Kiragi: But I can't focus! Math and history are so boring!

Jakob: I don't care if it's boring. You need to learn it.

Kiragi: I know how to do it! I'm just bad at it!

Jakob: It's more than being bad, Kiragi. I'd wager you don't understand half the concepts on the work your father and I give you.

Kiragi: But Dad! It's just-

Jakob: No buts, Kiragi! You have until the count of three.

Kiragi: ...

Kiragi: Fine!

Jakob: That's what I thought.

Kiragi: Nice! I bagged a bunch of animals today! I bet Corrin'll be really happy if I took them to the mess hall! Maybe they'll even ask dad to take it easy on me with the stupid work...

Jakob: Hmm... He left again...

Kiragi: (Ack! Dad's in my room!)

Jakob: What am I doing wrong? I thought I'd made the concepts easier to understand... Perhaps if I changed the math problems to relate to hunting, he would have an easier time...

Kiragi: (I didn't know he put that much work into this stuff...)

Jakob: If I changed the wording of the histories to make them sound more like stories... That would make them easier to remember.

Jakob: It seems I need to revise the material to suit Kiragi... I had better get started.

Kiragi: Hi, Dad!

Jakob: I see you're home, Kiragi. Have a good hunt?

Kiragi: You're not angry I snuck out...?

Jakob: I am, a bit. But I understand forcing you into working won't help you learn.

Kiragi: Um... Could I try again? I didn't know you put so much work into it... I feel bad for not trying my best!

Jakob: If you're willing to put the time in, I don't see why we can't try again.

Kiragi: You're closing the book? What about the next chapter of history work?

Jakob: I thought you would prefer to spend this afternoon hunting. You've completed your work, so the day is yours to use as you please.

Kiragi: But...

Jakob: But?

Kiragi: ...I'd rather stay here and work some more! I like spending time with you!

Jakob: Are you certain?

Kiragi: Yeah! You're the best teacher ever! You make this stuff fun!
