Mickey Mouse Gets Busted by Chris Hansen

[FADE IN]

[We see Chris Hansen standing outside a suburban house, which has been rigged with hidden cameras. He is holding a clipboard and microphone in his hand. A police officer stands nearby. Suddenly, a car pulls up, and out steps Mickey Mouse.]

Chris Hansen: [speaking to the camera] Tonight, we're in suburban Orlando, Florida, where we've set up a sting operation to catch online predators. Our decoy, who we're calling "Tommy," is posing as a 13-year-old boy.

[We see a shot of the decoy, Tommy, sitting nervously on the couch inside the house.]

Chris Hansen: [continuing] Our suspect, who we've identified as Mickey Mouse, initiated contact with Tommy online and has been chatting with him for the past two weeks.

[Cut to a shot of Mickey Mouse walking up to the front door of the house. He knocks on the door, and a camera shows a view of him from the peephole.]

Tommy: [whispering] That's him.

Chris Hansen: [whispering] Okay, stay calm. Let's see what he wants.

[The camera cuts to inside the house, where a police officer is standing in the kitchen, watching the live feed from the hidden cameras.]

Mickey Mouse: [speaking to Tommy] Hey, I'm Mickey. You must be Tommy.

Tommy: Yeah.

Mickey Mouse: So, you like Disney?

Tommy: Yeah, I love Disney.

Mickey Mouse: Me too. I work there.

Tommy: That's so cool!

Mickey Mouse: Yeah, I could show you around sometime.

[The police officer in the kitchen shakes his head in disbelief.]

Chris Hansen: [whispering to the camera] This is classic predator behavior. Trying to establish a connection with the child, gaining their trust.

[The camera cuts back to Mickey Mouse and Tommy.]

Mickey Mouse: Hey, I brought you something. [reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small stuffed animal] It's a Mickey Mouse plushie.

Tommy: [looking at the plushie] Thanks.

Mickey Mouse: [smiling] You're welcome.

[The police officer in the kitchen looks on with disgust.]

Chris Hansen: [whispering] It's sickening to see a beloved childhood icon like Mickey Mouse using his fame and reputation to prey on young children.

Police Officer: [opening the door]  Come with me, Mickey, and take a seat!

[The camera cuts to inside the house, where the police officer has escorted Mickey Mouse to a seat in the living room. Chris Hansen enters the room and takes a seat across from Mickey.]

Chris Hansen: [speaking to Mickey] So, why did you come here tonight?

Mickey Mouse: [nervously] I just wanted to meet him, that's all.

Chris Hansen: [holding up a printout of the chat logs] Is that all you wanted, Mickey?

Mickey Mouse: [looking at the printout] What's that?

Chris Hansen: [reading from the chat] "I brought condoms and lube. Are you ready to try it tonight?"

[Mickey looks down, his ears drooping in shame.]

Chris Hansen: [continuing] Is that what you came here for, Mickey? To have sex with a 13-year-old boy?

Mickey Mouse: [sighing] I don't know what I was thinking. I just...I don't know.

Chris Hansen: [shaking his head] It's hard to believe that someone like you, who's supposed to bring joy and happiness to children, could be capable of something so heinous.

Mickey Mouse: [tearfully] I'm sorry. I know I screwed up. I just need help.

Chris Hansen: [nodding] We'll get you the help you need, Mickey. But right now, you need to face the consequences of your actions.

[The police officer approaches Mickey Mouse and places him under arrest.]

Police Officer: You're under arrest for solicitation of a minor.

[The camera cuts to outside the house, where Chris Hansen is standing with the police officer.]

Chris Hansen: [speaking to the camera] Another predator caught in the act. It's a sad reality that these people exist, but it's important that we continue to expose them and bring them to justice.

[The camera pans to show Mickey Mouse being led out of the house in handcuffs, his head hung low in shame.]

Chris Hansen: [continuing] And to all the parents out there, please monitor your children's online activity and be aware of the dangers that exist in the digital world.

[The camera fades to black as the sound of police sirens grows louder in the background.]
