Romani. I thought the outcome would have not only been the same, but the moment word spread that we had taken her prisoner they'd come knocking... I've experienced it before, I know how the function."
- There's a long winded interval of silence, as the unmasked commander seems to briefly sulk.
- "For Yersin… for Demius… I'll give them no quarter."
- (Walter Docro)
- [02:57] Walter Docro says, "It's only fitting that I gave them the end they would have given themselves."
- [03:06] "There was no saving Del. I saw it when they attacked the bridge, attacked the innocent people guarding it. And the more I hear they did, I will admit the more my blood boils. She hurt people, using religion as an excuse. She called us traitors, when they were they ones who ended our oaths. And they did that after you were freed, did they not?" A sigh breathes past Romani's lips, frowning towards the words of Thalis.
- "I wish we had held a trial on them. The verdict would have been the same, I imagine, but we could voice all their grievances aloud." A moment to pause, to think over it all in his minds. "Thalis. You did the right thing. People will have less to fear in traveling between cities, one less violent person striking them for little reason."
- However, what he was not expecting, was the relic. As it was extended to Romani, looking over it entirely, he gave a small nod. "I am a Celestialist. And I suppose now, I am the only Stellus until the west selects one anew. Thalis, if you believe it belongs in my hands? I will accept it. And I hope I will continue to be A Stellus you believe in. I will prove it in action, not just word."
- With that however? His eyes moved back to Duck. Holy magic would once more begin to dull pain as he focused it internally. The ribs that had been broken would begin to mend as Romani took deep breathes. A golden light encased them within Duck's body, but an arm moved around his shoulders and held him close.
- At the same time, bandages would be wrapped around his waist, starting to position it so that the ribs inside would not shift. To fully recover, Duck would need to take some time and let his bones heal from their brittle state upon healing, but over all? While the blood had damaged him and avoided his organs, Duck would be able to make a full recovery.
- "Of course Duck. I will treat Spencer the next time that I see them."
- With that? As the holy magic continued to work on Duck, Romani's eyes would look towards Walter, upon the features of the Kitsune. "Walter. We should have tried to have a proper trial for Del. When we have people like that, we should have them be tried by muitiple people so we can air their greivances and wrong doings. In that, what you did was slightly out of line."
- "That said, I am in agreement with the end result. Del would have needed to be executed. They attacked Valero and Thalis, they attacked Baleford bridge, and they spit hatred towards our people without a hint of guilt. I imagine the trial would have ended in executed. So in the end? You did the right thing, but the wrong way."
- "In the future, please allow for a trial. If they come for the prisoner, we should be able to defend it, but we should have had a trial, even if expedited. But now? What we need to do is contact Nysea. We need to air the grievances of why, as well as make a formal address to them. They need to surrender. They need to pay reparations. And if they are like Del, they refuse to for their guilt? We need to make them accept peace, forcibly unfortunately. They have attacked and hurt people for far too long."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [03:13] … Why did anyone want to be a leader when it came to stuff like this?
- As Romani spoke the Ookami's gaze wandered from person to person. A mass of people had come to bear news, need aid, but what did that bring for the Montclaire? Was it satisfaction in aiding others..? Thalis held a soft hum at that, but he eventually spoke once more.
- "Aye, the did say all o' tha' after we were freed o' our titles 'n oaths... Strange 'ow they ain't think o' th' other side, ain't it? E'en when I told 'em I followed Asena they kept pinnin' it right ont' Aschea." It made him sick.
- "It ain't m' call in wha' 'appened t' 'em. I jus' wanted t' make sure they weren't doin' th' dumb shit they've been doin' fer years now. Tired o' 'earin' all this jibber-jabber tha' Del's this... Grand, peaceful Stellus when there's barely an ounce o' weight fer their case."
- Regardless, a firm and resolute nod is cast towards his Stellus. "'n aye, I do believe it's better in yer 'ands. M' full intention in th' first place when I yanked this from tha' zealot was t' give it t' y'. As far as I'm concerned? Y'll always be m' Stellus - Y've proved tha' t' m' at th' temple 'n a while back."
- Should Romani accept the staff it's handed on over. A wide smile peels across the Asenite's mug. "Thanks fer makin' this place feel like 'ome. Really... Ain't e'er feel like this fer a lon' time." Letting out a sigh, however, he'd begin his departure.
- "Tha' bein' said?.. I'm goin' t' rest. T'day's been somethin' fuckin' else. G'night, th' lot o' y'."
- (Thalis Avitus)
- [03:13] {ITEM} Traded item with Thalis Avitus: Saint's Scepter
- [03:14] Duck would grimace with pain as his ribs were slowly unsplintered by Romani's aid, set in such a fashion that they could naturally heal with a bit of rest and recuperation. The young man was likely lucky he was a Rhoynish; a less robust Duck might have had far worse, far more permanent injuries.
- As the burns were tended, and bandages steadily wrapped around his frame, the young man would finally seem to begin to calm down, his breathe steadying as his overstimulated nerves finally were offered a bit of relief. It wasn't a dramatic amount, and the pain was still clear, but with his wounds tended.
- Duck would heal.
- "T-thanks Romi, you're a class act. I....uh....ow. Yes. Ow. Thank you....for treating me....and for her."
- Duck's wounds were actually far more severe than Spencer's, but it remained the only thing on his mind.
- "Trials....are good.....even if.....we know what we have to do......it's...part of....due process. The people....need to feel....safe.....in the legal system."
- The watchman would grimace.
- "I can tell ya....about it after all this Romi. When we're....back over by the bench."

- [03:26] There's a heavy overwhelmed heave that oozes out of the gigantic commander's nostrils. In sync with it, his eyelids slightly widen, allowing each of his emerald-tinted pupils to beam in full glimmer. His jaw, if only for a brief moment, noticeably clenches up in stress. As such, the reasons why Walter had opted to wear the mask were made more directly obvious.
- None had chosen to address his countenance, however. The contrast between his persona and true facial features was not only stark, but flabbergasting. No thug, warlord, bodyguard would generally look like that - though the longer you would dwell on it, use of a threatening bull terrier face would make more sense.
- Though he's about to bark back upon being reprimanded, the Stellus' words cast a dim light into his tortured psyche. Tension seems to subside for just a second.
- "Perhaps I was too hasty. But I believe it was a necessity, the longer they kept him on standby, the more chances to attack and retrieve him they'd have gotten.
- I tried to ground myself as much as possible - I just couldn't help it, Romani. What they've done to me... to us." Another interval of meditation, his stare looms over to his slowly recovering constable, simply for him to be regarded with a drowsy nod of his head.
- "Next time, I'll allow for a trial in protocol."
- It's only then where he disagrees.
- "No, Romani. We send a message of the same density as theirs. We're not only returning the Old Stellus' body home... but a memento of the Prince's life as well."
- Walter reaches into his pocket, retrieving a single item - exactly what he claimed it to be.
- Odin's eyepatch lies stained in old blood, dangling between the Warlord's fingers from the string. He snarls, then - clearly breaking into a notably more overbearing fit of character.
- "It's over - Romani. They've killed Yersin, my patience has run out altogether!
- I've made several efforts to establish good terms of mediation come the Meteorite Crisis! I opened the doors to a peace treaty, and how have they replied...!? They killed my brother, Romani!"
- (Walter Docro)
- [03:36] "They 'freed' us from our titles and oaths. That is what they say. Because removing the status of someone is 'freedom'. Because telling our friends and families not only are not worth attempting to save, but we are also not worth the ranks that we bore to that empire. That is not a mercy. It is only abandonment. It does not matter why they did it. They severed you after you were free. They severed Ophelia, then poisoned and declared her a traitor. They severed me, and left me to rot."
- The Stellus would shake his head, the sound of disappointment leaving him as he glanced up.
- "I agree. I am tired with hearing Del's words of violence, proclaiming so many people wrong. They do not listen. They do not learn. And Thalis, thank you. Thank you for listening to me, for believing in me, and for not abandoning me when Osrona did. I will do my best to be worthy of such trust. You say I proved it at the temple, but I want tocontinue to prove it. Proof is not a one time thing, it is something we must continuously strive for." His fist balled up, slamming into his chest before accepting the scepter and holding it. "Thalis, this is your home. One of them. You need not choose just one. Rest well, my friend."
- With that? The scepter would be taken, and used to further aid in the recovery of duck. Holy medical knowledge flowed through the glowing radiance, a staff adept at healing. It was the perfect tool to train more medical focused magics it seemed, and a smile came across his face. Even more of one as he saw Malia's magic soothe the pain with water.
- "You are welcome, Duck. I am glad I am able to help you. And trials are good. They show what we think, it helps process, and it helps everyone air what was wrong so people know exactly what not to do." Gently, a hand would pat the wounds upon Duck, the last of the bandages being tucked in as the medical work was completed.
- "I would love to hear everything."
- With that? He once more looks upon Walter. He watches that jaw clench, staring towards him, before Romani would shake his head.
- "Walter. In the end, you stopped someone who was violent, and attacking our people. One of the biggest threats to Osrona. For that, I thank you. I just think we should have done it in a more vocal manner. Del has wronged us. I will repeat that."
- " Del has wronged us. "
- "But we need to let people know exactly how she wronged us. We need people to know it was not something done just out of personal emotion, but because we think it is better this way, because people are at risk the longer Del lived. That is what a trial allows. I thank you for allowing one next time. But for this time, we still have to voice it. We have to be loud and talk about exactly why we did the action that happened."
- However on Walter's words about the same density? Romani would shake his head. Eyes stared towards the Commander.
- "They killed Yersin. We killed Del. They are in the wrong. But Walter? We need to better then them. We need to make it clear, and make demands. And they will meet these demands, or there will be war. I understand you are mad about Yersin. I am too." His fist balled by his side, small tears starting to reflect in his eyes in memory of the lost.
- " But he said 'And speaking of those enemies, I do not want anyone to worry. I know many do not wish any further war, or conflict. Too many threats as it is, and we got families split between here and Nysea regardless.' Yersin wanted us to try for peace. He wanted families to be united. "
- "So we must give them a single chance. A chance to surrender. A chance to make reparations. If they do not accept it, then Nysea will fall so we can have peace."

- [03:54] It becomes crystal clear to Walter.
- The stellus was the true beacon, and every word or inflection reflected it in full light. Now, relic in hand, his influence had grown twice it's size and drive. Silence befalls from the colossal Kitsune's part, since for the second time in transparency, Walter would weep in impotence and commotion. They had pulled three relative victories from their deeds that month - yet nothing would fill the vacuum. Nothing could.
- "I don't want to stop..." Walter cries out in a strained whimper, finally allowing vulnerability to transcend outwards. Earlier being trampled within his cocoon, these areas of his emotional palette had gone largely unnoticed. "... It's not just them - it's the King … the goddamned king will not stop, thus disallowing none of them to yield.
- So as long as any of their signal fires remains lit, they'll follow it in hypnosis."
- Walter is not like them.
- Walter is selfish.
- He's full of resent.
- He's the vehicle to a cause, and his personal ache is his fuel.
- It couldn't be enough. It would never be enough. There was no escaping the droning weight of frustration.
- "He's ordered the blade who killed both of my brothers. Lloyd may have been the actor to Demius' demise, but not the barer of the idea that led to it." Like a machine, the lightbringer had obeyed. Del, in her final ramblings, evidenced their doctrine further - thus leaving Walter all but satisfied.
- "Romani. Their terms of surrender will not be denouncing the king. I do not care if it's unreasonable…" Mutation, even in being vocal. "They are to surrender the King to us. We'll give him the trial and sentence fit for his offenses..."
- Though there's ache behind his viridian pupils, his stare remains mostly unwavering.
- "If they comply, they're to be awarded peace. That will be their penitence, for ignoring my previous diplomatic advances."
- (Walter Docro)
- [04:05] The Stellus would stare towards Walter.
- "I understand that. We are human. We feel pain. We feel sadness. We feel loss, and many dark things. And when things are taken from us, we hurt, and sometimes it is the type of hurt that never heals."
- His fist curls by his side. Eyes close, thinking over it all. Of the attacks on Baleford bridge, on the deaths that had come over the years, on the abandonment and denouncement of both Montclaires and Thalis, his friend. While his words were light, there was also a part of him that was still offended, still hurting from being treated like nothing more then trash to be discarded.
- "Walter Docro, I hear you. And where you ask for the terms to be the trial and sentence of the King, I raise you my seven terms for peace for Nysea."
- "We of Osrona demand these reparations for peace with Nysea, otherwise we march.
- 50 thousand crowns,
- the identity and life of Yersin's killer,
- the end of Slander against Osrona,
- the end of violence against Osronan citizens,
- Members of the Western Celestial Church to merge back under the Eastern Celestial Church and accept the Eastern Church's values,
- An official apology from the ruling party of Nysea for the assault on the Baleford Bridge,
- And the surrender of Alexander Petrakis for trial and sentencing at the hands of the Coalition, to take place upon Starfall tower.
- Failure to comply, is war. Acceptance of these terms is peace."
- "Do you object, Walter Docro?"
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- [04:11] She listens to the words of both, and to Romani's specific demands. They were...certainly demands. She puts her admittedly amateurish political mind to work considering the implications and likelihood, then shifts her attention to Romani for a moment.
- "Right. Stellus, do you want a war? I ain't asking in judgement, just to get your blunt statement, because I reckon two'a those demands are never gonna happen, and in the case of one of 'em, they shouldn't. Ya church and the Royalist church ain't ever gonna merge, I reckon. Too strong differences. And, well, they ain't gonna give up the King without war, I reckon. Although...maybe with the recent losses ya might."
- Eh, she wasn't sure. The yelling was a bit unnecessary too, but she figured he was just passionate about it.
- (Malia Arsali)
- [04:17] Walter, for as much of a hard-assed, no-bullshit type of general as he would have depicted himself to be over the course of the last two years, was now effectively exposed to his own physical coils of emotion. No longer would the masquerade's leather shield him from the outside or vice versa.
- Both Fritz and Walter had finished assimilating one another, thus giving birth to his better iteration. Could dogs engage in metamorphosis? Every inch of progress made that day certainly evidenced so.
- Tears continue to endlessly roll down his face.
- "Malia..." He mutters, addressing his lieutenant in a hushed, though solemn all the same inflection of his vestibular folds. Irreparably, they produce a growl. "They know they can't win... if we go to war, they'll be wiped clean again. They wouldn't have to embrace the church of three... simply Eastern Celestialism, meaning the belief that divine right can be revoked."
- His chin raises once more, this time baring twice the spunk and force of character. Fire rages on behind the prismatic layering of his olive hues. A fist comes into contact with his own chest as Walter pumps on it twice.
- "Romani." Boldly, now. They were surely going to war.
- "The terms are acceptable."
- (Walter Docro)
- [04:23] Romani would shake his head towards the words of Malia.
- "I do not desire war. I am someone who desires peace. I can see that peace is going to be difficult. However, The other church's values lead to them attacking Osronan citizens. They will adapt, or they will be unable to follow our other demands. The King? If the Royalists are not willing to see him tried for his crimes? Then they are unwilling to have peace."
- "I do want people to have to worry about being assailed in the wilds. I do not want people in Osrona to be bothered by Nyseans who preach of harming us, who insult us. I want guaranteed peace between villages."
- His eyes looked towards Malia, with a light in them. A true desire to see bloodspilling end. The demands may have been extreme, but then again, he had said it before, had he not? Holy magic was just as dangerous as occultism when it ultimately came to driving one.
- "Then let the terms be shared and known. We will also allow them to send one of their High Keepers to discuss the terms, but they will not be changed from what we have decided."
- "Nysea will either accept our peace, or will be made to accept our peace. I will accept the violence no longer."
