  3. That extended 'why' is the first sign of defensiveness, but I can excuse that because of the weirdness of your question.

  7. I'm suspicious that this missed point was on purpose, but I don't have enough precidence and evidence to say so.

  11. Here, /here/ is where it begins, her guard goes /up/ and her word choice says she's going on the offensive, passive aggressively. Her tactic of choice, from this exchange alone, says 'guilt Val for thinking she's a Bad Person,' which is honestly impressive for one dang word and one punctuation mark.

  15. This... rings as 'missed the point' again, but again, not enough evidence to say for sure. She focuses on the part that /isn't/ the questionable one, and the one she can actually defend. Again, can't prove it, but I am Suspicious.

  19. This is where the tone gets more defensive-aggressive. She dismisses your concern as unimportant (she already knows, duh, despite never saying as much anywhere before this I imagine) and tries to tip things into Val being 'shamed.' The flat sentences and word choices say she's telling you something so simple it's offensively baffling to her that Val missed it, and setting up a place for Val to defend their reasonings that such a normal person could have done anything problematic. Given how Tumblr is, it's a good tactic, but unfortunately for Sunni, Val is not part of the Perfect Purity Brigade.

  23. When it doesn't work, she switches back to 'missing the point,' and this is /absolutely/ on purpose. Val is talking about problematic behavior, Sunni has 'decided' that she wants them to mean 'Valor doesn't like Sparks,' which is hilariously telling of her need for approval.

  27. That sound you hear is her language stiffening into superiority, to give it an edge to cut with. Odds are, she would've posted the link even without approval, to do all the work for poor helpless Val.

  31. And this is what Sunni sticks to for a while. She's treating Val like asking if she knows that her character's actions are toxic shows that they're too unenlightened and childish to know better. The pet name out of nowhere, the spelling everything out like Val forgot somehow, it's to make Val feel like they're stepping out of line with wrong information and insulting Sunni in the promise. She's hoping they'll let go of the matter and focus on apologizing out of panic that they hurt her.

  35. And then provides more information that has /nothing/, absolutely /nothing/ to do with the situation. This is a list of good behavior used to justify ignoring the bad, presented to challenge Val to say that someone who does such good things could /possibly/ be the kind of person who is /evil/ enough to be /problematic/. It still doesn't work, so she changes tactics.

  43. More asscovering, and if I didn't see the question, I'd say it was good natured. Fuck knows I do the exact same thing all the time. However, my questions are also as neutral as possible, where Sunni's...

  47. is /*not*/. God, where do I even start. 'Why did you think' implies the wrongness from before. They're asking them to justify their tremendous insult of accusing her of being Evil. 'Your job' in this case is drawing a specific picture, of Val taking it upon themselves to act as the Perfect Purity Brigade and interrigate people on the off chance that they're problematic. This is particularily hilarious and super obvious because she /just tried/ to appeal to the Perfect Purity Brigade mindset, which she's now condemning. Obvious answer: she's only using them to bully Val. The mention of 'us' ropes Sky into this, raising the stakes; not only has Val called Sunni Evil, they have obviously called /Sky/ Evil too, which is worse. This speaks volumes about the fact that Sunni didn't talk to Sky about if Val asked or not, because then she'd know this wouldn't work: Sky responded positively and normally, and Val knows it. If she had, this was only a desperate attempt to layer the guilt on thick, which is also a possibility but not a large one imo. And finally, 'all this' is as vague and encompassing as possible, leaving /exactly/ the insult up to Val, who will automatically, as humans do, fill in the blank with what they saw as The Terrible Thing.

  50.
  51. Aaaaand Sunni immediately drops the tactic and the insult because Val responds with a soft version of 'because I'm your friend and I give a fuck, you diseased walnut.' Sunni knows that the tactic makes /her/ the bad guy, so poof! it's all gone without a word, no follow up, no explaination of why she was defensive, just dropping the knife like it burned red hot because it was useless now.
  52.
  53. CONCLUSION: Sunni is way more interested in her 'goodness' reputation being seen as 'pure' by others than actually not doing shitty things. If I hazarded a guess, based on other behavior, she's decided that the best plan to get people to like her/her muse is through shame, fear, and bullying instead of, you know, being likable, and anyone implying something might be wrong with her/her muse/her behavior is immediately getting shut down through any means necessary.
