- The Book of Ice.
- Now being within the surrounding area of Frostvale/Dragons Peak. Kyo was sure to already feel the hard cold winds of the surroundings. He was just glad that he had bought gear to survive the cold winds. It wouldn't be long before he actually found a nice place within the snow and the roaring winds to sit down. Turning around he opened up his book and placed it in his lap. Which gave him time to think. Certainly, the bandits who stole his stuff. Seemed to be gullible to just ask him to take out his things. Where as he left the book in the bag. Hoping that they wouldn't notice, and to his surprise. They didnd't. Which made him actually very glad.
- He would flip a couple of page before going back to the previvous page that he was on. Preparing to read again. But this time. Not outloud. As he went through the book. The first few chapters had seemed to basically over complicate the book. Which made him a little bit frustrated as he had to use context clues to figure out most of the rather safisticated words that were written within the book. But it also did give him more of a meaning behind ice and a better way to think about the element to use it better. Then the next few chapters he read seemed to speak of ways that you can use Ice. From using it to make sculptures, to devastating forays. Which was a huge range if you asked him. Then the book went into detail before explaining the three major skills that the author uses in combat. But not after saying that he wouldn't explain them since all magnus's are different. Which was kind of a kill joy.
- The process of Ice of actually simple since the book broke it down in such a simplistic way. There was even an instructional way to form Ice. Which Kyo never have done in this way. Which made him a bit curious to how he had done it in the first place. Smiling as he finished the ending of the book. It would seem that the majority of the entire book was simple. Well the beginning of it was pretty complex. The ending, the author had broken it down into something that was understandable. Smiling. He closed the book and placed it beside of him. Then he crossed his legs. He knew exactly what he needed to do.
- Placing either arm and having it rest on the leg of the same part. Kyo focused on his surroundings. This was simple enough right? Wrong. Focusing on his surroundings. He was able to pull up water from his surroundings easily. Afterall. He was in the northernmost part of the country. Where it pratically snowed every day. So drawing up enough water to surround himself. Kyo found this as an opputunity to take upon himself. To make ice was actually simple. It just took him alot harder to figure out. First. He had to condense the water that he currently had control over. Which was right now. Hovering above his head in a massive clumb. Kyo had to condense the pool of water into vapor itself. Which made him of ways of how to do it.
- About two of of straight meditiation. Kyo finally was able to actually turn the massive clump of water above him into vapor. Using both wind and water magic, Kyo was able to keep the vapor flowing around him. Then here was the hard part. Forming it into something. First he tried to attempt the feat. But nothing came true. But he then remembered that the ability needed to be at the coldest degree he could muster up.
- It was then that he summoned up a average sized orb and conjoined the two. Thinking he could skip the most important steps was wrong on his part. But now. He had it. Because he felt something happening, knowing that he was actualling doing what he trained himself to do. Adding plenty of more water with the vapor. He had to make more resources for the two to combine to make his own creation. Another two hours would go by before Kyo reopened his eyes to smile. He smiled as he saw his creation come true. It was a scupluture of himself. A sculpture of him with his Drakanite wings. Aswell as two horns of either side of his forehead and a tail coming from his rear end. It wasn't that very good as it wasn't that detailed. But he knew it was a self-portrait of himself. Staring at it. He smiled. But there was something that he added to it. A new twist. Where mixed or even Pureblooded Drakanites have normal wings. Kyo gave himself a special mix of wings. One that was designed to look as if they were imbued with ice.
- He imaged himself having a pair that had its own twist of Ice within it. Hoping that he could make it a reality. He didn't want to be like the rest. He wanted to be different. Pushing himself from the ground. Kyo stood up. It was time to go into Frostvale/Dragon's Peak and see what's going on!

- Dragon's Peak.
- Walking within the ruins of what was Frostvale. Kyo saw the misshaped landscape. Buildings ruined. Cracks in the ground. The entire thing was just a mess. Impossible and disgusting. It was just in ruin. Shit was just bad. He couldn't even believe it. The glorious city that he thought Dragon's Peak was is just. . . . . ruined. No houses in sight. No people. Just ferious cries that tore at the sky every now and then. Aswell as huge like creatures soaring through the sky. Something that he could only assume was a Dragon. Which was the only thing that filled his heart with joy. That, and the banner of Frostvale. It was torn and battered. But it still hung high. Which made him smile. Only if he had the artistic skills to draw this is a scrap book. He could show it to Millia when he went back home to Nostvale. But now. He had to usher forward. He wanted to see what was going on in Dragon's Peak.

- Arrival
- Walking within Dragon's Peak. The first thing that he would notice would be a gigantic roar coming from his left. It honestly scared him with wonder as he looked up at the ruined tower. Which at the very top held a gigantic green Dragon. One who seemed to guard the very tower as it swayed it's head around at his arrival. Looking down from its peerch. It just glared it's red eyes at him. Watching his every move as Kyo stared back up at it. Making eye contact with the creature as he looked upon it. He would then raise up his right hand and wave at the creature. Smiling as he done so which came with a reaction from the Dragon that he would never think of. The creature looked at him and he swore it smirked if Dragons could before moving away from the edge and disappearing from sight. Or maybe it had an annoyed look on. He couldn't tell but he prefered to imagine the Dragon smiling.
- Seeing as he sortive passed the admission to go in. So he did. Walking into Dragon's Peak, he went up further north. Wondering what was going on. As Kyo moved. His body had gotten rather accustomed with the weather around him. It made him even think of making things out of Ice. To see how far his progress went so far, and to be honest. It went rather smoothy. It was just like water and wind. For some unknown reason. He had a knack for the three elements once he got it down. It came natural to him after a while. How did he know. Because with a raise of his right hand. He was able to form vapor from his surroundings almost instantly, and seconds later had he imbued it with water from the atmosphere. Causing a cane of Ice to be made before his very eyes. He felt like he needed a walking stick. Not for support. But just to have a little fun with his journey.
- Walking further up. He had hoped to find something. Something that could help him connect and achieve his half-shift status

- Dragons
- His discovery ranged from going wide to small. As Kyo searched all around Dragon's Peak. He had quite the adventure. Entering old abandoned buildings aswell as meeting different types of dragons. Each of them ranged from different elements. But one that fasinated him the most was a Dragon that looked like it breathed Ice. Tempted to touch it. The Dragon itself glared at him with it's eyes. Making him all the more tempted. But as for him. The Dragon wouldn't allow him to get to close to him. Which made him rather disappointed but he didn't want to take his visit for granted. The next thing he could imagine was him being chased out of Dragon's Peak with a lot of Dragon's flying after him and blasting him with their natural elements. But even so. As he neared the Ice Dragon. He felt rather close to the Dragon. Before leaving, he took it upon himself to make the great creature a sculpture of itself with Ice. Placing it right infront of him before he took off into the distance. He had much to discover.

- The Scene
- It took many hours for Kyo to finally search each part of Dragon's Peak. Saving the mountain infront of the castle for last. Along with the castle itself. But it didn't take long for him to be trotting up the stairs with a decent speed before he finally reached the top. Which wasn't that much for him to be honest. After all the training he put himself through and his journey from Nostvale to Frostvale. Crossing the ocean. That was enough of a workout to make this small accomplishment seem like nothing. Afterall, he did take arrows to his body. Which was hella painful now that he remembered it. It was just to much, but hey. He couldn't bitch about it now. He was actually glad for it. It made him stronger. It gave him his first sense of battle. On top of that. If he had the control over Ice magic that he had now then. It would've been so much easier and he was sure that he wouldn't have suffered so many injuries from that encounter. If anything. He wouldn't have suffered a thing

- Ryujiin
- Smiling, Kyo took in the air. Looking around with glee. He was sure that there was something up here for him. He didn't know. But he felt it. But to his dismay. There was nothing. So he thought to himself. Why not just take a few more minutes of his life to climb those stairs. Get a better view of the castle. If anything. Millia was sure missing out. He started to feel kind of bad that she wasn't with him now. He just hoped that she would forgive him. But that was enough of that. Rolling his shoulders. He yawned. Sure he wasn't feeling sore and his body wasn't aching from the long journey up the mountain. But he sure was exhausted mental. 'Maybe I should take a break' he thought as he reopened his eyes, and there. Right infront of him. Was a statue of an enormous Dragon. One that looked different from all the others that he had seen this day. Mouth agape. Kyo couldn't help but feel that this Dragon was indeed Ryujin. Grateful. Tears came into his eyes. Ladon hadn't lied. Ryujin was still alive. Even though it wasn't the real Ryujinn. The statue version was more than enough to confirm Kyo's faith within his god. He never did doubt his god. Never did give up on his god. But he had a naggering feeling in the back of his head. Always telling him that his god was weak and dead. That he was gone. But he always went against that voice. And now, he was glad that he did. Walking up to the statue. He stared at it in awe. Mesmorized by its beauty.
- Smiling with his eyes starting to tear up. Kyo walked up to it. Bowing down before the Great Ryujinn and bowing his head before it. Getting down on his knees as his face pratically kissed the ground.
- "Thanks you Ryujinn" he ended his prayer with as he looked back up to the Dragon Statue. Feeling a little bit more different than he had before. Greater in a sense. He wasn't sure if it was actually happening or not. But it felt great!
- Standing back up. He had a thought, no a goal. A goal that he would complete now

- Half Shift.
- Standing before the statue. Kyo stared off towards the statue. Prepared to perform his way of achieving the half shift that Millia and him had strived so hard for him to get. Well. It wasn't as hard as they did for elemental magic. But still. It was one of his goals and he was going to do it today. What other way to better his faith to his great god than by having it for the first time that he half shifted infront of his statue.
- Clenching his fist. At first he struggled. Tried to force himself to gather wings around his body. Growing out a tail and two horns. But nothing came. No matter how hard he focused in those areas to grow those specific types of body parts. Kyo kept at it. Dispite him making zero progress. It wouldn't be long before an hour went by with him trying it. But noting came to it. Nothing at all. He didn't even feel anything happening. Which bothered him. But not that much.
- Breathing in and out one more time. Kyo had to focus on it. Remembering how his kind had scales that were close to his bones. He felt that it had something to do with reaching inside of him and revealing his body. Revealing his body and helping him take that next step to perform the transformation known as Half-Shift.
- Closing his eyes. He relaxed his body taking deep breaths as he prayed to Ryujin once more. Hoping that his god would be there for him as he attempted this feat. Still breathing calmly, Kyo focused on his scales. Putting in mana within him. Feeling them for the first time. He willed them to come to his skin. As the more mana that he put into his scales. The more he felt them expand in size. Only to later grow and appear up on the flesh of his skin. Right underneath as it gave him a more reptalian look. Making him look more like a Dragon. But he wouldn't stop there. Furthering his concentration. Kyo sat down to get into a meditation state. To further enrich himself with his racials. It was the perfect thing to do to show his faith to Ryujiin. Aswell as reaching a milestone for himself.
- Before long, unknowningly. Kyo formed vapor around his surroundings Which later became frost as chilly winds suddeny formed around him, flowing silently but relentlessly as he continued to meditate. The coldness hadn't even began to bother him. It was as if he felt right at home. He felt as if the winds embraced him. Welcomed him as if he went on a long journey else where to finally return home many years later. Which was weird. But comfronting. Time then zipped by unknowingly as Kyo was in a deep meditation. Becoming one with himself. He didn't know how alien he was from himself as he spent the past few months to half a year by himself. The adventure was daring. Crazy. Terrifying. But it also had its good moments. Just like now.
- During this time in his trance. Ice had began to form around him. Encasing him in a type of dome unknowingly. It was as if the Ice/cold itself embraced him. But after hours of meditating. Kyo opened his eyes as he felt different. For one thing. The sky was dark. It seemed that he was in a deeper trance than he thought. Crazy right?
- Standing up. He felt something. Something new. Something that felt like it wanted to be free. Something that needed to be released. Standing up in a quick sucession. Kyo outstretched his arms before bringing it in close infront of him as he roared out in satisfaction. Then suddenly. He felt something shoot out his back. Alike to his forehead and even above his rear end. He felt a crackling sensation as he wriggled out his entire body. Relaxing himself as he released what he just had done. He finally brought about his Half Shift!.
- Excited more than any other day. Kyo stared out towards Ryujiin's statue. Sending out one more prayer of thanks for helping him and guiding him once more before turning around and facing Dragon's Peak. "Ryujin. One day. I promise that I'll bring back this land to how it once was. But instead. It will be a safe haven for Drakanites. Dragons can live along us, and use with them. Our dream will come true. We will bring this place back. I promise you." he said with a smile.
- But there was one thing that bothered him. He hadn't got to look at himself in his half form. Smiling, Kyo reached outwards infront of him and materialized a thin slate of Ice infront of him. Forming a mirror. He then looked at himself. Which it didn't take long for him to see himself. His wings, his horns, and his tail. Were different. Different from all those Drakanites in Nostvale. Where their Half-Shift was normal like any ordinary normal Dragon. His wings were different. Ice glazed across them with magnificence. They glowed pratically in his eyes. Smiling. He knew that he reached an entirely different level. He knew excatly what he had become, and this is what he exactly needed. He said he was going to be unique and here he was. An Ice Half-Shift.
- 'Man. Millia is gonna freak out once she sees this!' he thought to himself as he stood up and carried himself on. Today was a good day.
