Ratchet & Clank FAQ

Q: Why is the quality so bad?
A: In order to run Ratchet 1. The fastest possible version is PAL PS3 Downloaded version. You need an HD Capture card or a webcam pointed at the screen to run the game on the fastest version. Clank Proxy on Orxon 1 does not work for some odd reason if your game is not played in an HD resolution. Therefore 720p and 1080p are the only viable options. If you play PS3 in SD, Clank Proxy will not work. Therefore, my dazzle is rendered useless due to it not being able to capture HD. I'm going with potato cam (my usual webcam the Logitech C920), which is the cheapest option as of right now. I just spent a ton of money on AGDQ, so i will need some money to get an HD Capture card eventually.

Q: Why the hell is Ratchet spazzing through the air
A: You're probably talking about Infinite Long Jumps on Planet Umbris. Well essentially when you're over certain textures, (in this case it's the mud on umbris) you can chain lag jumps and long jumps together, by mashing them in a rhythm really fast. If you do it well enough you can skip very far into the level.

Q: Why do you keep pausing like that?
A: I am opening the PDA, it's an item that let's you shop at any time for a higher price. If you hold L1 while exiting the PDA, you can ground wrench swing out of it, this gives you a chance to high jump. When you chain these several times they're called infinite jumps. Or IJs.

Q: How is Drek dying so fast?
A: On PAL PS3 the pyrociter damage is glitched, and does more damage every frame, therefore he just melts.

Q: How do you have every weapon in the game?
A: I am most likely playing the New Game+ category. Ratchet and Clank games are really excellent speedgames in NG+

Q: How did you climb to the top of hoven like that?
A: Once again on the surface i was on you can infinite sideflip up, and make it to the top of Hoven. I open an in level movie to be able to shoot the RYNO while im in the turret.
